License files Translator no longer requires a license file. Related Programs Please contact Foresight support or your TIBCO account executive for details. TIBCO Foresight ICD-10 Conversion Adapter Uses Translator or Instream to convert diagnostic and procedure codes between ICD-9 and ICD-10 in HIPAA EDI. TIBCO Foresight Instream MAC Adaptor Converts EDI to and from flat file format for compliance with the CEM requirements for electronic processing of claims. TIBCO Foresight Instream Translator 5010 Step Up/Step Down Adaptor Maps to translate HIPAA EDI between 4010 and 5010 (Types 1-2). FT-14 and FT-15 Alignment issues have been resolved for EDI and TRADACOMs. Yes Translator 3.2.0 Hotfix 1 FT-18 A problem which caused Translator to exit when it encountered tabs and newlines in XML when translating from XML to EDI, in memory mode has been corrected. FT-25 When translating HL7 to XML, Translator now retains indexes in the correct order. Translator s previous behavior had been causing an issue with the repeating composite structure. Yes Translator 3.2.0 Hotfix 1 FT-26 In some cases, Translator was mapping invalid segment position. This has been corrected. Yes Translator 3.2.0 Hotfix 1 FT-29 Translator has been enhanced to handle flat files with Segment ID fields that contain spaces. No FT-31 The Translator Readme files have been updated to reflect that Translator requires Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 (Windows only). No FT-34 Translator now saves the XML Root Node value to the map. Yes Translator 3.2.0 Hotfix 1 FT-36 Translator now allows trailing spaces for a target document. No Deprecated Features This section describes deprecated features (if any), and lists features, if relevant, that may be useful alternatives to the deprecated features. Any use of a deprecated feature should be discontinued as it may be removed in a future release. You should avoid becoming dependent on deprecated features and become familiar with the suggested alternative features. None at this time. Migration and Compatibility This version will work with maps from previous versions. Previous versions may not work with maps from this version of Translator if they use new features. Previous Releases Translator Release 3.2.0 Change Additional guidelines De-identify maps Variable.Init rule Element delimiters All Foresight guidelines will be installed with Translator. Please see the Database directory. Each HIPAA 5010 document now has a map that overwrites sensitive information with dummy values. These maps are automatically installed into Translator s Database directory and have names that include the word Deidentify. Updated rule: The maximum number of variables is now 100. The element delimiter in the source or target can now be an ASCII character up to 255. Enter the hex value under Settings Source guideline or Settings Target guideline. Example: You can continue using a keyboard character for this setting, as in previous versions. Sub-element delimiters You can now specify a sub-element delimiter for the flat file target. Change EDIFACT release character Repeating elements EDIFACT release characters operate correctly, regardless of their locatiom. Repeating elements are now output correctly. Translator Release 3.1.0 Change RHEL Support UNICODE Java testing from Translation Tool Partner automation command line parameter Return codes Validating XML target data RHEL 4 is no longer supported for TIBCO Foresight products. RHEL5.5 2.6.18 is supported with the gcc 4.1.2 compiler. Translator will now accept and produce UTF-8 and UTF-16 data in Translation Tool, Translator.exe, and the Java API. Please see Encoding Options in Translator.pdf. For a demo, execute T_837I_5010_targetUTF-8 in Translator s Scripts directory, and look at the GS segment in the output. You can now build and run Java from within Translation Tool. Please see Building and Running Java Code from Translation Tool in Translator.pdf. -p command line parameter now invokes partner automation to select a map. Please see Partner Automation in Translator.pdf, and see the new demo T_837I_5010_PartnerAutomation in Translator s Scripts directory. Return code 111 will be returned if either the source or target is not HL7 but you are using the HL7 plug-in. Return code 117 will be returned if Translator cannot parse the XML schema being used in the map, or if the data does not match the schema. Return code 131 will be returned if you attempt to convert data that does not match the map. Example: trying to use an XML-to- EDI map to convert EDI to XML. Change Variable.Init rule Getting unique sequential number Changed Rule: The maximum number of variables that can be in one Variable.Init rule is now 100. It used to be 20. GetUniqueSequentialNumber gets a number from an external file and puts it in a variable. It then increments the number in the file by 1. Determining if a value contains a specific character Determining if a value contains a specific string Removing characters from a string Determining if a value contains all spaces Determining if a value has been unpacked Converting to implied decimal type (N, N1, etc.) New Demos A new String.ContainC determines if a value contains a specific character. It requires a block of sub-rules to