Midland BT Updater 1.0 After you downloaded the BT Updater setup application from the web site, double click on it and follow the installation procedure. The BTUpdater application is automatically installed under the Program menu (or Program file (x86) ), inside the Midland folder. Connect now the BT device to the PC using the USB cable provided in the box (same cable used on the wall charger to charge the unit). If your USB cable is the double version, be sure to connect only one BT unit at a time. Window will detect a new USB device and you will have two options: OPTION 1 - the New hardware installer Wizard come up, you need to follow the Wizard procedure. OPTION 2 - the device is recognized as Generic Bluetooth device (no Wizard window come up). To make the software work properly you need to update the USB driver following the procedure Manual installation of the USB driver. Attention: when you start the firmware update procedure for the first time, you will ask to repeat the USB driver update. Follow the same procedure explained above. Disconnect and reconnect the BTNext to the PC and open the BTnext Updater software, now you can use the software to manage the unit and update the firmware. 8
