User Login The login button is located at the bottom right of the footer under Follow Us. See figure below. Login Screen If this is your first login attempt, click to Reset Password. The system will send an email to reset the password. Please note the email will be in your junk folder. If you have logged in before, then use your network username and the password you set earlier. User Logout The logout button is located at the bottom right of the footer under Follow Us. See figure below. 2
Chapter 2: Navigating within Evoq 8 Editing Bar The editing bar on the left side of the page consists of Dashboard, Manage, Settings, Analytics and Edit buttons. 3

Pages (Page Management) All pages in the portal will be listed on this page. Recycle Bin If a page or module was deleted, it can be retrieved by looking at the recycle bin. 6

Chapter 3: Editing Basic Information with the HTML Module The HTML Module is the most commonly used module for entering, editing and deleting content. Editing Content Areas To edit a module, click on the Edit button on the left hand side of the screen. See figure below. The screen after the Edit button is clicked. 10
Note: You will see all of the panes that exist in the current Clayton State template. Please concentrate on the panes the current content exists. The boxes have the ability to add text (the first button), images (the second button) and new modules (the third button). Click directly in the box where the text needs to be updated. The box that appears is outline with orange. This inline editor has minimal editing tools. See figure below The advanced editor can still be used in the new version. Click on the last button that has two arrows. See figure below. 11
The advanced editor figure. All of the features in this editor are the same as the current version. Evoq 8 gives the user the ability to preview the page on the desktop, tablet and mobile before saving (publishing) the page. This can be viewed by clicking on the eye icon. See figure below. 12
Evoq 8 is a little bit different when it comes to editing and saving your edits. When in the advanced editor, the option for save is now close. In order to save all changes, click the Close button. See the figure below for how to save all changes made on the page. After the Publish button is clicked, the page will exit out of edit mode. 13
If one of the menus on the right is visible, click View Site to return to the page. Adding images to the portal The ability to upload more than one image at a time has been added in Evoq 8. Drag multiple files at one to the blue box below. Also, this version gives a bigger thumbnail for each image. Images is 14
selected in the dropdown menu next to the title Assets. Make sure you chose the correct location to import your images. Images posted in images folder. Adding Documents to the portal In addition to adding multiple images at a time, the same can be done with documents. Docs is selected in the dropdown menu next to the title Assets. Chapter 4: Version Control Each page can be reverted back ten times. Version control is seen after the page has been saved the first time. If one edit is complete and doesn t look correct, then contact the Web team for help. When the eleventh edit has been saved, then the first edit has been removed. Evoq 8 allows the user to 16
view the changes before saving which will reduce the number of versions. Version control is located under page settings while in edit mode. Versions can also be compared now. See figures below. Chapter 5: Add a new page In order to add a new page to the departmental website, hover over manage and select Pages. Click on the blue button, Add Page. See figure below. 17
Add Page Elements (see figure above) On the Details tab: 1. Name (required) = Give the page a descriptive name 2. Title = Name of the page Name of the department Clayton State University 18
3. URL = Nothing required here unless the URL needs to be shortened. The URL will automatically fill in with the page name. 4. Description = Describe the nature of the page for SEO purposes. 5. Keywords = Type in keywords to help the page reach to the top of search engines. 6. Tags = Designate tags for the page 7. Workflow = Leave the select DirectPublish selected. 8. Display in Menu = Leave it on 9. Link Tracking = No action needed 10. Enable Scheduling = No action needed 11. Page Template = The template used for this page. 12. Permissions tab = No action needed After all of the Details have been entered, click the blue Create button. Once the page is created, the option of where to place the page is next. The new page will float around until it s dragged to the correct location in the page list to the left. Once the page is in the correct location, the new page will become active and content is ready to be added to the page. 19
