To ensure proper use of this unit, please make sure to read the owner's manual carefully before operating and keep it for future reference. Safety Precautions To avoid the risk of damage to the unit do not expose it to rain or any type of moisture. There is no user serviceable parts inside the unit. Opening the unit up will void the warranty. Disk Laser: This unit uses a Class 1 laser to read the information on the CD or DVD's. Service should only be performed by qualified personnel. This unit has a normal operating temperature between -15 F (-26 C) and +140 F (60 C). Exposing the unit to temperatures outside of this range could damage the screen or the internal components. Special care must be taken when mounting the unit as this will affect the performance of the disk mechanism. Failure to do so will result in poor performance. For best performance, please keep the unit free of moisture or any dusty conditions. Installation Instructions Please refer to installation wiring diagram Installation of metal sleeve must be secure in order to avoid malfunctions. Double check all wiring connections before locking the radio into the mounting sleeve. Do not mount the unit where it may interfere with the operation of the vehicle. Installation Instructions -Yellow (Radio memory): Connect this lead to the constant 12V (+) post of the vehicle's battery. -Red: (ACC) switched 12V only when the ignition is turned on or in the accessory position. -Black: (Ground) Connect this lead to chassis ground on the vehicle. Make sure the connection is made to bare metal and is securely fastened -Blue: Power antenna /Amp remote turn on Speaker wire connections: This device is designed to be used with a 4 Ω Speakers. Using lower impedance speakers could cause your unit to overheat. Note: This unit is designed to work with non-chassis grounded speakers. Troubleshooting and Maintenance If you encounter a problem, please turn the power off, then on again.lf the unit is still not functioning normally, please review the items in the following checklist. This guide will help you isolate the problem if the unit is at fault. Otherwise, make sure the rest of your system is properly connected or consult your authorized Quantum Audio dealer 1. Head Unit Does Not Power on: Check Fuse box: Check for blown fuse, replace the fuse the same amperage rating. 2. Function buttons do not respond: If you are experiencing problems with the front panel buttons not responding,you can reset the unit by pressing the reset button found on the front panel, in general, This will reset the unit and solve the issue. 3. USB input not functioning: Make sure there is compatible data on the USB Flash drive. Not all information is not supported by the unit. 4. Low sound or unbalanced audio output: Check volume control or balance settings, or the fader make sure they are at the central position. 5. Poor Sound quality or distortion: Make sure to check for correct speaker wiring, Speaker wires conneced with the wrong polarity will cause poor performance, Profesional installation is recomended. 6. Radio reception is poor: Check the antenna wire connections, Inspect the antenna cable for damage. Replace the antenna if the cable is damaged.
