Installing the Application
Installation 1. Find us in the AppExchange https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingdetail?listingid=a0n30000000q6pxeay 2. Click continue & approve 3rd Party Access.
Installation 3. Navigate to the Ambassador App (top right nav) 4. You ll land on the Setup tab. Login* to begin. *requires an Ambassador account 5. Click OK, to get redirected.
Installation 6. Click Allow after reading the Ambassador permissons 7. Allow the app permissions & login to your Ambassador account to connect to Salesforce.

Setup: Ambassador Creation (Step 1)
Import Ambassadors as (Choose one) 1. Contacts; 2. Ambassador Custom Object
Ambassadors as Contacts 1. If you wish to have your Ambassadors exist as contact records in SF: 2. Edit Layout 3. Add Fields - Create as Ambassador - Ambassador Custom Label #1 - Ambassador Custom Label #2 - Ambassador Custom Label #3 - Ambassador ID - Ambassador Referral Memorable - Referring short code - Referring contact 4. Add Buttons
Ambassadors as Contacts (cont.) 5. When creating a contact in SF, click Create Ambassador to create them. 6. *The email address is required. 7. Within a minute or two, they ll be in the Ambassador list!
Ambassadors as Contacts (cont.) 8. If the contact exists, it will not duplicate the record. 9. It will match the email address, and update the record accordingly.

Setup: Lead Field Mapping (Step 2)
Leads Record Mapping 1. If passing leads into Salesforce, you can map fields from Ambassador (left) to SF. 2. Event Data is specific to the event (ex: time) while the Custom Label is specific to the lead (ex: industry)
Setup: Automated Campaign Options (Step 3)
Campaign Setup 1. Go to the setup configuration and click on Click here 2. Choose the campaign* (from Ambassador) to sync, click it. *campaign must be created in Ambassador first
Campaign Setup 3. You ll see the Ambassador campaign name and campaign ID 4. Choose to create commissions for: - lead creation - lead conversion - negative opportunity stage - positive opportunity stage 5. Connect Ambassador campaigns to SF campaigns
Setup: Web-to-Lead Tracker (Step 4)
Adding the Web-to-Lead Tracker 1. Copy the Web-to-Lead tracking code and paste it on the page with your existing web-to-lead form. 2. Use your own form ID*. 3. Our snippet will do the rest! *You must find the form ID and paste it in the tracker snippet (highlighted in red)
For use with other Lead forms 1. If using Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot, etc: 2. Grab the short_code from the referrer (using a hidden form field); and 3. Pass it into Salesforce Lead.Ambassador Short_Code c field via that systems connector.
Setup: Ambassador Import (Step 5)
Ambassador Import 1. Once you click Initial Ambassador Import your ambassadors will be added to Salesforce using rules set in (1). 2. This will keep Ambassadors in sync. 3. You only do this once. snippet (highlighted in red)

Step 4: Gotchas!
Gotchas! You must have the Salesforce Enterprise Edition to use this package. Be sure that the form ID is correctly placed in the Web-to- Lead tracker code. Email salesforce@getambassador.com with questions!
