AHIP EXPLORATION

AHIP Information What all agents must know AHIP Welcome AHIP welcomes the agent to certification and centers on AHIP. It includes a reference document on how the Humana certification process works. It also introduces the agent to AHIP and guides them to the AHIP site. Transferring Plan Year 2018 AHIP Scores Agents would follow the link to the AHIP site, log in, and transfer their score back to Humana. The agent must get to AHIP through the Humana MarketPOINT University (HMU) link. That link establishes a data connection between the two sites. This data connection is what lets us receive the score. Registering for AHIP If an agent has not yet taken AHIP for 2018, they will be prompted to register and complete the AHIP course. The agent will receive a discounted rate ($125). Passing AHIP A passing score of 90% is required for AHIP and 85% for Humana MAPD/PDP Tests. Agents will be given three (3) attempts to pass either AHIP or Humana tests. If the agent is unsuccessful, they must wait until the 2019 AEP certification opens. No additional attempts will be approved 9

Humana grants AHIP Reimbursement when all the following criteria is met: Course Completion Agent completed the courses through the Humana Agent Portal, and Number of Sales Agent successfully enrolled ten (10) MA OR forty (40) PDP January 1, 2018 effective members, and Accreted with CMS Members must be accreted with CMS by March 3, 2018 I M PORTANT: Agents who complete AHIP in a single sitting may find that their Humana login has timed out, and their AHIP score does not transfer. Affected agents should log out of both AHIP and Humana, then log back into to Humana.com and from there, log into AHIP. Doing this will usually re-establish the connection and allow the agent to transfer their score. 10

2018 Certification Programs Important Dates Certification Launch Date All Certifications for Plan Year 2018 will launch on July 11, 2017 @ 12:00 pm EST. questions If I am an MGA, do I need to contact my agents? Will Humana contact me? What if a newly contracted agent asks why my courses are not showing up? 12

2018 Certification Programs What s New Rethink Routine Time Savings!!! External Field Certification has been reduced from 5 courses to 2. Improved Market Content Delivery Agents will now be able to review market content for any and all markets.. questions What does Market Content Delivery mean? What else has changed? 2018 Certification Programs The Agent Experience New External Agents All new external agents will begin their certification training by completing an online course called Humana's 2018 External Agent MAPD Certification Part 1 - Self Study.. course structure Section One - AHIP Section Two Sales and Marketing Compliance Information Sales and Marketing Compliance Information focuses on ethics and compliance. It includes reference documents about ethical principles and regulatory requirements that apply to agents. Section Three Humana Products and Process Humana Products and Process contains information on Humana s products and processes. It includes an overview of Humana s different product lines and guidance on MarketPOINT-specific processes. They also select their home market and are added to the local Market Office external agent list And even more 14

2018 Certification Programs What s New Section 1: Humana Sales Information Humana Sales Information provides marketspecific information. This year, the agent will be able to select and view as many markets as are applicable to them. The agent sees a list of all markets and can select the market(s) where they sell. The agent will see basic information about the market, including contact information for the local market office. They will also be linked to a Market Highlight Guide which will provide basic information about 2018 plans. Finally, all agents will receive guidance about the sales presentation and how they can enroll beneficiaries over the phone. Section 2: Ordering Materials Ordering Materials is the final section of online certification. It includes a simple attestation about Humana s HMO products. The agent must attest that they understand Humana s HMO plan requirements and will abide by them. This is a system requirement. After the attestation, the agent can order an initial set of supplies. This section includes the order link, and a reference document about how to order supplies. 15

2018 Certification Programs The Agent Experience Continued Attestation The agent must select I Agree within each attestation. If the agent does not agree to each attestation, they will be marked as failing certification. They will not be able to move forward until they contact Agent Support Unit (ASU) to have their course record reset. questions What does that mean? Do I have to agree to all HMO Attestations? What other questions do you have today?. 16

2018 Certification Programs Pioneering Simplicity CarePlus Face to Face and online certification and recertification will include Care Plus for Florida resident agents. Plus all MAPD/HMO certified agents not yet CarePlus appointed, we now offer online CarePlus Product Training courses for agents. FL Health License (RES or NON-RES) Active HMO Certification. questions What does that mean? I m a newly certifying agent with a NON-Res FL License can I sell CarePlus? I am certified to sell CarePlus but the system won t let me why? 17

2018 Certification Programs Switching Paths Did you know agents can switch paths AGENT SUPPORT If you are uncertain which path to select, contact Humana s Agent Support Unit (ASU) for assistance. 1-800-309-3163 It is possible that an agent might select one certification track (face-to-face or online) and then change their mind. Agents have the ability to easily switch tracks themselves. They (or you) don t have to contact your Account Executive, MarketPOINT Training, ASU, or their local market. They simply return to their Courses Assigned to Me page in Humana MarketPOINT University. From Courses Assigned to Me, they simply enroll in the alternate option. 21

Select a Path At the end of the self-study course, agents choose to complete certification face-to-face or online by enrolling in the appropriate course. 2018 Recertification Program Important Dates Recertification Launch Date All Recertification courses will launch July 18, 2017. Recertification Deadline Date External agents will have until November 30, 2017 to complete recertification. questions Why do I have to recert each year? How long does it take? I completed the course but I m not showing certified why? 23

2018 Recertification Program Important Impact on Agent Recertification If an agent certifies for Plan Year 2017, the agent will also need to recertify for the 2018 selling season. As always, 2017 AHIP completion and 2017 Humana self-study is not acceptable for the upcoming 2018 certification plan year. Recertification will Launch July 18 th. Agents who certify for 2018 on or after July 11, 2017 do not need to Recertify for 2018! AHIP Remains a Requirement for Certification and Recertification 24 questions
