Please be sure to read the precautions before replacing the units. - Keep the User's Guide at hand for your future reference and be careful not to lose it. - Make sure you follow the safety precautions listed in the User's Guide. Warning and precaution symbols Be sure to observe the safety precautions. - This manual contains the instructions that should be strictly observed at all times to prevent injury to yourself and other persons as well as damage to property. Injuries and damage that might be caused by using the product improperly are classified according to the following symbols. 1.2 Safety Precautions 1 1.2.2 Precautions When Replacing Units Preparation Tasks Before Replacing Units When replacing the units, be sure to receive instructions from our customer engineer, read the User' Guide in entirety and perform tasks in the specified order with appropriate tools. Do not perform any tasks that are not described in the User's Guide. Failure to follow specified order or use appropriate tools could result in injury or physical damage to the product. Please be careful when handling the fusing unit since it can be very hot. It could cause a burn. Unit Replacement Tasks Keep this bag away from babies and children. Do not use in cribs, beds, carriages, or playpens. The thin film may cling to nose and mouth and prevent breathing. This bag is not a toy. Do not drop metal pieces such as clips, staples and screws inside the product or into crevices in it. They could cause a short-circuit in the product, resulting in an electric shock or a fire. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged. It could cause an electric shock or a fire due to electric leakage. Do not place the unit removed in the replacement tasks on an unstable table or sloped surface, or in a location subject to excessive shocks or vibrations. It could drop or fall and may cause personal injury. Please pay careful attention to the surroundings when placing the unit removed in the replacement tasks. 1.2 Safety Precautions 1 Power Plug Do not unplug or plug in the power cord with a wet hand, as you could receive an electrical shock. Plug the power cord all the way into the power outlet. Failure to do this could result in a fire or an electrical shock. Do not tug the power cord when unplugging. Tugging the cord to do this could damage it, resulting in a fire, electrical shock, or breakdown. Do not place any objects around the power plug, as the power plug may be difficult to pull out when an emergency occurs. Remove the power plug from the outlet more than one time a year and clean the area between the plug terminals. Dust that accumulates between the plug terminals may cause a fire. Actions in Response to Troubles Do not keep using this product, if this product becomes inordinately hot or emits smoke, or unusual odor or noise. Immediately turn OFF the power switch, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and then call your Technical Representative or your authorized service representative. If you keep on using it as is, a fire or electrical shock could result. Do not keep using this product, if this product has been dropped or its cover damaged. These labels and indicators advise you to pay special attention to avoid any dangerous situations or serious injury when you replace the units. 7CAUTION DO NOT remove warning or caution labels. - Should any warning or caution label be removed, you may fail to check a specific part to be alert for unexpected trouble or injury. If you find any warning or caution label removed or illegible due to soilage, please contact your service representative. Caution Labels on Fixing Conveyance Unit CAUTION: High temperature! Burn You may get burned. DO NOT touch the left side part of the fixing unit when the side part or side cover of the fixing unit are open for removal of jammed paper. CAUTION: High temperature! Burn You may get burned. DO NOT touch the top surface of the dehumidifier heater when lifting the transfer belt of the fixing conveyance unit for removal of jammed paper. CAUTION: Injury You may get injured. DO NOT put your hands or arms in between the main body and the fixing conveyance unit. Touching connecting terminals of electric parts may damage the machine or cause unexpected trouble. Please do not try to work yourself, but contact your service representative. 2 Installing Fusing Unit EF-105

2.1 Replacement Parts 2 2 Installing Fusing Unit EF-105 When replacing the fusing unit, follow the precautions below to perform the task. NOTICE When replacing the fusing unit, be sure to receive instructions from our customer engineer. NOTICE Please do not dispose of the packaging box of Fusing Unit EF-105. Keep the packaging box and reuse it to store the replaced fusing unit. NOTICE With Paper Feeder Unit PF-710 installed, only tray 4 (the lower tray) can be used as a paper source. All the other trays are unavailable. 7WARNING - Keep this bag away from babies and children. Do not use in cribs, beds, carriages, or playpens. 2.2 Installation Procedures 2 2.2 Installation Procedures 2.2.1 Installing Fusing Unit EF-105 on the Main Body 1 Turn off the machine's sub and main power switches, and then unplug the power cord from the outlet. % Be sure to turn off the sub power switch first. 2 Open the front door. 3 Insert a screwdriver into the space under the lever M4. Push to release the lock part of the lever [1] to the left, then turn the lever M4 [2] to the right. Pull out the ADU drawer [3]. % When the machine is not powered, the lever M4 cannot be turned unless its lock is released. 4 Open the reversal output part [1]. AccurioPress 6136/6136P/6120 2-3

