www.dewetron.com DEWETRON 8 COUNTER INPUTS Counter inputs can be used for measurement of brake pedal switch, speed and distance from external velocity sensor, speed of four wheels, steering wheel position and others. High quality counter inputs are able to perform basic counting, encoder measurement and frequency measurement in the famous supercounter mode, which dramatically increases the accuracy of counting. 2 CAN BUS PORTS CAN bus inputs are able to acquire two full speed CAN bus lines to connect to vehicle CAN or connect special sensors with CAN output.
CONNECTIVITY 8 ANALOG INPUTS The analog inputs are able to acquire data from sensors like pedal force sensors, brake cylinder pressure, temperature of brake discs and others. The system includes 8 simultaneous sampled 24-bit analog inputs with front-end amplifier for connecting voltage and strain sensors as well as MSI amplifiers to measure thermocouple, IEPE or other sensors. Optional low speed temperature modules DEWETRON CPAD2 series modules are connected to a CAN interface of the DEWE-43 to add low speed temperature inputs. www.dewetron.com
DEWESoft Analog Inputs The aliasing-free 24-bit A/D converter offers the best base for this precision instrument. Standard voltage and strain inputs can be expanded for any kind of temperature, vibration or high voltage sensors by using the DEWETRON-MSI (Modular Smart Interface) connectors. All MSIs are automatically recognized as soon as they are connected. A complete range of solutions for dynamic vehicle testing. SOFTWARE Counters ADC-clock DEWETRON has advanced the state-of-the-art in counter/encoder inputs in our data acquisition systems, improving yet again our counters. The key advancement is that our counters are PHASE SYNCHRONIZED. Referring to the diagram, you can see that a standard counter is always a sample behind. With software interpolation you can get closer, but only with DEWETRON s advanced time shifting technology are both the phase and amplitude fully corrected! www.dewetron.com DEWETRON Easy-to-use Synchronous data acquisition of different sources Data export to almost any analysis package Powerful online mathematics and filtering Extensions for special applications Networkable operation with synchronization DCOM programmable extensibility DEWESoft turns your hardware into a powerful data acquisition system. Our award-winning data acquisition package is second to none when it comes to both pure recording power and ease of use. Normally this is a difficult balancing act: providing lots of capability and performance, without making the user interface hard to learn. But we ve done it! CAN Bus Data Recording Every automobile, truck, motorcycle, and most military vehicles and even some aircraft engines use the CAN bus. The Controller Area Network (CAN) is a serial bus containing hundreds of messages, each containing one or more channels of data. Cars, trucks, military vehicles, and many aircraft engines use CAN to send data about the engine, brakes, cooling system, steering system, and dozens of other parameters. CAN makes testing these machines a lot easier when you can access important parameters like the steering wheel angle, engine RPM, and wheel speeds, by connecting to the CAN bus rather than to spend hours instrumenting the vehicle! In addition, more and more sensors today output their data on this multi-device, convenient data bus, and thus the ability to record data from it becomes more and more important. DEWETRON has been on the forefront of providing a powerful yet convenient interface for recording data from the CAN bus, having introduced this in DEWESoft v5 in 2003. Today it is better and easier than ever, and we even added CAN bus interfaces to our latest ORION cards, providing up to four synchronous CAN interfaces per system. Setup is convenient, including the ability to import dbc database files, the de facto standard format for CAN channel setup.
