Upgrade Instructions 1. Firmware upgrade instruction Refer to the logical steps described in file named NTC-6908T Firmware Upgrade V1.9.107.22.pdf. Important: For module firmware upgrade or downgrade on version MC8790_K2.0.7.51BAP, it is mandatory that this module firmware upgrade is made under router firmware 1.9.107.22. The router must be running firmware 1.9.107.22 before upgrade or downgrade the module firmware MC8790_K2.0.7.51BAP. 2. Firmware downgrade instruction To downgrade the router firmware from version 1.9.107.22 to Version 1.6.0. Important: You should keep the version 1.9.107.21_r as the recovery image for the router. It is mandatory to use the following logical order to in order to prevent downgrade failure issue. Do not downgrade the system recovery image. a) Login into the device web management interface, navigate to System > Load/Save > Upload page (http://192.168.20.1/appupload.html ), Upload the main system image file : ntc_6908_1.6.0.cdi b) Once the file is uploaded to the router, then click Install to install the main system image: ntc_6908_1.6.0.cdi. c) Do not remove power when LEDs of the router flashing ON/OFF rapidly as this means the router is busy performing firmware upgrade. d) Once the firmware is downgraded successfully, the router will automatically redirect itself back to the Status page. e) You will then need to hit the Repair button on your test PC s Local Area Connection Status window > Support tab, to repair the IP address of your PC. f) Confirm your test PC has a valid IP address in the range of 192.168.20.x, and then refresh the router status page http://192.168.20.1/status.html to show the firmware version that your device is now downgraded to.
