This user guide explains the features and functionalities of the Mega Menu add-on. It also provides steps to configure the Mega Menu add-on and use the features of the Magento store. Conventions used in this guide The conventions used throughout this guide are mentioned in Table 3. Table 3: Guide Conventions This Abbreviated menu command Indicates Menu commands in text may be abbreviated rather than full. For example, the text may instruct you to click Download, and the screen may display a Download w button. Successive menu choices Successive menu choices may be with a greater than sign (>) between the items that you select consecutively. Bold text This displays the names of menu items, dialog boxes, dialog box elements, and commands. Text in italics This is a reference to other documents. te tes contain additional useful information. Chapter 1. Introduction This chapter provides a general description of the Mega Menu add-on and its features and benefits. A Site Administrator can use the Mega Menu add-on to: Create a customized menu by selecting from the multiple menu types and features available in the add-on Design a more dynamic website menu to suit the business requirements Features The Mega Menu add-on has the following set of exciting features: Multiple menu types to choose from to configure the menu Selection of products and categories to be displayed on the menu Manual configuration of the look and feel of the menu Responsive add-on User Interface (UI) Support on Magento Community editions 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9 Limit for maximum number of allowed columns Benefits The Mega Menu add-on provides the following benefits to the Admin user: Helps in creating a more dynamic menu to improve usability Improves the configuration process Saves the menu configuration time Provides optimum output on various devices due to a responsive UI Supports multiple resolutions due to a responsive UI design: o Mobiles: 320 px. and 480 px o Tablets: 768 px. o Desktops: more than 770 px Mega Menu Add-on User Guide 3

Chapter 2. Administration Management This chapter provides configuration details of the Mega Menu add-on on Magento. It describes the following administrative tasks: Taking backup Clearing the cache Compiling Magento Providing theme support Configuring the Mega Menu plugin Taking backup You must initially take backup of your files and database and then install this extension. You should test this extension in your development environment to detect any conflicts with your existing extensions. Clearing the cache After installation of the Mega Menu add-on, you must clear the Magneto cache. The Admin must log off and then log on again, else the Admin might get 404 errors. To clear the Magento cache 1. On the System menu, click Cache Management. Figure 1: Cache Storage Management 2. Click Flush Cache Storage. 3. In the Cache Storage Management section, click Select All. 4. In the Actions list, click Refresh. 5. Click Submit. The cache is cleared. Mega Menu Add-on User Guide 4

Compiling Magento You can use the Compilation feature to increase the performance of Magento. te: Before making any changes to your Magento installation, you must disable the compilation. To compile Magento 1. On the System menu, point to Tools, and then click Compilation. The Compilation page is displayed. 2. On the Compilation page, click Run Compilation Process. To disable compilation 1. Go to System > Tools > Compilation 2. Click Disable 3. Go to System > Cache Management 4. Click Refresh. Providing theme support This add-on is developed based on the default Magento theme. This add-on may not support a specific customized theme. If you need any support for a theme-related issue, please contact us at: Support_Magento@cybage.com. Configuring the Mega Menu add-on After successful installation of the Mega Menu add-on, an Administrator or seller (based on the seller privileges) can configure the Mega Menu add-on in Magento. To configure the Mega Menu add-on 1. On the System menu, click Configuration. 2. In the left navigation pane, click CYBAGE>Megamenu. The Mega Menu page is displayed. Mega Menu Add-on User Guide 5

Figure 2: Mega Menu Configuration 3. On the Mega Menu page, provide the configuration details for the Mega Menu add-on by entering data in the following fields. Background Color Font Color Font Family Font Size Maximum number of columns Select the color to be used as the menu background. Select the color to be used for the text. Chapter 3. Manage Menu Items This chapter provides details about managing the menu items. The manage menu items link is available under the Megamenu menu title. It describes the following points: Menu Item Manager General Information Content Menu Item Manager The Megamenu Item Manager provides the Admin features to search menu items based on various search criteria. The screen has the following UI elements. Field name Add Menu Item Refresh Menu Cache Export Reset Filter Search Submit Description Click the button to add a new menu item. Click the button to refresh the menu cache. Click the button to export the grid menu items in either CSV or XML format. Click the button to refresh the search filter. Enter values in any of the following filters and click the search button to execute the search option: ID Name Order Menu Type Status Select any of the following actions and click submit to execute the action: Delete: Delete the selected menu items in the grid. Change Status: Enable or disable the selected menu item in the grid. Mega Menu Add-on User Guide 7

General Information The General Information tab is generic for all menu types and has the following fields. Field name Field type Description Mandatory Name Text box Type the name for the menu item to be displayed on the front end. Title Text box Type the title for the menu item to be displayed on the front end. Store View Single select list Select the language in which to display the menu item. Status Drop-down list Enable or disable the menu item. Order Text box Type the number by which the placement order of the menu item is to be decided. Content - The Content tab is used to set up the type of menu item. - Select a menu item from the list of available menu items to configure specific options available depending on the menu type selected. Category listing: The Category Listing menu type is used to display categories and featured products in the menu item. It has the following fields. Template Drop-down list A list of templates available for the category listing menu type. Number of columns Text box Type a number from 1 to 5 for the total number of columns to be displayed on the menu. Header Content Drop-down list Select a header template fetched from the static blocks. Footer Content Drop-down list Select a footer template fetched from the static blocks. Feature Type Drop-down list Select the feature type. Feature Product box title Text box Type the text to be displayed in the featured product box. Feature Products Command button Click the button to upload the featured products. - Click the button again to collapse the list of products. Categories Command button Click the button to upload categories. 2. Product listing: The Product Listing menu type is used to display products in the menu item. It has the following fields. Number of columns Text box Type a number from 1 to 5 for the total number of columns to be displayed on the menu. Header Content Drop-down list Select the header template fetched from the static blocks. Footer Content Drop-down list Select the footer template fetched from the static blocks. Products Command button Click the button to upload the featured products. - Clicking on the button again will collapse the list of products 3. Contact Us: The Contact Us menu type has the following fields. Field name Field type Description Mandatory Template Drop-down list A list of templates available for the contact us menu type. Number of columns Text box Type a number from 1 to 5 for the total number of columns to be displayed on the menu. Footer Content Drop-down list Select a footer template fetched from the static blocks. 4. Anchor text: The Anchor Text menu type has the following fields. Target URL Text box Type URL in the expected format. http:// or https:// or ftp:// 5. Content Text: The Content Text menu type has the following fields. Number of columns Text box Type a number from 1 to 5 for the total number of columns to be displayed on the menu. Header Content Drop-down list Select a header template fetched from the static blocks. Footer Content Drop-down list Select a footer template fetched from the static blocks. Main Content Text box Type and modify the text to be displayed on the menu. The section has the following features: Show/Hide Editor Insert Widget Insert Image Insert Variable Manage Menu Items te: - Although the Admin can add multiple menu items, we recommend a maximum of 6 8 menu items to ensure effective output of the add-on features. - If the categories or products selected in the menu items are disabled, although the Admin is able to add them, they are not displayed on the front end to the end user. - Menu items can have duplicate values. - Mega Menu Add-on User Guide 12

Chapter 4. Uninstall Add-on You may uninstall the Mega Menu module from Magento Connect. After uninstallation, you have to manually run the following queries on the database to delete the database table entries made by the plugin. We recommend that you allocate this task to an experienced MySQL Developer. Prior to uninstallation of the add-on, you must take backup of your database. te: If you have used tables prefix, replace <PREFIX> with your database table prefix, otherwise remove <PREFIX> from the earlier queries. Following are the database queries.
