Avaya-FatPipe Solution Overview between datacenters, across the campus and over the IP WAN to the branches with Avaya SDN Fx Fabric Extend Technology and we end with a fully enabled edge for users and their applications using Avaya SDN Fx Fabric Attach Technology. Devices, users and applications view the network as a simple connectivity utility, one that automatically reconfigures itself when changes occur. A completely new way to build networks, Avaya Fabric Connect delivers a simplified, agile and resilient infrastructure that makes network configuration and deployment of new services faster and easier. A standards-based network virtualization technology based on an enhanced implementation of IEEE 802.1aq Shortest Path Bridging and IETF RFC 6329, Avaya SDN Fx Fabric Connect combines decades of experience to deliver a next-generation technology that combines the best of Ethernet with the best of IP. In addition, Avaya SDN Fx Auto Attach, based on the IEEE 802.1 Qcj (auto attach standard), under final standards development, is a feature that allows automatic attachment of devices, servers, and users to the network. Modern networks are also being pushed to their limits. Network Managers are managing a greater number of applications in the wide area network than ever before. Increased business usage of network-heavy applications is saturating WAN bandwidth. Introducing FatPipe's software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and hybrid networking products that provide solutions to these new network needs. Companies use FatPipe SD-WAN to create a software-defined overlay network that is independent from the carrier or physical underlying network. FatPipe's advanced policy management allows cloud destined applications to be routed directly out of the local Internet connection while maintaining corporate security policies. FatPipe Orchestrator is a single point of management that allows for rapid, zero-touch provisioning of branches. Orchestrator enhances FatPipe s patented MPSec technology with open APIs for network integration and central policy management. FatPipe s hybrid, software-defined WAN takes a 7 layered approach to achieve true WAN performance optimization that addresses each of the following: connectivity, data compression, data caching, protocol spoofing / optimization, multipath traffic shaping, security, application path optimization, and application portability. Together FatPipe SD-WAN and Avaya SDN Fx help drive simplicity and agility across the entire infrastructure with a true end-to-end application-aware unified fabric. 2

Avaya-FatPipe Use Cases Smart Site-to-Site Security Use Case Avaya-FatPipe Solution Overview Customers require security encryption across the WAN/hybrid WAN. FatPipe provides IPSec security with FIPS 140-2 compatible 128/256-bit encryption. FatPipe can session-multiplex across multiple paths to increase security by several orders of magnitude, and performs smart-selective encryption without adding any additional load to a path. Security on public and lower security threshold paths can be raised easily to the level of private paths benefitting any organization requiring compliance with government regulations like HIPAA, PCI, SOX, etc. FatPipe s Smart Security effectively extends the security of the Avaya Fabric platform across the WAN. Data Compression / Application Optimization Use Case Customers require Avaya Fabric to extend across the WAN and optimization for SDN Fx MAC-in-MAC traffic. FatPipe provides WAN optimization and multi-line compression that reduces Fabric traffic by approximately 70%, thereby increasing available bandwidth. By parsing down to the payload, FatPipe can optimize packet traffic. Multi-line policy-based routing and monitoring of jitter, latency and packet loss determine the best path for VoIP, video and other mission-critical traffic. FP + Avaya offers a competitive, simple, comprehensive solution to compete effectively against vendors that present disparate products as a single solution yet are short in proven performance. 5
Avaya-FatPipe Solution Overview Hybrid WAN Load Balancing Use Case Customers require dynamic use of their multiple connections in an Active-Active or Active-Active-Active state. FatPipe provides connectivity using any combination of MPLS, broadband, wireless or satellite connections. FatPipe load balances across these multiple paths and split-tunnels the internet traffic to the public cloud for access to public servers. With burstability of traffic to any additional bandwidth that may be on a backup path, FatPipe augments the bandwidth on the primary path. This benefits companies with an MPLS network or multiple dedicated internet connections by allowing the use of all available bandwidth. For manufacturing, SOHO and retail companies, as well as branch offices where having a large pipe may not make operational or financial sense, FatPipe offers the option to utilize backup paths actively rather than just standing by passively. Sub-Second WAN Failover Use Case Customers require continuity of their connections so that critical transactions are completed and do not have to be repeated. FatPipe provides sub-second failover in the WAN that complements Avaya SDN Fx s sub-second failover in the LAN. Traffic-steering and failover are reduced to 200 ms or less. MPSec performs deep packet inspection and parses packets to find the optimal path; and sub-second failover provides session-connectivity without having to restart the session in the case of line failure, thereby reducing potential traffic security concerns. Critical transactions credit card, patient information, and other continuity-required transactions remain up and stateful without the need for resending, which benefits retail, health care, financial, and any institution that uses electronic payment exchanges. 6
Avaya-Fatpipe Solution Overview Unified Communication Enhancement Use Case Customers require transparent VoIP or video unified communications failover to improve the user experience. FatPipe provides seamless failover for voice and video sessions without dropping a call. Sub-second failover across a hybrid multi-link WAN means most users will not experience any usage degradation resulting from a line failure. This is not just simple failover: FatPipe can detect path degradation or brownouts by monitoring jitter, latency, and packet loss of a path, and adjusts application flows dynamically. This benefits any organization with mission-critical traffic demanding session continuity, whether a call center that depends on continuously available unified communications or VoIP traffic, a 911 center, or any organization that relies on stateful continuity across sessions. 7
