Development: Key Dates 2001: Global Compact officially presented in Russia. 2008: Global Compact Network Russia formally established. 2009: Memorandum of Understanding singed between Global Compact Office in New York and Global Compact Network Russia. 2011: Russian Network representative invited to participate in Global Compact LEAD. 2012: Russian Network representative invited to participate in Global Compact Board. Russian Network delegation took part in Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum: Innovation & Collaboration for the Future We Want in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 2013: Russian Network delegation took part in UN Global Compact Leaders Summit: Architects of a Better World in New York, USA. Russian Network delegation hosted news conference Russia s Hour. Investments of Russian Business in Sustainable Development on the eve of UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York, USA.
General Information Status: formal Legal entity: in the process of establishment Supreme management body: General Meeting Collegiate management body: Steering Committee which consists of 3 permanent members Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, United Nations Development Program, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; 2 NGO and 6 private sector representatives elected by General Meeting Chairperson: elected by Steering Committee members and officially represents the Network Chairperson Steering Committee General Meeting Present Steering Committee Chairman: Alexander Ivanov, Deputy Chairman Board Member of State Corporation Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) Secretariat: facilitates the execution and maintenance of the decisions of General Meeting and Steering Committee and serves as a focal point for the Global Compact Office Membership fees: voluntary private contribution

Priority Areas for 2014 Priority areas for 2014 are: 1. Implementation and integration of the Global Compact ten principles in the area of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption into activities of the Network s participants; 2. Institutional development of the Network; 3. Promotion of the best practices and results achieved by participants and active involvement of the Russian business into the Global Compact initiative.