take action based on the results. A new String.ContainS rule lets you determines if a value contains a specific string. It requires a block of sub-rules to take action based on the results. A new String.RemoveC rule lets you remove all occurrences of a character from a string. A new Variable.IsAllSpace rule determines if a variable contains all spaces. It requires a block of sub-rules to take action based on the results. A new Value.IsUnPacked rule lets you determine if a source value has been unpacked. It requires a block of sub-rules to take action based on the results. Translator Release 3.0.0 Change RHEL Support License files Turning off color Beginning in October 2012, RHEL 4 will no longer be supported for TIBCO Foresight products. RHEL5.5 2.6.18-238.1.1.el5 will be supported with the gcc 4.1.2 compiler. License files are no longer needed for Translator. You can turn off color display of large input files in Translation Tool. UpdateValue sends a variable back to the Java program that called Translator. CreateByTargetOrdinal creates a segment or record by referring to its ordinal number. Change Removing insignificant zeros Escaping characters in HL7 Java testing from Translation Tool MonetaryAmount removes leading or trailing zeros in real numbers. HL7 lets you escape characters in the data by converting them to the HL7 escape equivalent. You can now build and run Java from within Translation Tool. Please see Building and Running Java Code from Translation Tool in Translator.pdf. Translator Release 2.8.0 Change Sun Solaris support New output options Search rule updated Get attribute from XML source Run rules after the last iteration of a loop Upcoming changes Starting in July 2012, Sun Solaris 8 and 9 will no longer be supported for TIBCO Foresight products. Sun Solaris 10 and above will continue to be supported. Two new options let you customize output: Add CR/LF At End Of File Remove Spaces remove leading and/or trailing spaces in all values. Please see the Settings section of Translator.pdf. The Search.SegmentsInLoop rule now searches subordinate loops. Previously, it only searched the current loop level. XML.GetAttribute lets you get an attribute value from source XML. Please see the example source rule on the S-ISA record in the DEMO4_XML_to_EDI_837I.map. Change Run rules at the end of the file Rules.RunAtEndOfFile lets you create source rule(s) on flat file sources to run after the last segment has been written. Updated demo maps DEMO3_EDI_to_XML_837I.map Search.Element rules on the subscriber 2300 loop. DEMO4_XML_to_EDI_837I.map GetAttribute rule on the S_ISA. DEMO10_850_FlatDelimited.map - RunOnLoopExit rule on the source PO1 loop. Extended characters Translator can now translate extended characters greater than 128 properly. (#231) Extended characters Translator can handle extended ASCII characters (such as 0x85, 0x82, 0x92) used as delimiters in the input data. (#232) API When using the API, and specifying a map with guidelines that do not match it, you will now get return code 106 rather than an ungraceful exit. (#218) Loop mapping If two loops contain the same segment, under certain circumstances Translator placed the segment in the wrong loop. This has been fixed. (#230) Screen fonts You can now choose Smaller, Medium, or Larger screen fonts under Control Panel Display. Previously, the display was distorted in Translation Tool when you chose Medium or Larger. Translator Release 2.7.0 Change Tutorials in Translator.pdf have been updated Translator tutorials 1-3 have been updated to work if Translator is installed in its own directory rather than in Instream s directory. Large log files display faster Log files larger than 5 MB will display in Text View instead of HTML View. You can change this default under Settings Translation Tool Settings Other Settings Log File Size. This limit prevents long waits for display of large log files. Trailing delimiters fixed Problems have been fixed with delimiters in the output. Some segments created by arrays had missing delimiters or excess trailing delimiters. Deprecated Features No features have been deprecated in version 2.7.0. Translator Release 2.6.0 Change CreateLoopBy2DArray - Separator parameter ICDCodes rules are now: Convert, ConvertOne, InsertToArrayWithType Compare and CompareC - CaseSensitive parameter. Foresight Studio InsertARow new 2DArray rule You can use the new CreateLoopBy2DArray Separator parameter to specify the separator to be used in the output segment if the separators are all the same. This allows you to omit the separators when building the array. Please see CreateLoopBy2DArray in Translator.pdf. ICD rules require the Foresight ICD-10 Conversion Adapter. Please see ICD10_at_Foresight.pdf for details. By default, Compare and CompareC comparisons are case sensitive. You can prevent this with the CaseSensitive parameter. Please see Compare and CompareC in Translator.pdf. Translator 2.6.0 users can now download and use Foresight Studio, which lets you set up and run workflows, and create configuration files for Foresight products. You can now populate an entire row in an array with one rule. Please see InsertARow in Translator.pdf. Deprecated Features No features have been deprecated in version 2.6.0.
