Alternatively, you can visit your An Post, PayPoint or Payzone outlet who will reissue you with your last receipt free of charge. What happens when the electricity price changes? Power codes usually have 20-digits. However when you buy a Top Up after a change in electricity prices you will be given a special 40 or 60-digit power code. This will credit your meter with your Top Up amount plus update it with the new price details. 7

Credit Running out of credit? When your credit reduces to 2 you will hear a low volume warning sound for two minutes. Press the zero button to turn it off. The warning sound will be repeated every 30 minutes (but not between 9pm to 9am GMT) until a button is pressed. Emergency Credit If you have not turned the warning sound off your supply will switch off. Should this happen simply press and hold the zero button and your 5 emergency credit will come on after a few seconds. Friendly Credit? To give you enough time to buy a Top Up, friendly credit is given automatically on: Weekdays if your emergency credit runs out after 4pm, Monday to Thursday, the supply will stay on until 9am* the following day. Weekends if your emergency credit runs out after 4pm on a Friday, the supply will stay on until 9am* the following Monday. Holidays Friendly credit will not run out on the following days (Jan 1, Mar 17, Dec 24, 25, 26, 31) and your supply will stay on until 9am* the following working day. *Please add 1 hour for Summer daylight savings time. Remember the next time you buy electricity, the amount of emergency credit and friendly credit used will be deducted from your balance. Important information on daily charges If you are away from your premises for a period of time, daily charges will continue to be deducted from your meter credit. You can check your applicable daily charges on www.sseairtricity.com. Please ensure you have enough credit on your meter at all times. 8

Using Electricity Wisely Your Lifestyle PAYG meter allows you to check how much electricity you are using. Button 1: This tells you the value and number of days credit left, based on the last week s usage. This is just a guide as you may use more or less electricity week by week. REMEMBER when your meter is first installed it will be one week before this display is accurate. Button 2: Pressing this several times tells you how much electricity you used yesterday, last week, last month and the last twelve months. Most meters store up to 13 months data. Button 6: By pressing Button 6 twice, some meters also display your consumption in kilowatt hours and the cost per hour. 9

Useful Information Moving House? Remember not to Top Up more than you need when you are making arrangements to move house. This will avoid unused credit being left on your meter. What if I have previous charges on my account? If you have any previous charges, a percentage of each Top Up you buy goes towards reducing these until they are cleared. We will send you a statement of your arrears every four months until this is cleared. You will then receive an annual statement, which will show the amount of energy you have used and the amount of credit you have bought. Statement of Use How is my consumption recorded? When the Lifestyle PAYG meter is installed, it will be placed near the existing ESB Networks meter. Your ESB Networks meter provides the official record of consumption for your property. ESB Networks will continue to read your meter and will still need access to your property to do this. In the unlikely event that there is a difference between consumption recorded on your ESB Networks meter and the Lifestyle PAYG meter, your account will be adjusted to reflect the consumption recorded by the ESB Networks meter. Full details can be found in your terms and conditions. 10
