The Refractive Globe shall provide an IES type III or type V distribution as required. The luminaire shall mount on a 3" tall by 3" O. D. tenon with six /4- diameter stainless steel socket set screws. (Luminaires with a B Series base shall mount on an 85" O. D. ring.) BALLAST/SOCKET ASSEMBLY shall be supplied with a quick disconnect plug and shall be removable by loosening a single thumbscrew. The ballast/socket assembly shall include high power factor ballast to operate a high intensity discharge lamp in accordance with ANSI standard for each lamp. The socket shall be glazed porcelain medium or mogul base. The luminaire shall be UL listed. FRAMES & FINIALS shall be copper free, cast aluminum produced from certified 356. alloy ingot per ASTM B 79-96. Castings shall be formed true to the pattern with complete detail. The arms, bands, medallions and luminaire base shall be one-piece construction without field assembly. FINISH of the luminaire shall be powder coated with a premium TGIC polyester powder. Before coating, the parts shall be treated with a seven stage pretreatment process including blasting, heated alkaline cleaner, rinse, phosphate coating, rinse, sealant, and a final rinse. Standard colors are black ANBK, dark bronze ANDB, or dark green ANDG. Custom Selected colors can be chosen from a wide selection of RAL colors and is represented by CS.
