Installation of Application on Device Connecting to your Wireless Network Go to Android Settings on the main screen. Select Wireless & Networks Wi-Fi settings. Select Wi-Fi to turn it on. A list of available networks is displayed under Wi-Fi Networks. Select a Wi-Fi network to connect to it. If the network is secured, you are prompted to type a password. Go back to the main screen The device must be connected to the same network as your pharmacy software for the application to function. Updating the Android OS Lenovo. User Guide, ThinkPad Tablet. Select Security Device Administration. Checkmark Unknown Sources for permission. This feature allows the Device to download applications outside of the Google Play Market. You can disable the feature for security purposes after MAY-i Check is downloaded. 5

Select the globe to access the internet browser. In the Web Address Field (#4) type in www.mayicorp.ca Go to Downloads or type in the Web Address Field www.mayicorp.ca/downloads Scroll down to MAY-i Check for Android and select The bottom of the page should say Starting Download Select the Download icon found beside the time. Select MayICheck_8-#.apk. It will prompt the question, Do you want to install this application? Select Install. Once installed, select Open. You will now be redirected to the application. Access MAY-i Check icon: Select found at the top right hand corner of the screen. You will now be redirected to your Applications. Locate MAY-i Check icon. 6

Optional Configurations Moving MAY-i Check to the Home Screen Select found at the top right hand corner of the screen. Locate MAY-i Check icon. Select and hold until it magnifies and becomes moveable. Do not lift your finger. Drag the item to a new location on the same Home Screen and release your finger. If you want to move the item to another Home Screen, hold and drag to the left or right outline of another Home Screen until the desired Home Screen opens, and then release your finger. Removing the Lock Screen Go to Android Settings on the main screen. Select Security Screen Lock. Select None. This will allow convenient access to the tablet and the application. Please note that removing the lock screen will remove the security feature. 7

WAMP Server What is the WAMP Server? The WAMP Server turns any Windows PC into a localized web server. It is the middleman between the application and your pharmacy software. Without it, information cannot be transferred between the two devices. Locating WAMP Server The WAMP Server can be located on the PC where the MAY-i Check Package was installed. It is usually located on your Pharmacy Software Server. It may also be installed on a Workstation. WAMP Server must be Online The WAMP server should automatically start and go online when your PC is rebooted or turned on. If the WAMP Server is online Theree will be a in the Desktop icon bar (right hand bottom corner). You may also hover over the icon it will indicate server online or offline. If the WAMP Server is offline Double click the icon on your Desktop to turn the WAMP Server on. If the WAMP Server still remains offline Right click the the Desktop icon bar and select Restart All Services. icon in For WINDOWS XP users: You will receive additional pop up messages when you Restart All Services. This is a bug in Windows XP and does not occur in Windows 7. Select OK at each prompt. 8

Setting up MAY-i Check on the Tablet Device Locating the Settings Menu Select the settings icon found at the bottom left hand corner of the device and select Settings. Submit the IP Address of the Workstation the application is installed on. Port Number = 81 Select Submit data. Select Login. Ensure that the Application has the correct IP Address and Port Number this allows the Tablet Application to connect to the Pharmacy Software. Please contact Technical Support if you do not know the IP Address. 9

Registering the Administrator Select Register new user The first user to register their personal information will be the Administrator. They will have access to the user management settings. Email and Password Purpose of an Email Address The registered email address is the Login Username. It is also used for resetting or restoring passwords. Each pharmacist must have their own Login Username. The registered user of MAY-i Check is independent of the pharmacy and may be used at multiple locations. For this reason, the user only needs to register once. When logging in for the first time at a given pharmacy, the administrator will need to grant that pharmacist access to the application. 10

Passwords The password must be between 6 12 characters and contain at least one letter and one number. No special characters are permitted. Complete the information and select Submit. You will now be prompted to register the pharmacy. Registering the Pharmacy Enter the appropriate information. Once the fields are completed, select Update. 11

Activating the License Once you have registered and log in to the application, you will receive a message stating that your subscription or license to MAY-i Check is expired or inactive. Please call the Sales Team @ 1-888-697-7772 for subscription or license activation. Registering Additional Users Repeat the same process for additional new users. They will not be prompted to update the Pharmacy information or activate the License. The Administrator must give permission to additional users to use the Application. Find out how in MAY-i Check Main Menu section. 12

MAY-i Check Main Menu This is the Administrator home screen. Other users will not have access to the User Management and Edit Pharmacy functions. Search Patients There are FOUR options in searching up a patient: First name only Last name only First name, last name (No spaces in between the comma) Last name, first name (No spaces in between the comma) You may narrow down the search to show patients with: Previous completed Meds Review applications only Incomplete Meds Review applications only 13

User Management You may edit Allow Access and Administrator privileges for the pharmacy. For future new pharmacists, the administrator will need to log in to the account to edit user management settings. You may grant administrative privileges to any pharmacist. Completed Reviews You may access all the Completed Reviews submitted through the Application. There are three ways to search a Completed Review: Start Date (Oldest date of a review you want to search e.g. Nov 01, 2012) and End Date (Newest date of a review you want to search e.g. Feb 28, 2013) Patient Name Or a combination of the above You may sort your results by Date, Name (A to Z), Completed By and Billed (Yes or No). You may access the completed review on the desktop version by clicking on, or on the tablet by clicking on the date. Incomplete Reviews 14

