It is ften helpful t develp reprts fr desktp first t see hw all f the child grids interact and t gather field names. Custm Reprts that have been created fr the desktp versin f Lucity will NOT wrk in the Web applicatin as is. Desktp reprts must be cnverted fr Web use. Cnverting Desktp Reprts fr use in Lucity Web 1. Make a cpy f the reprt and add Web t the end f the reprt name. (Optinal, yet helpful) Example: Desktp reprt WOSumAssetByCat.rpt wuld be cpied and renamed fr the Web WOSumAssetByCatWeb.rpt. 2. The Web reprt wuld then be cnverted as fllws. 3. Open the reprt in Crystal Reprts. 4. G t Database>>Set Datasurce Lcatin. 5. Within the lwer bx (Replace with: ) pen Create New Cnnectin. 6. Select OLE DB (ADO) 3

7. Yu will then be prmpted t select a prvider. If yu are using SQL Server use the Micrsft OLE DB Prvider fr SQL Server. Fr Oracle use Micrsft OLE DB Prvider fr Oracle. 8. Next, enter the Cnnectin infrmatin. Fr SQL Server, include the SQL Server Name, User ID, Passwrd, and Database. Yur Lucity Administratr shuld be able t prvide this infrmatin. The Database is specific t the reprt database that it was created with such as GBAWrk r GBAEquip. Nte: Fr 2015r2 pst data unificatin it will be ne database. The name will be whatever yu have assigned the database (Default is Lucity). 4

Fr Oracle, include the Service, User ID, and Passwrd. 9. Once yu create a cnnectin yu will need t individually (manually) map EVERY TABLE frm the reprt ne at a time. 5

10. T d this, click n a table in the tp bx (Current Data Surce) and the same table in the bttm bx (Replace with) and then click n Update. D this fr each table, even the nes listed under Subreprts. Nte: Prperties is nt a table t be updated. 11. After the reprt is cnverted fr Web use it will need t be added t the apprpriate reprt flder. Standard Reprt t a Custm Reprt T develp a Custm Reprt it is ften helpful t use a standard Lucity reprt t start frm as ppsed t starting frm scratch. If yur agency uses the Web versin f Lucity exclusively then using a standard reprt pinted crrectly fr Web use is likely preferred. Depending n the Lucity versin being used, there may be ptins fr getting a cpy f a Web reprt. The reprt.rpt file can be cpied frm the standard reprts flder and cpied directly t a reprt flder utside f the Lucity envirnment and given a new name. (Limited t persnnel that have rights t the Web Standard Reprts flder.) Lucity ffers a Dwnlad feature where a cpy f the reprt can be placed n yur system. There is als a way t Exprt the reprt hlding the cnnectins t yur data similar t the Desktp Exprt feature. 6

Dwnlading Dwnlading a reprt grabs a cpy f the reprt that can be used t create a custm reprt frm. This reprt has the crrect OLE cnnectins fr Web use but it cannt be run utside f the Lucity envirnment withut manually repinting the tables t yur data. 1. In the Reprt Dialg click n the reprt t be cpied. 2. Once the reprt is highlighted, click n the Dwnlad buttn. 3. Fr IE under the Save ptins select Save as then brwse t the lcatin and give the file a new name. Fr Firefx Open with Crystal Reprts then OK. Select File > Save As and brwse t the lcatin and give the file a new name. Exprting a Web Reprt Exprting a reprt captures the cnnectins t yur data. This allws the reprt develper t wrk n the In the Reprt Dialg click n the reprt t be Exprted. In ur Example 1. In the Request mdule highlight ne recrd. 2. In the Reprt Dialg click n the reprt t be Exprted. (Requests per Address Reprt) 3. Run the reprt with Selected Recrds and the Advanced View (HTML) ptins. 4. Once the reprt has run, select the Exprt this reprt ptin in the tp tl bar. 7