2.2 Installation Procedures 2 5 Loosen the lock screw (purple) [1] by turning in the direction of the arrow. 6 Slide the fusing unit [3] in the direction indicated by the arrow while holding both the front side [1] and the rear side [2] handles, then pull up and remove it. 7CAUTION - Fusing unit would be very hot, please be careful when handling it. 7 Holding the handle of the front side [1] and the rear side [2] with both hands then set the Fusing Unit EF-105 [3] to the correct position. Slide the Fusing Unit EF-105 in the direction of the arrow until it reaches to the rear end. 8 Push the lock screw (purple) [1], then tighten by rotating in the direction of the arrow. 2.2 Installation Procedures 2 9 Close the reversal output part [1]. 10 Insert the ADU drawer [1] then lock it by pulling up the lever M4 [2] in the direction of the arrow. 11 Close the front door. 12 Store the removed fusing unit in the empty packaging of Fusing Unit EF-103. 7CAUTION - Please wait until the fusing unit gets cold before storing it in the packaging. 2.2 Installation Procedures 2 2.2.2 Installing Parts in the Tray (when Paper Feeder Unit PF-710 is installed) Depending on the size of the envelope to be used, the attached auxiliary guides need to be installed on Paper Feeder Unit PF-710. For details on the envelope size, refer to page 5-2. NOTICE Trays cannot be withdrawn when the machine is not powered. Plug the power cord of the machine into the outlet, turn on the main power switch, then the sub power switch before performing the installation. Using Envelopes of 100 to 139.7 mm in Width The following parts need to be installed when envelopes of the above size are used. - Side auxiliary guide (2 pieces) - Positioning screws (4 screws) To use envelopes of 139 mm or smaller, use the side auxiliary guides and the small size guides of Paper Feeder Unit PF-710. 1 Pull out tray 4. 2 Move the 2 small size guides (2 pieces) to the positions in the picture and remove the 4 screws (2 screws for each position). 3 Install the positioning screws (2 screws for each position). 2.2 Installation Procedures 2 4 Install the front and rear side auxiliary guides (2 pieces). 5 Open the small size guides provided for each of the front and rear side guide plates. 6 Push in tray 4 until it locks into place. Using Envelopes of 139.1 to 245 mm in Width Follow the procedure below to use envelopes of the above size. Side auxiliary guides (2 pieces) are not needed. 1 Pull out tray 4. 2 Move each of the small size guides (front/rear) toward the outside the side guide plates. % If the auxiliary guides are installed on the side guides, pull them up to remove them. The positioning screws (4 pieces) installed on the side guides are not required to be removed. 3 Push in tray 4 until it locks into place. AccurioPress 6136/6136P/6120 2-7

3 Removing Fusing Unit EF-105

3.1 Removal Procedures 3 3 Removing Fusing Unit EF-105 This section describes the procedures to remove Fusing Unit EF-105 and the feed auxiliary parts for envelopes. When using paper other than envelopes, follow the procedure below to replace the fusing unit and remove the parts installed in the tray. 3.1 Removal Procedures 3.1.1 Removing Fusing Unit EF-105 from the Main Body When you remove Fusing Unit EF-105 from the main body, follow the installation procedure in reverse. For the installation procedure of Fusing Unit EF-105 to the main body, please refer to page 2-3. 3.1.2 Removing Parts from the Tray (when Paper Feeder Unit PF-710 is installed) When you remove the auxiliary guides (2 pieces) installed on the side guide of tray 4, follow the installation procedure in reverse. For the installation procedure of parts to the tray, please refer to page 2-6. NOTICE Trays cannot be withdrawn when the machine is not powered. 4 Copy/Print Operation

