1. Introduction Avaya WOS-E version 8.0.4-7401 is a feature release of the product, suitable for deployment in production networks. This release note covers new features and known issues with Avaya WOS-E version 8.0.4-7401 as well as issues resolved since the last release to Avaya (8.0.2-7338). WOS Enterprise 8.0.4-7401 is a patch release that supports the following Access Points and AOS versions: WAP9112 AOS Lite 8.0.1-126, AOS Lite 8.1.1-134 WAP9114 AOS Lite 8.0.1-126, AOS Lite 8.1.1-134 WAP9122 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9123 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9133 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9132 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9144 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9172 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAP9173 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAE9132 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAO9122 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 WAO9132 AOS 7.6.3-6289, AOS 8.1.3-6662, AOS 8.2.0-6852 1.1 Requirements for WOS-E 8.0.4 WOS-E 8.0.4-7401 is upgradable from WOS-E 8.0.0-7285, 8.0.2-7338 and WOS-E 7.5.7-6951. Do not downgrade from this version to an earlier version. WOS-E 8.0 (and above) requires minimum of 8GB of RAM. Ports 9444 and 8085 to be open between APs and WOS-Enterprise (in addition to the ports in previous releases). 1.2 New in WOS-E Rel 8.0.4 Apply configuration template based on AP group after profile push VMWare tools and OVF template for CPOD integration Upgrade tool VM to increase system disk size Support for WPA2 PSK and RADIUS MAC at the same time AOS only, not AOS-L Support for 802.11r and 802.11k for AOS Lite Avaya Inc - External Distribution 2

Note: Upgrade Notes In order to enlarge the disk space required by WOS Enterprise 8.0.4, provided upgrade tool must be used If you need to update your AOS and AOS Lite versions, please do so before upgrading to WOS 8.0.4 WOS Enterprise 8.0.4communicates with AP via web sockets for AP status. After upgrading from WOS 7.x to WOS 8.0.4, all AP status will be offline. In order to initiate communication via web sockets, all APs must be refreshed. 1.3 WOS-E Rel 8.0.4 Upgrade Notes Upgrades to WOS Enterprise 8.0.4 from WOS revisions prior to WOS 8.0.2 must use the provided upgrade tool (wos-disk-and-vm-upgrade-8.0.4-7401.ova). Upgrades to WOS-E 8.0.4 from WOS-E revisions later that WOS 8.0.2 should use the.vau upgrade file. The previous.xau upgrade format is no longer supported. If you need to update your AOS and AOS Lite versions, please do so before upgrading to WOS 8.0 WOS Enterprise 8.0 communicates with AP via web sockets for AP status. After upgrading from WOS 7.x to WOS 8.0, all AP status will be offline. In order to initiate communication via web sockets, all APs must be refreshed. A bulk AOS upgrade of a large number of APs may result in WOS showing some upgrade failures, even though the actual upgrade was successful. Doing a refresh on related APs resolves this. WOS Enterprise 8.x requires an SSH credentials to the Access Points to perform Discovery. Please make sure you have SSH user(s) configured on the system. 1.4 Limitations After backup is restored to a machine with a different IP address from the original machine, AP refresh is required in order to configure all APs with new WOS machine 1.5 Related Resources Please refer to Product Documentation and Release Notes of Avaya WLAN 9100 System, Software Release 8.0 available at https://support.avaya.com/products/p1570/wireless-lan-9100-series/all 2.