5. This pens the fllwing Dialg. Click Exprt. 6. The referenced reprt name in this example is lucitymscrv.rpt and is nt the actual file name, ignre this. Depending n the Brwser being used yu will get a dialg. Internet Explrer shuld lk similar t this: Firefx shuld lk similar t this: 7. Select the Open ptin. Click thrugh any cmments such as Invalid Printer r Crystal Reprts versin. 8. In the tl bar select File, UNCHECK the Save Data with Reprt ptin. 9. Open the Select Expert and remve the frmula fr the ID field that was placed in here because the reprt was run with Selected Recrds. 10. In the tp tl bar select File > Save as 11. Brwse t the lcatin fr this new custm reprt (client specific in training we will use CustmLucityWebReprts) and give it a new file name (LC_ReqPerAddyWeb.rpt) Yu nw have a cpy f the reprt with a new name and pinted t yur data. The User ID and Passwrd fr yur database are required t run the reprt away frm the Lucity envirnment. 8

Adding Custm Web Reprts (Prir t V2015) The cnverted reprt then needs t be added t a reprt flder, typically fund at intpub\wwwrt\lucityweb\reprts. Drp the reprt in the crrect flder such as Wrk r Equip. Depending n yur system and number f custm reprts, yu may have a separate Custm Reprts flder and within this there may be flders fr the type f reprts such as Wrk r Sewer. Then the reprt will need t be added t the list f available reprts in the mdule the reprt is t be run frm. There are tw different methds fr adding reprts in the web. Methd 1 - Thrugh the Lucity Administratin Tl 1. Launch the Lucity Administratin Tl and g t Reprts > Reprt Manager. 2. Use the drp dwns at the tp f the tl t navigate t the mdule that the reprt is meant fr. 3. Click the New Reprt buttn at the bttm f the Reprt Manager dialg. 4. The fllwing windw will appear: 9

5. Enter the Reprt Name. 6. Enter the Reprt File Path. This shuld always start with Reprts\ and then the rest f the path t the reprt including the.rpt file extensin. 7. Enter the Reprt Descriptin. 8. Click Save. The new reprt will be added t the Reprt Manager. Methd 2 - Thrugh Lucity Web 1. Open the Web mdule that the reprt will be run frm. 2. Open the Reprts Tl. 3. T launch the Reprts tl, click the n the tlbar. The fllwing windw will appear: 4. T add a new reprt, click the Add buttn. The fllwing dialg will appear: 10

5. Enter a Reprt Name, Reprt Descriptin, and the Reprt Filename (starting with Reprts\) then the flder name where the reprt is lcated fllwed by a backslash (Wrk\) then the name f the actual.rpt file. Remember t add the.rpt prtin n at the end f the reprt filename. 6. Chse the type f reprt this will be: 7. Click Save. Standard Reprt - The reprt will be run by clicking the reprt tl, selecting the reprt and hw t run it, and running it. Quick Reprt - All Recrds - Adds the reprt t the quick reprt drpdwn list next t the reprt tl. The reprt will always be run against all recrds. Quick Reprt - Filtered Set - Adds the reprt t the quick reprt drpdwn list next t the reprt tl. The reprt will always be run against the current filter set. Quick Reprt - Current Recrd Only - Adds the reprt t the quick reprt drpdwn list next t the reprt tl. The reprt will always be run against the current recrd. Adding Custm Web Reprts (V2015 and Beynd fr nw) The Lucity sftware is mving the web design t be used as Sftware As A Service (SAAS). T accmmdate this directin, the Custm Web reprts are handled in a different way. There are tw lcatins that Lucity will nw use t manage custm reprts. One is a new flder that can be seen in inetpub > wwwrt > LucityWeb that is called ReprtsCustm. The client shuld NEVER be in this flder. The ther is a new lcatin that the client sets up. (Reprt Share) Once this is set up and the existing reprts mved int this new flder then this flder shuld nt be directly used by the client unless cpying a reprt t be mdified. Indirectly, the new custm reprts will be upladed t this lcatin. 11

