INSTALLATION STANDARD INSTALLATION 1. Start by downloading the UCLogon.msi from your account on Eltaweb.net 2. Make sure you have the.net Framework version 4.5 installed. It can be downloaded from Microsoft s website: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779 3. Run UCLogon.msi and follow the installation instruction from the wizard 3
INSTALLATION OPTIONS When deploying MSI installation packages through GPO or SMS, you may want to make them silent. When launching the MSI package from the command line you can use multiple "msiexec.exe" parameters which affect the user interface: full UI: /qf (this is the default parameter used by the package) reduced UI: /qr (the user interface does not show any wizard dialogs) basic UI: /qb, /passive (only a progress bar will be showed during the installation) no UI: /qn, /quiet (no UI will be showed during the installation) On Windows Vista and above, in order the install the package silently the installation package should run elevated. This can be achieved by using the "Run as administrator" context menu option from Windows Explorer or by setting the execution level to Run as administrator in the Installation Options section of the Install Parameters Page. In this case when launching the installation package the UAC prompt will appear asking for elevated rights 4
ACTIVATING YOUR LICENSE 1. On the first Run, you will see an evaluation screen. Click on Continue Evaluation to continue your evaluation or Enter License to continue 2. Click on the Enter License button. 3. You received a License Key for UC Logon. You can find it on your My Account page on Eltaweb.net. 4. Enter your License and click on Apply License 5. A Thank you screen will appear. Click on the Start Program button to continue. 5
UC LOGON CONFIGURATION The configuration of UC Logon is fast and easy. Make sure you have the following details available before you start: The IP-address of the Cisco Callmanger Your Extension Mobility username Your Extension Mobility PIN The MAC-address of your Phone* *Not required for Flexworker 1. On start-up the program detects the first run: 2. The Settings menu will be shown. When it doesn t show, it can be accessed on the main screen of UC Logon. Go to Menu and click on Settings. 6
3. Go to the Callmanager Settings Tab and fill in the required information. 4. Next, go the UC Logon Settings Tab and configure UC Logon to your liking. It is recommended to start UC Logon with Windows. 7
5. Optional, if work on specified days from home go to the Scheduler Tab. Here you can specify the days when UC Logon needs to run. 6. Once you re done, click on the Save button, to save your settings. 8
HOW TO USE NORMAL USE Start your computer and UC Logon will log you on your Cisco Phone. It will run minimized in your system tray. If you enabled UC Logon to Logout on Exit, UC Logon will log you out from your phone when: You Exit / Close UC Logon You shutdown your Laptop. Recommended settings for Normal Use: Logon with Windows: Logout on Exit: Enabled Enabled FLEXWORKER When Flexworker mode is enabled in the settings menu and you start your computer, UC Logon shows a popup where you can enter an extension: Enter the extension from the phone you want to logon to. Depending on your phone type the extension number can be found on top of the screen. After entering the extension, press the Login Button or press the Enter key. Further use is the same as normal mode. Recommended settings for Flexworker: Logon with Windows: Logout on Exit: Flexworker: Enabled Enabled Enabled 9
UC LOGON SETTINGS DESCRIPTION Please note that the options available for you are depending on your license. Callmanager Settings Callmanager IP The IP-address of your Cisco Callmanager. Domain User If your user is a domain user, you can simply check this box. The Username field will be entered automatically. Username Your Cisco Extension Mobility username. PIN Your PIN that goes with your Cisco Extension Mobility Username. Phone MAC-address The MAC-address of your office phone. It can be found on the back of your Cisco phone. UC Logon Logon with Windows Start UC Logon with Windows and log on to your Cisco phone. Logon delay Delay between logging on to Windows and Logging on to your Cisco phone. Usefull when the network connections are not yet available when Windows starts. Logout on exit? Logs you out on your Cisco phone when UC Logon closes. Logout on PC-Lock Logs you out on your Cisco, when you lock your Windows session. It also logs you back on, after unlocking your Windows session. This is a very useful presence and security option. 10
Flexworker mode When Flexworker mode is enabled, it prompts for an extension when UC Logon starts. To let this feature work, you have to assign a CSV-file. The button to do this, will be enabled when you enable Flexworker mode. Available in the Flexworker version Assign CSV This lets you assign a CSV-file with the data that contains the MACaddress and phone extension information. Format CSV-file: MAC;Extension Note: be careful when the location of the CSV-file is a network share. The network connection may not (yet) be available when UC Logon starts. Available in the Flexworker version Scheduler Enable Scheduler This enables the scheduler functionality. It will only run UC Logon on the selected days of the week.
