Notes Version 5.4.0.30 Released Tuesday November 4th, 2014 Release Summary This is the first scheduled service release for Avigilon Control Center 5.4. Users experiencing issues listed in the Issues Fixed list should consider upgrading to this release. This release also adds enhancements related to the configuration of adaptive video analytics, so users who have Avigilon analytics enabled devices will also benefit by upgrading to this release. Users of earlier versions of ACC 5 can refer to the subsequent release notes, for earlier releases of ACC 5.4, for further information on new features and issues resolved. New Features Advanced analytics event configurations, offering the ability to configure nine advancedmode event triggers for Avigilon cameras with adaptive video analytics and Avigilon Rialto analytics appliances The ability to enable, disable, and reset self-learning on Avigilon cameras with adaptive video analytics and Avigilon Rialto analytics appliances, and the addition of a progress indicator to show current self-learning status Issues Fixed Ensured that the recording timeline cache is properly rebuilt on system restart so that the recording timeline is visible in the ACC client Corrected an error preventing ACC from configuring a gateway IP address on a camera Corrected an issue where the ACC client could remove manually added sites Ensured that the Copy to Clipboard button is present when many licenses are being deactivated Fixed the PTZ preset keyboard combination shortcut for Pelco IP PTZ cameras Fixed an issue where the client could crash when searching the site logs Ensured that ACC uses the correct RTSP port when streaming from ONVIF devices Ensured that a child site correctly leaves the site family when merging into the parent site Added counters to help keep track of the number of true and false entries in the Teach By Example teach marker list Corrected an issue where a disconnected and subsequently reconnected camera would ignore the user s selection for a location and revert to its previous location in the site Prevented the last server in a parent site from leaving the site, when it has a child site connected Improved the usability of modifying the Region of Interest when setting up an analytics event configuration Improved the error message shown when importing settings from a file fails due to conflicts for remote users and groups Fixed a client crash that could occur when scrubbing video for an extended period of time Corrected an issue preventing analytics exclusion areas from being overlapped Ensured that Teach By Example functions correctly for an Avigilon cameras with adaptive video analytics rotated by 90 or 270 degrees

Version 5.4.0.30 (Continued) Issues Fixed (Continued) Fixed an issue where the ACC Admin Panel could crash after opening the help file a second time Removed an incorrect dependency on a user being required to have the setup name server group privilege in order to configure the recording and bandwidth on the server Known issues in this release Connecting an IP Rialto analytics appliance incorrectly results in a license error when the ACC server has no available licenses, and connecting a camera to a server that only has one remaining available channel license results in the disconnection of IP Rialto analytics appliances connected to that server. Pixel search will incorrectly return extra results that correspond to motion events from unclassified objects, when used with Avigilon cameras with adaptive video analytics or Avigilon Rialto analytics appliances. Leaving the Teach by Example panel open for an hour or more with no activity from the user causes subsequent attempts to add or modify the teach markers to fail. Associating an RTSP stream to the Rialto in ACC appears to work but does not complete the operation properly. The workaround is to use View to enter the proper RTSP link in the Rialto. When multiple map editing tabs are open, only the first save operation from one of these windows is properly executed. The workaround is to edit a map in only one tab at a time. Avigilon Camera FW Included V3.4.0.20 for HD H.264 H3 cameras with adaptive video analytics V3.0.0.36 for HD Pro H.264 cameras V2.6.0.40 for HD Micro Dome cameras V2.6.0.54 for HD PTZ cameras V2.6.0.48 for HD Bullet cameras V2.6.0.50 for HD H.264 H3 cameras V2.2.0.36 for H.264 encoders V.2.2.0.34 for HD H.264 cameras V4.4.0.2 for JPEG2000 Panoramic cameras V4.6.0.14 for JPEG2000 HD Pro cameras

Version 5.4.0.28 Released Saturday October 25 th, 2014 Release Summary This is an out of cycle service release to fix the critical issue described below. All users who downloaded and installed 5.4.0.26 should replace it with this release at their earliest convenience. Users of earlier versions of ACC 5 can adopt this release and refer to the release notes for 5.4.0.26 (below) for further information on new features and issues resolved. Issues Fixed Corrected a defect which could result in database corruption and event data loss in some situations, and specifically when starting or restarting the Admin Panel while the server was already running.

