Specialized in confidential studies for industry and professional associations. Confidentiality: None of the LES National / Regional Societies participating in the Survey, LESI, nor any survey team member has information on any participant, individual company or compound names No individual deal data is reported used only in aggregate data set for analysis Results Available only to LES members 5

Proposed Survey Execution Objectives Everything to come from: National Society Presidents! Execute through Vault: provide execution efficiency Ensure Confidentiality of member participation Allow for several recruitment / promotional emails to Request / get maximum participation Allow each LES member to OPT out after the first email: receive NO Additional emails or communication about the survey. 8
Proposed Execution Framework 1. Survey email communications: would be a. Each participating National Society emails to its members, b. Under email memo signature of the participating National Society President. 2. A series (3-4) of survey promotion / recruitment email letters: a. each under signature of participating National Society President b. LES Members receive Individual Survey Link to participate on Confidential basis. c. Opt Out email link: to indicate NOT to receive any future email about the survey Note: it is well known that it takes 3-5 promotional emails / hits to maximize participation in any type of survey. In past surveys, only received about 30% of the survey participation from the initial email. It took several reminder emails and final request / pleas to get maximum participation. 9
Execution Logistics 1. Participating National Societies email addresses: A database file of participating National Society s members provided to Vault. How past surveys were executed. (Organized by LES society) Provided by each participating National Society database administrator (or at their request, by LESI through its database administrator ) 2. Refine the email list for Life Science oriented members: Survey committee reduces list to potential life sciences / pharmaceutical members (i.e. eliminate names from oil companies, high tech, etc.). 3. Each participating National Societies to provide President s email / contact information Used to prepare the signature for each National Society President Send draft to National Society Presidents for their approval (their signature correct) 10
