INTRODUCTION This Extension is generally used to search the right products very quickly. You can create multiple finders from admin side and show finders on frontend. You can also filter by category and other attributes on search result collection. Our extension is easy to setup and give many options for settings from admin. FEATURES Enabled /Disabled the finder from admin. Enabled /Disabled finder on Category Page. Select dropdowns positions from admin (Horizontal/Vertical). Show multiple finders on same page. Set finder in categories from backend. SEO friendly URLs for search result page. Display lists of products with Layered Navigation and toolbar Show universal products which will be displayed in search result of every finder search result. Option for set titles of custom finder page. You can display finder in any page using Template tag code, XML Code and call via frontend template file. Easy for create finder products manually and also import export finder products. Option for start search after last dropdown is selected and also searches on search button. CONFIGURATION SETTINGS Go to Admin System Configuration MAGEBEES YMM Products Parts Finder. OR Go to Admin MageBees YMM Products Parts Finder Finder Configuration. You will get following screen. Enable Product Finder: You can able to enable or disable this module from choosing Yes/No. Start search when last drop down value is selected: If you choose Yes then after select last drop down search starts automatically otherwise for search you have to click on search button. Use universal products in search: Show universal products which selected or imported from admin will be displayed finder search result. Display products by: This option decides in which sort order you want to display search result products. Search Products, Universal Products or by Default Sort Order. Text for Find Button: You can set the custom text for find button. 4
Text for Reset Button: You can set the custom text for reset button. Title for Finder Page: You can set the title of the search result page of finder. Enable Product Finder for Category page: You can able to enable or disable finder on Category Listing page. Include JQuery: Select if yes or no for include jquery library. 5
MANAGE FINDERS Manage Finder Section: Step-1 Go to Admin Section MageBees YMM Products Parts Finder. Step-2 Click on Manage Finder. You will get Following Screen. Step-3 Click on Add New Finder button from Right side. You will get following screen. General Tab Title: You can able to specify title of finders which is display on finders dropdowns in frontend. Status: You can able to Enabled/Disabled finder. 6
Number of Dropdowns: Set number of drop downs which you want to use. Drop Down Style: You can choose drop down display style like horizontal or Vertical. Columns: You can choose no of columns if drop down style is horizontal. Once you have specified the all option, please click on Save And Continue Edit Or Save Finder button. After save the other tabs will be display. Please check bellow screen shot. DropDowns Tab At the Dropdowns tab you can specify title for each of the finder dropdown options and choose sorting for it. For example Gender, Type, Brand and select its sorting order like ascending or descending Click on Save and Continue Edit button. After that you can able to see button for Add YMM products, Products and Import CSV tabs. 7
Category List Tab Select categories for display finders on category page. You can assign one finder in multiple categories. 8
Products Tab Your finder product list will be display with all options. Like Gender, Type, Brand. You can edit or delete the finder product from this tab grid. You can delete the mass product from the product grid. 9
Manually Create Finder Products: Click on Add New Record button. You will get following screen. Add YMM values in textboxes. In above example Gender: Female, Type: Bottom, Brand: Levis added in textboxes. Now click on product chooser and select product as per your finder value. Now click on the Save Product button. After save the product, all products will be display on Products tab grid. 10
Import Finder Products Using Csv file: Please upload your created csv file and click on import button. Your products will be display on products tab grid. If you want to delete the all existing data and import the new products then please select Yes in Do You Want To Delete Existing Data? dropdown. Upload created new products csv file and click on import button. You have to follow below format for import finder product. SKU,Gender,Type,Brand acj005 wbk012c,female,top,lee Cooper wbk003c wbk006c wbk009c,female,top,pepe Jeans For same YMM values join skus with as per above format. Do not set empty value in csv for any ymm option. You can import bulk of products using csv file. 11
How to use Universal Products: The use of or need of assigning universal products is if there are some products which should be display in every then for each finder you can choose or import universal products. These products will be displayed in search results for every search query for specific finder. Manually Choose Universal Products: You can choose product sku from chooser which you want to assign as a universal product for this finder. Import Universal Products: Please upload your created csv file and click on import button. Your products will be display on Universal Products Tab. If you want to delete the all existing data and import the new products then please select Yes in Do You Want To Delete Existing Data? dropdown. Upload created new products csv file and click on import button. You have to specify only products skus with comma separated in csv like acj005,wbk012c,wbk003c 12
Let s see one by one how this auto generated code work: Template Tag: If you want to put product finder in any CMS page at that time you can use this code. Once you put this finder it will show under that particular CMS Page. By putting template tag code in Home CMS Page of my e-commerce Magento Store. So go to you backend click on CMS Pages and select any of CMS Page and put product finder auto generated template tag code in it. XML Code: Suppose you want to use XML Tag auto generated code of product finder extension copy XML Tag auto generated code and put it in your Theme XML layout Files [skin/frontend/<your package>/<your theme>/layout/]. Suppose for example we are putting XML Tag Block code in Page.xml file, so open your theme page.xml file and put following code under content area. Open Page.xml file and put code in content area something like this 13
Once you set code in your XML layout file just need to refresh your front-end. Call via Frontend Template File: If you want to set product finder in your template file [.phtml] you need to just paste this auto generated code at any part of your template files. Suppose we want to put finder code in main section we need to copy code call via fronted template file code and put in our theme 1column.phtml template file Once you set this code just need to refresh your front end and see the product finder. 14
HOW FINDER WORKS ON FRONTEND? Finder on Home Page: Select your required options from dropdowns. 15
Click on find button or there is an option enable on choosing last dropdown value it will redirect to Finder page then it will display finder result page as following. Finder Search Result Page: You can filter result products by category or other attributes. From layered navigation like category listing page. 16
FAQs Q-1:- I have installed Product Finder Extension. But When I click on YMM Products Parts Finder tab in the config page will get a 404. :(. After installing Product Finder Extension. Please Logout from admin account and Re-login and Refresh Cache. Q-2:- Finder not display on category page. Please check product finder category and its products category. If product category and finder category are not same then finder will be not display on category page. Q-3:- I have installed Product Finder Extension. But When I click on Manage Finder tab then will get database table error. Go to Your store database. Then Please check Product Finder database table exits or not. Table name: 1) cws _finder 2) cws _dropdowns 3) cws_finder_ymm_value 4) cws_finder_map_value 5) cws_finder_universal_products If you not found above database table then please follow below step. Click on core_resource table and found finder_setup entry. Please remove finder_setup entry then please reinstall product finder extension. Q-4:- I applied the 6788 patch on my magento setup; a finder block doesn t show up on home page or any cms page. Go to admin -> System -> Permissions -> Block Click on Add New Block and fill details as follow: Block Name : finder/finder Is Allowed: yes Now product finder block has permission to display. 17
