GIGANETIX GIGE VISION CAMERA SERIES The SMARTEK Vision Giganetix camera family comprises affordable, easy-to-use digital cameras designed for imaging applications in industrial environments. The fully GigE Vision compliant hardware and driver interface combined with a flexible mechanical concept allows for seamless integration in any existing and cost-sensitive system. SMARTEK Vision offers superior image quality with minimal noise and a comprehensive feature set combined with a fine selection of 18 CCD and CMOS sensors from SONY and ON Semiconductor. Ultra-low trigger latency on two input and two output lines allows for optimum synchronization of camera arrays with LED strobe illumination. Throughout the design of these cameras, utilization of industrial standards (C Mount, Hirose plug, RJ45 plug for CAT5e or CAT6 cables) enables a significant reduction of the total costs of your machine vision system without any compromise in quality! HIGH-PERFORMANCE STROBE CONTROLLER FAMILY Machine vision applications from factory automation to traffic control benefit significantly from the performance of their illumination system. With the HPSC series, SMARTEK Vision offers full control over light intensity, timing, synchronization and overdriving of one or more illumination sources, providing enough power to fulfill the demand for increasingly strong high-power LED arrays at an unbeaten stability. Unbeaten Power The digitally regulated internal switching power supply provides 120 W at the output to produce pulses with up to 40 A at 48 V in strobe mode, or to supply a precisely regulated constant current of up to 5 A at 24 V, ensuring enough power in every situation! Full Asynchronous Operation The fully revised architecture of our HPSC series allows full timing- and parameter-independent operation of up to four channels, while supporting frequencies of up to 50 khz. Efficiency State-of-the-art hardware design combined with Optimal Autosense for ideal running conditions at any time, reaching efficiency beyond 90%. Precision Synchronization Opto-isolated trigger inputs and separate output lines for external synchronization. An input to output delay of only 2 µs allows pulses with a resolution of up to 1 µs / 1 ma and durations from 1 µs to 1 s. 4-Way Configuration Quick and easy device configuration via the ready-to-use software application, enhanced by RAW command support and a fully described SDK (C, C++, C#.Net, VB.Net, Delphi) for Windows and Linux. It is obvious you need imaging technologies for your individual application, but in the early development stage, it is hard to determine the required features, the size, the shape or the framework of the processing en- tity. This is why SMARTEK Vision s technology concept is based on a portfolio of cutting-edge standard devices, providing an established and powerful basic architecture, ready to create the product of your needs fast and cost efficient. The customer-specific developments range from completely re-designed mechanical variants and multi-head cameras to sensor design-in and re-branding. CASE PROJECT: A90 For a project spanning just 8 weeks Smartek Vision s standard camera design was electrically and mechanically modified to solve a customer specific application. Requirements: A spring coiling machine which produces up to 900 springs per minute needs each spring to be checked for repeatable quality. The inspection requires a camera to be installed within the machine meaning there is limited space and close proximity to high EMC fields. As the axis for image acquisition in this type of machine must be very short and is close to moving machine parts, the requirement was to build the optical axis of the camera as short as possible and perpendicular to the data and control interface. In addition, a particularly high EMC stability was required, because environmental influences may occur, which may cause unwanted trigger signals.