You may access all the Incomplete Reviews started in the Application. There are three ways to search an Incomplete Review: Start Date (Oldest date of a review you want to search e.g. Nov 01, 2012) and End Date (Newest date of a review you want to search e.g. Feb 28, 2013) Patient Name Or a combination of the above You may sort your results by Date or Name (A to Z). Appointment Calendar The appointment calendar will schedule an appointment based on the time selected during a review. The appointment will appear in grey. Any follow ups created during a review that were assigned a date will also appear on the calendar in green. By selecting either the grey or green entry, you will be directed to that particular review. 15

You may a copy of the calendar for your records if desired. You may select month, week, or day view. The print function is only available on the desktop version. Edit Pharmacy Enter the appropriate information. Once the fields are completed, select Update. Edit Profile You may edit your profile any time by selecting Edit profile. Once edited, select Update to save the new information. 16

Change Password You may change your password any time by selecting Change Password. Enter the new password and confirm the password. Once complete, select Save to save the new password. You will receive an email regarding your new credentials for MAY-i Check. 17

Starting a New Medication Review Go to the screen and select the patient you wish to access. Patient Profile You may verify the Patient s Address and Date of Birth at the top left hand corner of the profile page. The profile page will show: o Incomplete Reviews (reviews that were interrupted and not finished) o Completed Reviews Reviews are titled by the date and time they were completed/recently saved. It is recommended to start a new Review as it will have the most complete and updated information. Resuming an Incomplete Review may not be up to date with new patient information added after its last save. You may resume any Incomplete Review by selecting the desired review. You may start a new Review by selecting. You may delete an incomplete Review by selecting the icon on the right hand side of the row. 18

Patient Home Screen Certain information entered or edited in the Home Tab (e.g. address, phone numbers, email, etc.) will be synchronized with the Pharmacy Software. Select the Phone tab. To add a new phone number, select the icon on the right hand side of the row. To delete a row, select the icon on the ride hand side of the row. Enter the Description of the number (no spaces in between numbers), Extension and Phone Number. 19

If the Phone tab resembles the image above, the Pharmacy Software does not allow additional phone numbers. It is limited to Home, Business and Mobile number. Allergies Enter an allergy (with available allergy search option), its source and any additional comments. Select the icon on the right hand side of the screen to add a new row. To delete, select the icon on the right hand side of the row. 20

Conditions Enter a condition (with available condition search option), its source and any additional comments. Select the icon on the right hand side of the screen to add a new row. To delete, select the icon on the right hand side of the row. Any additions or deletions of Allergies and Conditions will be reflected in the Pharmacy Software. History Filled Prescriptions Any additions or deletions of Allergies and Conditions will be reflected in the Pharmacy Software. 21

Unfilled Prescriptions Any medications where No is selected will be inactivated in the patient s profile in the Pharmacy Software and will not be included in the list on subsequent reviews. This pertains to both filled and unfilled prescriptions. 22

Other Medications Other Prescription Medications Non Prescription Medications This tab shows other prescription medications and non prescription medications. You may add any medications the patient informs you that they are taking that you may not have on record in your Pharmacy Software. This information is not synced back to your pharmacy software; however, it will be pre-populated on subsequent reviews where it can be updated as needed. Select the icon on the right hand side of the screen to add a new row. To delete, select the icon on the right hand side of the row. 23

Follow Up If there are any issues that need to be identified, address it here. Enter a follow up date to ensure the patient is called back. Use the calendar icon to select the date. Follow up dates will be synchronized into the feature. Select the icon on the right hand side of the screen to add a new row. To delete, select the icon on the right hand side of the row. The information entered in the Pharmacists Notes column will not be displayed on the PDF copy that is given to the patient. 24

Signature Use the tablet touch screen pen or your finger to sign in the appropriate designated box on the tablet. A USB signature pad is recommended to sign on the desktop version. If the review was conducted with a patient s agent, enter their name in the field below the signature box and have the agent sign their name. Please stay within the designated box When the PDF file is generated and printed, the signature will be cut off if it is signed outside the box. 25

Accessing an Existing Medication Review Incomplete Medication Reviews If you would like to continue the Review later, select Incomplete Review. It will redirect you back to the patient profile. and it will be saved as an You may edit an Incomplete Review at any time: Retrieve and edit the Incomplete Review through patient s profile. It is titled by the last date it was accessed. in the Main Menu or access it in the Completed Medication Reviews Once all information has been completed select. The Review will now be saved and the information will be synchronized with the Pharmacy Software. You may retrieve and review the Completed Review through in the patient s profile. in the Main Menu or access it Accessing the PDF Document A PDF document will be created in the folder titled on your designated workstation. This folder should be located on the desktop. For help on accessing this folder from other workstations, please contact technical support. 26

Desktop Version Browser Based Application May-i Check can be accessed on any PC in the pharmacy as long as it is connected to the same network as the PC on which WAMP server is installed. WAMP Server must be online. The Application and its functions operate similar to the Android Device. Internet Browser The PC must have either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome installed to access MAY-i Check on a desktop.
