With Siemens Hi-Fi Whole Home Audio system is different: Whole Home Audio Use Your Own Music Equipment Instead of propriateray equipment, the homeowner uses their own CD players, MP3 players, etc, with easy connection through the Remote Input Modules. Hi-Fi Installation Cat 5 Cable The Volume Source Controls and Remote Input Modules are both routed directly from the outlet to the Main Board using Cat5 cable. RJ45 Connectors The connections for the Cat5 cable at the Main Board, the Volume Source Controls and the Remote Input Modules are all done using an RJ45 connector. Hi-Fi Installation 16 Gauge Stranded Speaker Wire Speakers are wired directly back to the Main Board using stranded speaker wire. It is recommended that you use a 4 conductor wire for a neat installation. Run Length Terminations are designed for 14ga or 16ga speaker wire. Select wire gauge based on the length of the run: 14 Gauge: 200 ft run 16 Gauge: 100 ft run 13
