Representational State Transfer oder auch RESTful web services API- Typ, der es Programmen erlaubt einfacher Interaktionen über das Internet REST API s benutzen HTTP- Aufrufe zwischen den unterschiedlichen Applikationen zum Zugriff auf bzw. zur Manipulation gespeicherter Informationen in Datenbanken.
