Release Notes 1 Release Notes TIBCO API Exchange Manager 2.1.0 is the management component of TIBCO API Exchange. TIBCO API Exchange is an integrated solution for creating, hosting, and managing open APIs. It is designed to meet the security and web scale requirements of developers who are delivering open APIs to mobile devices and the business needs of companies that want to use open APIs to develop new revenue streams. Check the TIBCO Product Support web site at https://support.tibco.com for product information that was not available at release time. Entry to this site requires a username and password. 2 Release Notes Product Features This section lists new features of each release of TIBCO API Exchange Manager Release 2.1.0 TIBCO API Exchange release 2.1.0 has the following new features. Support for New Platforms TIBCO API Exchange Manager supports the following new platforms: Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 on x86-64 Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Support for TIBCO Spotfire 6.0 API Exchange Manager 2.1.0 supports TIBCO Spotfire 6.0. Self-Service Registration You can now access a self service registration page from the Getting Started page for the Management Portal. Ability for Users to Change Their Passwords By clicking on their user ID after logging into the Management Portal, users can access a password page that allows changing their password for the Management Portal. Threshold Quota Notification In the Management Portal, admin users can now specify a quota threshold percentage for applications and subscriptions and the quota usage can be processed by the API Exchange Gateway Central Logger. When the threshold quota is exceeded, an alert is generated and displayed on the Management Portal Organizations page and on the Dashboard tab, and an email is sent to the organization contact. Ability to Turn OAuth Scope Configuration Option On or Off The admin user can now turn OAuth authentication on or off. If OAuth authentication is turned off, the scope interface and Scopes tab are inactive. If OAuth authentication is turned on, they are active. Improvements to Management Portal UI Improvements and enhancements have been made to the Management Portal that is provided with the Adapter Code for TIBCO API Exchange and Joomla! component. For details on the new features in the UI, see the Release Notes for Adapter Code for TIBCO API Exchange and Joomla!, 2.1.0. Endpoint Changed for API Exchange Analytics To run API Analytics, a website called APIXAnalytics (Spotfire Webplayer) is provided to integrate the analytics with API Exchange.
Product Features 3 Release 2.0.0 TIBCO API Exchange Manager 2.0.0 provides the following features. API Management API Exchange Manager allows Application Programming Interface (API) providers to design, document, and manage the lifecycle of open APIs that can be exposed to developers inside or outside of their company. API providers can add APIs, and create products and plans. Partner administrators can create subscriptions that allow developers to subscribe to products for a specified period. Related Components API Exchange Manager operates with the following components: TIBCO API Exchange Gateway Provides an API gateway that controls communication between applications by providing security and access control, event-based policy management, and federated Internet scale. Policy definitions range from edge policies related to authentication, load balancing, throttling, and routing to last-mile policies for endpoint-specific mediation and security certificate management, message transformation. Adapter Code for TIBCO API Exchange and Joomla! An optional code package that enables the creation of Joomla!-based API management portals with TIBCO API Exchange to provide highly branded and customizable experiences to application developers and API providers. TIBCO Spotfire Analytics If you have purchased and installed TIBCO Spotfire Analytics, you can run analytics that allow you to understand API usage metrics and patterns. You can create custom reporting dashboards for monitoring SLAs and KPIs to measure and improve on the success of open API initiatives.
