Introduction Target Audience The intended audience for this Customization Guide is Administrators who are responsible for customizing a TIBCO Nimbus site. About the Customization Guide The purpose of this guide is to provide information and detailed step-by-step instructions in order to allow site administrators to customize a TIBCO Nimbus site. For information and instructions on installing and upgrading a TIBCO Nimbus integration, please refer to the Administration Guide that can be downloaded from TIBCO s documentation site docs.tibco.com. Microsoft Windows Services provides a powerful toolset for organizing information, managing documents, and providing effective collaboration environments, all within a single Webbased environment that integrates easily with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office. TIBCO Nimbus has developed a solution that integrates TIBCO Nimbus Web Server functionality into a site, thereby providing users with access to all of the TIBCO Nimbus Web Server functionality through a environment. The same access rights apply in the interface as they do with the standard Web Server. These rights are defined on a user and user group basis in the Author Client. A site can be customized in many different ways. The table below lists a summary of what's covered in this guide. Note: With respect to the Source of Change, refers to changes made through the interface and Classic Web Server refers to changes made to the normal Web Server installation. Introduction Change Theme Colors Apply Theme Apply a theme Create and Modify Site Themes Front Page 2003, Designer Create and Modify Themes Design a theme Use TIBCO Nimbus Web Parts in Other Pages and Sites Import and Add Web Part Import a Web Part About TIBCO Nimbus TIBCO Nimbus is a process management mapping application that allows corporate information to be presented graphically and hierarchically in the form of maps and diagrams. It provides a simple user-interface that enables any employee within an organization to access information that is relevant and essential to fulfil their role. Maps are a collection of diagrams created by process authors. A map is initially created as a draft version until it is promoted to a master. Maps may also comprise a number of scenarios. Access rights can be assigned to individual users and groups, allowing or preventing access to an entire map or parts of a map. Continuous improvement to processes is achieved through a number of collaboration features. Acknowledgement requests ensure users are aware of process content that affects their roles. Reviews ensure that content is kept up-to-date. Feedback and change requests allow users to suggest improvements. Users can also be notified when content changes through the use of subscriptions. Statement sets are a hierarchical set of regulatory and auditable statements that ensure compliance to specific business and legal requirements, such as ISO 9000/12001/17799, CMMi, internal company policies, etc. Statements can be linked to activities that are related to compliance and governance. 5 TIBCO Nimbus Customization Guide

What's possible There are many ways to customize a site. The diagram below highlights some of these areas that can be modified. 7 TIBCO Nimbus Customization Guide

Overview of Editing in 2010 As a administrator there are two routes to edit a site, either through the Edit Page option or through the Site Settings. These can be accessed from the menu. Edit Page For a TIBCO Nimbus site you can add, remove or update Web Parts to the Home page. When you have finished editing the page, click Stop Editing. Site Settings The Site Settings allow you to perform a variety of administrative actions. You must have administrator rights to the Web site to administer any site settings. The following options are available: Administer users and permissions, for example add or remove users, edit site groups and change a user's site group membership. Modify the look and feel, for example the title, icon, description, theme. Galleries, for example manage Web Parts, libraries, templates. Site Administration, for example regional settings, site libraries and lists, site features. TIBCO Nimbus Customization Guide 8

General Modify the main logo and title You can change the logo and title that appears on every page associated with the TIBCO Nimbus site. For example, you may want to use a corporate logo. 1. 2. 3. Click, then Site Settings. Under Look and Feel click Title, description and icon. In the Logo URL and Description section, enter or paste the URL of the image that you want to display. For example, http://<server>/images/logo.jpg 4. 5. 6. To ensure it works, click Click here to test. In the Title and Description section modify the Title text. Click OK. Modify the navigation and page titles You can modify the navigation titles by editing the particular TIBCO Nimbus Web Server localization file. The localization values also dictate the actual page titles. 9 TIBCO Nimbus Customization Guide

1. Open the localization text file for the primary language that is specified in the internet options. In Internet Explorer, from the Tools menu choose Internet Options. On the General tab click Languages. The first language in the list relates to the localization text file that you must edit. For example, if the first language is English (United States) [en-us] then open LocaleText.en-us. The default location of the localization files is: C:\TIBCO Nimbus\Web Server\App\Localisations 2. Edit any of the values, as required. The common navigation link parameters are as follows: Processes lsprocesses Scorecards lsscorecards Storyboards lsstoryboards Documents lsdocuments Actions lsactions To-Dos lstodos Statement Sets lsstatementsets Reports lsreports My Searches lstopics Diagrams lsdiagrams Roles lsroles 3. Save the file and restart the Web Server. TIBCO Nimbus Customization Guide 10

Web Parts What is a Web Part Web Parts are modular units of information that consist of a title bar, a frame, and content. Web Parts allow you to create personalized user interfaces by simply dragging individual Web Parts onto a Web page. Each Web Part makes certain content or data available on a page, and may also make it possible for the user to work with or modify that data through the browser. By using the Web Parts located on pages in a site, users can access data from both inside and outside their organizations. When TIBCO Nimbus is integrated with Windows Services, administrators can design the default Home page that users see by adding, renaming and deleting the various Web Parts. Note: Web Parts can only be added and edited on the Home page. Add a Web Part You can add TIBCO Nimbus and non-tibco Nimbus Web Parts to the Home page. Note that nontibco Nimbus Web Parts must be imported into the TIBCO Nimbus site's Web Part gallery (see Import a Web Part for more information). 1. 2. 3. Click, then Edit Page. Click Add a Web Part in the column that you want to add the Web Part to. Select the Web Part that you want to add, then click Add. 4. When you have finished editing the site click Stop Editing. A theme affects all aspects of the page's appearance, including the following: Colors. Color schemes set the color of body text, headings, hyperlinks, banner text, link bar labels, table borders, and the page background. Choose between a normal or vivid color set. Graphics. Images add interest to your page elements and are typically used for background pictures, page banners, bullets, navigation buttons, and horizontal lines. Choose between the normal or active graphic set. The active graphic set uses animated page elements, such as hover buttons for your navigation bar. Styles. Styles are used to keep your headings and text consistent in font type, size, and color. Each theme uses a style that best suits the color and graphics in the page; however, a theme can be modified to suit your preference. Themes enable you to manage the appearance of pages in one convenient place. When a theme is chosen as the default appearance for a site, that theme applies to all new and existing pages. If the default theme is changed or removed, the changes are automatically applied to the entire site. You can also apply themes to individual pages. 1. 2. 3. Click, then Site Settings. Under Look and Feel click Site theme. Choose a theme and click Apply. Design a theme You can customize and design themes using a -compatible Web page editor, such as FrontPage 2003 or Designer.
