SECTION 2: Tools available Quick orders In the second part of this guide, we will explain how you can take full advantage of some of the Traction transactional website features. When placing an order, entering your part numbers one by one can be time-consuming. We offer you two options to accelerate the process. Click on the QUICK ORDER button on the right side of the page. The first tool (Part Number) on the Quick Order page allows you to enter up to 10 part numbers at a time. The search engine will process the parts in one batch, reducing data entry time. Quick orders The second tool (Import File) allows you to import a text file created in Excel or another software. It is very important to use the correct format, such as a text with fixed fields of a certain width. See the next page for an example of how to create an Excel file. Importing a file allows you to quickly add many parts. Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625 9

SECTION 2: Tools available Creating an Excel file to import part numbers The first step in creating an import file is to build a two-column Excel worksheet: the first column shows the part numbers and the second, the quantity to order. You must then define a specific width for the parts column. To do so, select the parts column by clicking on the header, and then open the FORMAT menu, choose the COLUMN option, and select WIDTH. A COLUMN WIDTH window will open. Enter the value 30 in the box and click OK. Your parts column is now 30 characters wide. The quantity column can be any size, since it has no impact on the data import. 10 Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625

Save your document using the SAVE AS option under the FILE menu. Choose the FORMATTED TEXT (SPACE DELIMITED) (*.PRN) file type. Importing a file Your import file is now ready. Return to the QUICK ORDER page and click on the IMPORT FILE tab. Search for the file to import by clicking the BROWSE button and then click SUBMIT to start the parts number import process. Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625 11

SECTION 2: Tools available Once the import is complete, the parts list will show the prices and quantities available in your store. To add parts to your current cart, two options are available. You can click the boxes in the ADD TO CART column one by one, or you can click the SELECT ALL button. End the import process by clicking the ADD TO CART button. Your parts list is now showing in your cart. 12 Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625

Using and managing your favorites Your favorites allow you to create a group of parts for repeat orders. Once the group is created, you won t have to re-enter the part numbers, as they will remain entered in the system. We recommend grouping your favorites into categories, but this is not mandatory. To create your first category, click on EDIT CATEGORIES. In the empty field, enter a name for your category and click on ADD CATEGORY. The new category will show in the list below. Adding favorites We recommend grouping your favorites into categories. You are now ready to enter part numbers in your favorites. There are two ways to do this: by entering parts one by one, or by importing an Excel file. Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625 13

SECTION 2: Tools available Adding favorites using the search tool Use the same search tool that you used to add parts to your cart, then click ADD TO FAVORITES in the bottom left corner. Make sure to checkmark the box to the left of the part number. Entering a quantity at this point is optional, but by doing it now, you avoid having to enter this information when managing your favorites. Checkmark the box to the left of the part number. When the My Favorites window appears, select a part category, then click on UPDATE FAVORITES. 14 Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625

Adding favorites by importing an Excel file Importing a series of part numbers to your favorites is similar to importing parts to your cart. When creating an Excel file, make sure to adjust the part numbers column width to 30 characters, and the quantity column width to 10. A third column with a variable width can be used to specify the category of the added part (optional). Adding favorites Save your document using the SAVE AS option in the FILE menu. Choose the FORMATTED TEXT (SPACE DELIMITED) (*.PRN) file type. Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625 15

SECTION 2: Tools available On the MY FAVORITES page, go to the IMPORT FILE tab. Click BROWSE and select the file you wish to import. Click SUBMIT to process your request. Your list is now ready to be imported. The last step consists in confirming the quantity and category, and checking the ADD TO FAVORITES box for each desired part. Click the SELECT ALL button if the entire parts list corresponds to your selections. Complete the list by clicking the ADD TO FAVORITES button. 16 Technical Support technique support: support@tractiononline.com : support@tractionenligne.com 1-866-868-4625

Exporting favorites to Excel It is possible to generate a price list of your favorite parts, one category at a time, and export it to Excel. For example, this tool can be useful in updating the data in your business system. Technical support: support@tractiononline.com 1-866-868-4625 19 Exporting favorites