Understanding the Prcess Hw Lucity Manages Custm Reprts Lucity makes it easy fr an agency t manage its custm reprts by managing the file lcatins fr them and prviding an easy user interface fr uplading reprt files. T make this prcess wrk there are several cmpnents n the back end. The fllwing table describes thse cmpnents and the diagrams shw hw they wrk tgether t cmplete a prcess. Cmpnents Lucity Web Reprts Tl Dcument Server A tl that enables Lucity Web users t add, update and run Lucity reprts. A Lucity Web Server applicatin that enables users t mve files (including reprts) arund using Lucity Web. Reprt Share /Reprts Flder /ReprtsCustm Flder The flder that stres a user-accessible cpy f each custm reprt's.rpt file. The path is set in the Lucity Administratin Tl > System > Settings > Dcuments > Path where reprts are stred setting. Lucity Web des nt run reprts frm this lcatin. Users can cpy reprts ut f this flder t mdify them. The reprts in this flder are cpied t the /ReprtsCustm flder daily. The flder that stres a Lucity Web-accessible cpy f each standard reprt's.rpt file. Lucity Web runs all f Lucity's built-in, standard reprts frm this lcatin. Histrically, custm reprts were added t this flder and they were mixed in with standard Lucity reprts. Users can cpy reprts ut f this flder t make custm reprts. The reprts in this flder shuld nt be mdified. The flder that stres a Lucity Web-accessible cpy f each custm reprt's.rpt file. Lucity Web runs all custm reprts frm this lcatin. The reprts in this flder shuld nt be mdified. The reprts in this flder are verwritten with cpies frm the Reprt Share flder. 12

Prcesses These are the prcesses that ccur in the backgrund when users are wrking with Lucity Web and custm reprts. Nte: Give this prcess a minute t cmplete befre attempting t run the new reprt frm Lucity. 13

Best Practice fr Making the Change The custm web reprts need t be mved t their new lcatin and the path reestablished. If there are prblems with mapping t the new lcatin then remve and add them int the system as if they were new reprts. The Dcument Server must be setup fr the reprt prcess t wrk as designed. Reprt Setup 1. If the client desn t currently have a lcatin utside f Lucity t stre and wrk n custm reprts then this shuld be established first. It might be a gd idea t have ne shared file fr all custm reprts fr yur cmpany. This is separate frm Lucity! All existing custm reprts currently in wwwrt\lucityweb\reprts shuld be placed in this new flder r subflders in this lcatin. Example flder name: CmpanyCustmWebReprts. 2. A secnd lcatin needs t be established which Lucity will use. This needs t be a flder that the WebServer (IIS) can get t. Ideally, this wuld nt be n the web server. That means it will be n a netwrk share. Smething like \\<Servername>\Shared\CustmWebReprts. Example: \\ClientServ-01\WaterGrup\CustmWebRpts15 Where \\ClientServ-01 references the server, WaterGrup the Shared lcatin and CustmWebRpts15 the flder name fr the custm web reprts. 3. This path then needs t be entered in: Lucity Administratin Tls > System > Settings > Dcuments tab > Path where Reprts are stred. Enter the new path fr the Custm Web reprts. (Example: \\ClientServ-01\WaterGrup\CustmWebRpts15 ) Save 14

4. Clear Caches Lucity Administratin Tls > System > Clear All Site Caches > Clear All Caches buttn. 5. An agency may wish t create a directry structure in this lcatin t separate reprts by system; hwever, this is ptinal: \\<Servername>\Shared\CustmWebReprts\Wrk\ <reprts fr the wrk prgram g here> \\<Servername>\Shared\CustmWebReprts\Sewer\ <reprts fr the sewer prgram g here> 6. Once the custm reprt path has been established and the custm reprts are in the new lcatin then try using the Update feature and brwse ut t the new lcatin. If there are any prblems with reestablishing the reprt s path then remve the reprt and add as new. Hw T Add New Custm Reprts r Ging frward, when adding new custm reprts, uplad the reprt using Lucity Web. The system will place the reprt in the reprt-share autmatically. 1. In Lucity Web, pen the mdule yu wuld like t add the reprt t. 2. Click the Reprts buttn n the tlbar. The Reprt tl pens. 3. T add a new reprt, click the Add buttn. The fllwing dialg appears: V2015 15