4.1 Loading Envelopes in the Tray 4 4 Copy/Print Operation This section describes how to load envelopes in the tray with the parts for envelopes installed, and to copy/print onto those envelopes. 4.1 Loading Envelopes in the Tray Envelopes with the following specifications can be loaded in the tray. 4.1 Loading Envelopes in the Tray 4 4.1.1 Loading Envelopes in the Tray 4 of Paper Feeder Unit PF-710 1 Pull out tray 4. 2 Widen the side guides and rear guide. 3 Place envelopes with the print side up. % Align the envelopes to the left side of the tray with the flaps on the right. 4 Align the side guides and rear guide to the edge of the envelopes. NOTICE Do not apply excessive force when moving the side guides. Otherwise, the guides may be damaged. 5 Push in tray 4 until it locks into place. AccurioPress 6136/6136P/6120 4-3

4.2 Copy Operation 4 4.2 Copy Operation In order to copy on envelopes, the paper setting for the tray must be modified from [Paper Setting] on the Machine Screen or [Paper Setting] on the Copy Screen. This section describes how to change [Paper Setting] on the Machine Screen and then to start copy operations. d Reference For details on Paper Setting, how to load originals, and how to make copy settings, refer to the HTML user's guide. 0 Only tray 4 (the middle tray) can be selected. Furthermore, the paper type and size are automatically fixed to [Envelope] and [Custom]. 0 The width and length of envelopes can be entered in the custom size setting. For details on the width and length of the envelopes, refer to page 5-2. 0 The print side is automatically limited to simplex, and the output side to Face Up. 1 Press [Paper Setting] on the Machine Screen. 2 Select the [Tray4], and then press [Recall]. 4.2 Copy Operation 4 % If any paper setting for envelopes has been registered, that setting is automatically selected (other settings become unavailable) on the screen. In this case, modify the items as necessary. 3 Press [OK]. % Press [Change Set] to display the Change IndividualSet Screen. [Envelope] is automatically selected for Paper Type (other types are unavailable) on the screen. 4 Press [Paper Size]. % Enter the width and length of the envelopes. Press [(1)], then enter the width (size in crosswise direction) of the envelopes loaded in the tray. Similarly, press [(2)] and enter the length (size in feeding direction) of the envelopes. 4.2 Copy Operation 4 5 Press [Weight] and select [62-74 g/m2], [75-80 g/m2], [81-91 g/m2], or [92-105 g/m2] as required. % Make other paper settings as necessary. When all the setting is completed, press [OK]. % Press [Close] to return to the Machine Screen. 6 Place the original on the original glass or ADF. 7 Press the [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen. 8 Select the [Tray4]. 9 Choose the Simplex/Duplex setting. 4.2 Copy Operation 4 % When placing the original on the original glass, select [1->1]. % When placing the original on ADF, select [1->1] if the original is one-sided or select [2->1] if it is twosided. 10 Select [Face Up] for Face and [1 to N] for Order in the Output Setting. % The items automatically set for Face/Order vary depending on whether the original is placed on the original glass or ADF. In either case, select [Face Up] for Face and [1 to N] for Order. Press [OK] on the Output Setting Screen to return to the Copy Screen. 11 Make other copy settings as necessary. 4.3 Print Operation 4 4.3 Print Operation The operation varies depending on the type of your printer driver. Follow the appropriate procedure to perform your print operation. For PS Plug-in Driver Though the Windows screens are used to explain the following procedure, the operation method is the same on a Macintosh. 1 Select the Print command of your application, then select the appropriate printer driver. 2 Click [Detail Setting] or [Properties]. The Printing Preferences window of the printer driver is displayed. 3 Click the [Paper] tab. 4 Click [Acquire Tray and Paper Data] to obtain the paper information from the machine. 5 Select [Tray 4] for "Paper Tray". 6 Click the [Layout] tab. 7 Click [Custom Size...] for the paper size and enter the size of the envelope. % Provide all the necessary information, and then click [OK]. % For details of the envelope size, see Section 5 "Specifications. 8 Click [OK] at the bottom of the window to start printing.