Version 5.4.0.26 Released Monday October 20 th, 2014 Release Summary This is the initial release of Avigilon Control Center 5.4 and introduces many new features, listed below. This release is also a service release for ACC 5. Users experiencing issues listed in the Issues Fixed list should adopt this release. In particular, users using the Virtual Matrix Application should update for functional, performance, and stability enhancements. Users of Axis PTZ cameras or PTZ cameras connected to Axis encoders should also consider upgrading to restore support for patterns. New Features Support for configuration of new Avigilon HD dome and bullet cameras with adaptive video analytics Support for configuration of Avigilon Rialto analytics appliances with Avigilon and Onvif cameras Introduction of new analytics events, alarms based on analytics, and recording on analytics events Introduction of classified object motion detection for Avigilon analytics enabled devices Automatically synchronize groups, users, and their permissions from a central parent site Richer corporate hierarchy support for user permission control Addition of connected cameras to the site status report Provided the ability to add individual Active Directory users to ACC defined groups Support for streaming from multiple sites simultaneously in a single Virtual Matrix Application Support for dewarping of Oncam Grandeye Evolution cameras Introduction of HTML help files, help packs, and help files for Swedish, Danish, Polish, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese users. Note that this change means that for non- English help files, users now need to download and install a separate Language Pack for their region Added support for viewing bookmarks and saved views in the HTML5 web client Added support for analytic events, audio, and bookmarks to the SDK End of support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Issues Fixed Ensured export events of non-admin users are visible in site logs Corrected an issue causing LPR Lane mask to reset to default on system restarts Improved memory usage and performance for ImmerVision dewarping Fixed an issue that occasionally caused difficulties modifying access rights after upgrading from 4.12 Ensured that patterns are available for PTZ cameras connected to the Axis M7001 encoder Removed the redundant connect button in site management when connected to a single site Fixed a rendering error on the client that had controls show up briefly on startup Ensured regular bookmarks without associated video are eventually deleted Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause the client to crash while shutting down Ensured that client upgrade packages are not offered over a WAN connection Fixed an issue where occasionally, video at the data aging boundary was inaccessible

Version 5.4.0.26 (Continued) Issues Fixed (Continued) Enabled the ability to sort groups by rank Corrected rendering defects caused by bitmap caching Disabled collaboration requests between users who are already collaborating Ensured servers removed from a site appear in an already open camera connection dialog Improved HDSM 2.0 performance in recorded mode Ensured that POS transaction buffer is cleared when switching from recorded to live mode Fixed a client crash that very occasionally happened while scrubbing the timeline Updated LPR installers to use new branding and graphics Ensured a user with the manage virtual matrix monitors privilege can delete monitors Corrected an issue where camera frame rates under one per second appeared incorrectly on setup Enlarged some dropdown boxes that were truncating text in some languages Corrected an issue which required the Virtual Matrix Application to login twice after site composition changes Removed digest authentication from the gateway, in order to enable support for ios 8. Users who require this mode (and do not want ios 8 support) can re-enable it by checking Enable HTTP Authentication in the network section of the gateway configuration The following issues were resolved in the HTML5 Web Client: Restored PTZ Control in HTML5 Web Client Improved session timeout handling Implemented detection of unsupported browsers Increased the number of cameras on the recorded timeline from 4 to 16 Fixed some instances of English text appearing in German and Italian versions of the client Ensured that skip frame buttons are replaced by rewind and fast forward buttons in playback mode Ensured the play button (rather than the pause button) is shown in playback mode Corrected an issue where recorded bars disappeared in IE9 when zooming into minutes range Improved the error message when using the wrong credentials to login Made it possible to highlight cameras from the timeline in recorded mode Corrected an issue causing zoom to lock up in recorded mode Corrected an issue with timeline localization Fixed a problem where in IE10, a second log-in dialog would open after closing the first one Ensured that physical zoom is possible (in PTZ mode) for cameras that support it Ensured that the playback time matches the red cursor line in the timeline Corrected an issue where streams would sometimes freeze until the page was refreshed Improved streaming performance Ensured the system tree is rendered properly after it is minimized and re-opened Modified the layout options to be more like those in the thick client Improved persistence of state across browser restarts Corrected an issue where a filter applied to the camera tree would be forgotten after a short delay

Version 5.4.0.26 (Continued) Known issues in this release Analytics does not currently support image rotation for Avigilon cameras with adaptive video analytics. This will be fixed in a future firmware release for these new cameras. For Rialto, the image received by the appliance must be already rotated. Customers with a Rialto device upgrading from ACC 5.2.2 must re-connect their Rialto device and re-configure analytics events and rules to ensure proper functionality. By design, new analytic privileges are disabled by default for all users except the default administrator account and group. Customers should explicitly enable the new permissions where appropriate. Connecting an analytics device simultaneously to both ACC 5.2 and ACC 5.4 causes it to reset continuously, and is not supported.