V2015r2 V2016 4. Enter the Reprt Name and Reprt Descriptin. 5. In the Reprt File Path, enter the name f the subflder t which yu want t uplad the reprt file (ex. Wrk, Sewer) r leave blank. Nte: Reprts are autmatically upladed t the lcatin specified in the Lucity Administratin Tl's Path where Reprts are stred setting, which may be fund in the System > Settings > Dcuments tab. Nte: If the flder name entered des nt exist, the system will create a flder with that name within the flder t which the reprts are upladed. 16

6. Under Chse File t Uplad, click the Brwse buttn and select the.rpt file yu wuld like t uplad t the web server. The reprt wuld ideally be lcated in the flder established in Step 1 at the tp f this dcument (CmpanyCustmWebReprts) r a subflder within; hwever, it can be brught in frm any lcatin. This will put the reprt int the lcatin created fr Custm Web reprts that was designated in the System Settings Reprt File Path. Nte: The name f the.rpt file being upladed cannt match any ther.rpt files. 7. Assign the reprt t a Grup (ptinal). 8. Chse r change the Type f reprt (V2015): Standard Reprt - The reprt is generated when the user clicks the Reprt tl, selects the reprt and chses hw t run it. Quick Reprt - All Recrds - Adds the reprt t the Quick Reprt drp-dwn list, lcated next t the Reprt tl. The reprt always runs against all recrds. Quick Reprt - Filtered Set - Adds the reprt t the Quick Reprt drp-dwn list, lcated next t the Reprt tl. The reprt always runs against the current filter set. Quick Reprt - Current Recrd Only - Adds the reprt t the Quick Reprt drp-dwn list, lcated next t the Reprt tl. The reprt always runs against the current recrd. Fr V2015r2 these ptins are available in the Edit mde. Fr V2016 the Quick Reprt ptin may be added thrugh the Quick Reprt drp dwn arrw 17

Or thrugh the Reprt tl where the reprts are listed. Click n the reprt t be setup as Quick then select Add Quick Reprt. The Create Quick Reprt dialg will pen where the varius reprting ptins can be setup. 9. Click Save. Editing Reprts r Editing allws changes in the Reprt Name, Descriptin r Gruping. Updating Custm Reprts r When existing Custm reprts need t be revised, this shuld be dne utside f the Lucity system. The revised reprts culd be wrked n r laded int the lcatin established fr yur cmpany, mentined in step 1 (Example: CmpanyCustmWebReprts). 1. Open Lucity Web and g t the mdule assciated with the reprt. 2. Click the Reprts buttn n the tlbar. The Reprt tl pens. 3. Select the reprt t update frm the list and click the Update Reprt File buttn. Nte: The file name has t be identical t the file being replaced. 4. Click the Brwse buttn and select yur updated.rpt file frm the lcatin f the revised reprt (Example: CmpanyCustmWebReprts). 5. Click Update r Save depending n the versin. 18

6. The new cpy f the reprt will be upladed and will replace the existing reprt file in the Lucity system (the lcatin established in the System Settings Reprt Path). 7. Wait a minute befre trying t run the updated versin f the reprt. This allws the system t cycle and use the revised reprt. Nte: The reprts that Lucity prvides with the sftware (standard reprts) cannt be updated. Deleting the Reprt r Fr versin 2015 sp0, if the User s Reprt Security isn t set up prperly, a user can delete the entire reprt file. This caused prblems with several clients s this was changed. In 2015 sp1 the Delete ptin queries if the user wuld like t delete the reprt. If yu select Yes, the reprt is remved frm the dialg but the reprt remains ut in the Custm Reprt flder as an rphan. The IT administratr can retrieve it if necessary r delete it. V2016 has tw ptins in the Delete prcess. First yu can delete the path t the reprt. The secnd allws the remval f the actual reprt. 19

