This isolation is an important consideration if the systems to be connected use different ower sources, have noisy signals, or must operate at different ground potentials.

Page 4 of 5 5.0 Power The Model 282 has a built-in isolated DC-to-DC converter. Low voltage AC is supplied by a small wall-mounted transformer. This AC voltage is converted to DC voltage which is used to power the DCE side of the Model 282. The DC voltage is also applied to the isolated DCto-DC converter, which is also used to power the DTE side of the Model 282. Alternatively, the Model 282 can be ordered as the Model 282-48 which includes a _48 VDC Converter assembly with the Model 282 housings. The user simply connects the supplied cord to the _48 VDC supply. 6.0 Help If you require assistance, please call Telebyte Customer Service at (631) 423-3232, fax us at (631) 385-8184 or e-mail us at support@telebyteusa.com.
