Users have two methods of creating financial reports using the Report Designer: For novice Excel users the Layout Generator is easy to use and automates the design of simple report layouts quickly and accurately For intermediate and advanced Excel users the Task Pane is a 100% excel experience and offers maximum control and flexibility over report layouts 2.1.1 Task Pane The new Report Designer has incorporated a Report Designer Task Pane as a report design option for intermediate excel users. Users will be able to create and edit their layouts in the Layout Design tab. In order to create a layout users will need to configure the following areas: Layout Options allows users to specify filters which will apply to the entire layout once generated into excel. Processors that are 64-bit are becoming the standard for systems that range from servers to desktop computers. These 64-bit systems can use more virtual and physical memory than 32-bit systems. This lets user s work with much larger data sets than they could previously, and to analyze and solve large computational problems. Microsoft Office 2010 introduces a native 64-bit version of Microsoft Excel to take advantage of this larger capacity and now you can use Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting with this version too. Upgrade to Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Note: The option to Use my Outlook Profile within the Distribution Settings form is not supported when using the 64 bit edition of Microsoft Outlook 2010/3. The SMTP / Exchange Server option must be used instead. The entire Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting product stack has been moved onto.net Framework 4.0. 3.4.1 Optimized Installation For users who already have the.net Framework 4.0 installed, the installation process for Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting is now much faster than before. 3.4.2 Easy Integration with.net 4.0 Accounting and ERP Systems Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting can now be integrated with Accounting/ERP systems which have moved onto.net Framework 4.0 without the need for any additional customized integration development. 3.4.3 Smoother Integration with Microsoft Excel Being on the latest.net Framework allows Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting to leverage the most stable integration technologies available for Microsoft Excel, resulting in a better experience inside Excel when using the BI Tools features. Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting for Sage ERP X3 version 6.5: Release Notes Page 20 of 23

4.0 Resolved Issues Add Accounts on a Secondary Monitor Users making use of the old Financial Report Designer reports are now able to view the Add Accounts pop-up windows on a secondary monitor. Location: Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting > Intelligence Reporting > License Manager > Serialise Sage Intelligence Financial Reporting for Sage ERP X3 version 6.5: Release Notes Page 21 of 23

5.0 Known Issues Multiple Installations of Microsoft Excel Users may experience an issue with the loading of the Report Designer Task Pane Excel Addin when earlier versions of MS Excel are installed after later versions of MS Excel on the same machine. Users will be able to load the Add-In Manually. For more information how to manually load the add-in please refer to the Sage Intelligence Knowledgebase article Report Designer Task Pane Missing or Closed. Balance Drill Down using Account Exclusion rules In certain instances where users have made use of an exclusion in their account and row set rules, for example accounts 1000 TO 2000 1090 where account 1090 is the exclusion account, the drill down to balance will not omit the exclusion account(s) and will therefore display the exclusion account(s) along with the associated balance amount(s). Running Reports after Installation Users who have not installed the software must launch Excel after before running any report in the Designer folder in Report Viewer or Report Manager. Task Pane lists Task Pane lists are not filtered by the company selected in the Task Pane. Drill Down Users will receive a Drill Down Problem! Notification when attempting to drill down on a cell which contains more than two nested formulas. For example: AnGLBudgetYTDX3(,,,,,GLCurrentYearX3("001"),GLCurrentPeriodX3("001"),,,,,,H20) Exchange rate formula The exchange rate formula does not resolve a value when there is not data for the year and period selected as parameters.