Web Brwser Officially Lucity Web supprts IE (Internet Explrer) fr versins prir t 2017. Firefx will wrk hwever sme things d nt run well. Chrme has drpped supprt f Silverlight s cannt be used fr versins prir t 2017. Versin 2017 runs with IE, Chrme and Firefx brwsers. Fr Chrme and Firefx everything except web map and edit resurce dialg will wrk. *IMPORTANT KNOWN ISSUE* The IE brwser is an issue if a reprt has been added r updated in the Lucity Reprt dialg and then the reprt needs mdificatins. If Lucity Web remains pen and the reprt is pened and mdified, the changes will nt save. When Lucity Web is clsed, this actin will DELETE the file frm the riginal lcatin f the reprt. There are 3 ptins fr wrking arund this. Clse all instances f IE after uplading a Crystal Reprt. Use anther brwser t uplad a Crystal Reprt. 2015-2016r2 - Use Firefx 2017+ - Use Chrme r Firefx If the previus tw slutins are nt pssible yu can use the fllwing prcess t mdify and replace the upladed file. Make a cpy f the.rpt file yu added r upladed previusly. Delete the riginal.rpt file. Rename the cpy f the.rpt file t have the same name as the file yu just deleted. Make the changes t the cpy f the.rpt file that yu just renamed. Uplad the file yu just mdified. 20

Page Limit V2015 and Older When reprts are run in the Web with the PDF view the page limitatin is ten. In rder t increase the web page limit yu will need t add a new line statement t the appsettings.cnfig file. This is lcated n yur Web Server in the C:\inetpub\wwwrt\LucityWeb\Cnfig\appsettings.cnfig flder: Open the file with Ntepad and paste the fllwing line between the <appsettings> and </appsettings>: <add key="maxpdfpages" value="10" /> Adjust the 10 t the ttal number f pages yu want the reprt(s) t accunt fr. Nte: the larger the number the lnger it will take t generate. The file when cmplete shuld lk similar t this: <appsettings> <add key="maxpdfpages" value="50" /> </appsettings> This may require an IIS reset t take the changes. V2015r2 PDF (Basic View) page number can be mdified in Lucity Administratin > System > Settings > Web Perfrmance tab > Max # f Pages n PDF Crystal Reprts (t reduce perfrmance impact n server). V2016 uses the new reprt term Basic View. 21

Web Reprt Gruping V2014R2 1. In Lucity Administratin Tls g int Reprts > Reprt Manager a. Select Prgram b. Select Mdule c. Select Mdule Cmpnent 2. Click n Reprt Grups The Reprt Grup Manager windw will shw. Select Add t add a grup. Type in a Grup Name - Save Select Edit t edit an existing grup. Type in a revised Grup Name - Save Select Delete t delete an existing grup. 3. Clse the Reprt Grup Manager windw. 4. In the Reprt Manager select a reprt t include in a grup. 5. Click Edit 6. In the Update Reprt windw there is an ptin fr Reprt Grup (ptinal) with a drp dwn arrw. Select the grup the reprt is t be assciated with. 7. Save The Grup Name shuld nw shw in the Reprt Grup clumn fr the selected reprt. 8. Repeat frm step 4 fr all reprts t be assciated with the grup. 9. When the Web mdule s reprt list is pened, the tp left crner nw has a drp dwn bx fr Reprt Grup. When the grup is selected, nly the reprts assigned t the grup will shw. If the newly added grup des nt shw in the list then clse Lucity and g int Lucity Administratin Tls > System > Manage Web Site Caches Scrll t the bttm and click Clear all Caches. Clse Repen the Web mdule s reprt list and the Reprt grup shuld nw be present in the Reprt Grup drp dwn bx. 22

