OUTDOOR FTTH CABINETS Basic information MSPzXEC Distribution cabinets MSPzXEC series are manufactured based on casings made of reinforced polyester with extreme resistance to weather conditions. The cabinets are fitted with a foundation plinth for direct installation into the ground. The casings comply with the following requirements: general product safety (CE Directive), protection rating IP54, mechanical resistance IK-10 fire resistance UL94-V0 RoHS (2002/95/CE Directive) The cabinets are supplied with a 3-point lock with handle, enabling installation of camlock or padlock. MSPzXEC series cabinets may be used for PON FTTH networks as splicing box or optical distribution frames. The cabinets were supplied with solutions allowing installation of large number of tubes and micro-ducts, as well as easy installation of optical cables/ fibers traditionally pulled or pneumatically jetted. The service functionality is ensured by removable plinth front lids and inclusion of inner compartments. Each type of cabinet is fitted with tilting KSP12 or KSP24 splice trays module. Due to snap hinges, the splice trays may be subsequently installed, removed or tilted according to service needs. The cabinets were designed alternatively for two types of splitters: splitters with connectors in reinforced black box casings intended for installation in pockets; miniature splitters, for splicing (without connectors) or equipped with connectors, intended for installation in adapted splice trays KSP12/SPL. An effective method of passive microclimate stabilization inside the casings has been developed, by filling the plinth with a porous form earthen gravel. Our offer includes two basic sizes of the fiber optics distribution cabinets of standard or reduced height: MSPz5.XEC dimensions (with plinth) WxHxD, mm: 264x1527(1283)x245 MSPz6.XEC dimensions (with plinth) WxHxD, mm: 396x1727(1483)x245 Application range MSPzXEC series IP54 cabinets are designed for typical outdoor application, category G according to IEC 61753-1 (uncontrolled external conditions, temperature range from -40ºC to +75ºC). OUTDOOR DISTRIBUTIONS FRAMES INSTALLATION AND OPERATION RULES Taking into consideration the optic fiber susceptibility to water corrosion (OH) moisture condensation inside the passive outdoor cabinets may lead to increased failure frequency and limited lifespan of the dispersed FTTH optic fiber networks. As a result of comparative fieldwork studies on the moisture condensation inside the cabinets an effective method of microclimate stabilization inside the casings has been developed by filling the plinth with porous earthen gravel according to enclosed drawing. An additional recommended preventive treatment is optional application of bentonite-based moisture absorbers (e.g. Dry-Pack or Hydro-Pack), porous silica-based absorbers (Silica-Gel) or chemical metylan-based moisture absorbers (Henkel). The required amounts and replacement intervals are specified by manufacturers, depending on the volume of a boxes. 5
