VTAC 9 Drive with Bypass Option Electro-mechanical bypass control provides easy-to-read indication of motor operation. The complete unit is factory assembled and tested with drive to ensure proper operation. The complete assembly is UL 508C listed. The VTAC 9 is a microprocessor based Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) variable frequency AC drive. The VTAC 9 takes advantage of a highlevel microprocessor and robust power circuit to deliver trouble-free operation. Reliance Electric VTAC drives are dedicated to the needs of the HVAC industry. The icon-based drive keypad simplifies drive set-up, monitoring and operation. Main Features Ratings: 5-20 HP at 480V AC and 3-10 HP at 208V AC IGBT Switching: 4 khz carrier frequency standard adjustable up to 10 khz for quieter motor operation. Controlled IGBT rise time to minimize reflected waves and associated voltage spike on motor insulation systems. Harmonics Mitigation: Designed to comply with IEEE 519-1992 guidelines for harmonic distortion. DC bus inductor is included standard to minimize harmonic distortion (7.5 HP and larger at 480V AC; 5 HP and larger at 208V AC). Maximum Uptime: Intelligent Thermal Management (ITM ) system monitors drive heatsink temperature that can automatically change drive operating conditions to avoid drive shutdown during ambient over-temperature conditions when enabled. - Overcurrent rating of 110% for 60 seconds and 150% for 3 seconds - Full-digital PWM operation utilizing microprocessor control for increased reliability and temperature insensitivity - Up to 100,000 AIC ratings for connection to high capacity power line feeds - UL and NEC approved electronic motor overload protection Operator Interface: Detachable 5-line multi-language LCD keypad with icons for drive setup, control, fault indication, diagnostics and metering.
