Interact Guide The Web Content tool must be added to your Interact site to provide access to CSU Replay. You will need the email you received advising the address required to set it up. The subject of this email is usually CSU Replay Request. CSU Replay policies and guidelines It is your responsibility to be familiar with and adhere to all CSU Replay policies and guidelines. Adding Web Content Tool to Interact To add the Web Content tool to Interact 1. Login to Interact at http://interact.csu.edu.au/portal and select the subject you wish to add CSU Replay to, by clicking its tab 2. Click Site Info (left hand menu). It s exact location will vary depending upon what tools you have already added to Interact 3. Click Edit Tools underneath SITE INFO and the list of Fixed Tools and Elective / Pilot Tools will display 4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Elective / Pilot Tools list and locate Web Content. Click the All radio button (see circled below) to turn the tool from off to on and then click Continue 5. Highlight the words Web Content Tool and enter CSU Replay to rename the tool. You need to do this now as the name cannot be changed after you add the tool 6. Copy the web address from the CSU Replay email and paste it into the URL field. Ensure you select and copy the entire address from the email and paste the entire address into the URL field Page 2 of 6
7. Click Continue and click Finish to confirm the addition of this tool RSS Links are available and may be imported into any Feed Aggregator, for example itunes. An introduction to using CSU Replay in Interact To access CSU Replay recordings in Interact 1. Login to Interact at http://interact.csu.edu.au/portal and click the subject tab to select the subject you wish to view the recordings for 2. Click CSU Replay (left menu) and a list of Course Echoes (recordings) will be displayed The first one in the list will be highlighted by default and will be shown on the right hand side of the screen Use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen to scroll down and view the entire list of recordings Page 3 of 6
To select and play a recording 1. On the left hand side click to select the recording you wish to view and it will load in the window on the right. In this example videos (vodcasts) are listed 2. Click the Play button A new tab or browser window will open and the file will start playing Page 4 of 6
The recording information tab The recording information tab displays details about the recording. The Presenters name is listed as is the Date, Type, Duration and links to download the recordings. To sort recordings by most or least recent Recordings are sorted by Most Recent by default. You can change the sort order by clicking on the current sort order 1. Under Course Echoes heading click the current sort order and select the other one (in this case Least Recent) to resort To obtain the Audio and Vodcast URLs or subscribe to the RSS feed 1. Scroll down to the bottom of the Course Echoes List. Beneath the last one you will notice the RSS feed logo and EchoCenter version, hover your mouse over it and it will turn orange and the Podcast and Vodcast options will slide out Page 5 of 6
2. Click the option you would like (in this example Vodcast) and a page like the following will open providing the URLs and a link to the RSS feed Page 6 of 6