V2016 (and newer) Grups are established frm the Reprt tl listing the reprts fr the mdule. Selecting Manage Reprt Grups pens the fllwing dialg: Grups may be Added, Edited r Deleted frm here. Once the Grup(s) has been established then Reprts may be assigned t the Grup. This may be dne when adding the reprt t the list r added t an existing reprt in Edit mde. The grups are available in the Optinal Reprt Grup drpdwn. 23

Parameters Parameters are special Crystal fields that query the user fr infrmatin t be used in the reprt befre the reprt will run. Example Prir t V2015r2, reprts used as Dashbard reprts shuld avid the use f parameters. Otherwise the reprt will shw as a link t run the reprt as ppsed t seeing the reprt. Web reprts allw the use f parameters but may have sme limitatins depending n the versin f Lucity and Crystal being used. Cmmn parameters used in Lucity reprts include subtitles and date queries. The subtitle parameter is set up as ptinal (nt used in recrd selectin) thus it can be remved by clicking n the Parameter field Delete. in the reprt and selecting The reprt n lnger uses the parameter field, but the parameter exists in Field Explrer. The unused parameter still queries but then the parameters are nt used in the reprt. This can be very cnfusing fr anyne running the reprt. If there is an unused parameter in a subreprt, the reprt may errr! T permanently remve the parameter field in Field Explrer: Right click n the specific parameter field and select Delete OR Click the parameter field and press the delete key. Parameter fields are recgnizable by the? at the beginning f the field: 24

Date Selectin T use parameters in selecting a range f dates in Recrd selectin use the fllwing frmat. Instead f {@RecDt} in[{?start Date} t {?End Date}] {?Start Date}<={@RecDt} and {@RecDt}<={?End Date} Editable Parameter Prir t V2015 a parameter that was set up t allw multiple values nly accepted a single value when the reprt was run in the Web. If the reprt was develped in Crystal XI r earlier, the reprt did nt allw multiple values t be selected. If the reprt was created in Crystal 2008 r later it was pssible t query again nce the reprt had been run in the HTML view (Advanced view) t allw multiple values. This is set-up within the Parameter field. The Value Optin is Shw n (Viewer) Panel. The setting ptins are Editable, D nt shw and Read Only. When this setting is Editable and the Web reprt pened with the HTML view (Advanced view), the Parameter buttn will be active fr use t mdify the Parameter selectin. T use this ptin, cmplete the fllwing steps: 1. Click n Parameters t pen a panel t the left f the reprt. 25

2. The actual parameter screen can be pened t either select a new value r multiple values (if the parameter was set up t allw multiples) by clicking n the Parameter value and then clicking the Edit parameter value buttn. 3. After the new selectin values have been set up, click n OK. 4. At the tp f the Parameter clumn select Apply. Nte: If parameters are set up in a subreprt, they shuld nt have the same name as parameters in the main reprt. 26

Dynamic Parameters Starting in V2015, the Dynamic Parameter pick list was available when running the reprt in Lucity Web. The way t achieve this is by naming the parameter the same as the field name. 1. Fr example, if the Wrk Categry field was t be set up as a dynamic pick list, the Name wuld be entered as WKORDER.WO_CAT_TY. The Prmpt Text usually defaults t the Name field (Enter WKORDER.WO_CAT_TY) s this wuld likely be mdified t Enter Categry. 2. List f Values shuld be set t Dynamic. 3. The actual field shuld be selected fr the Value. This allws all data within this field t shw in the pick list. 4. Within the Value Optins set the Shw n (Viewer) Panel t Editable. 5. It is als necessary t set the ptin fr Allw multiple values t True. Nte: If a field is used in multiple Frms tracking different data then all data will shw in the picklist. This can be limited by setting up a Cmmand (Advanced 2) r by changing the parameter t a Static picklist. 27

Signature Reprts As f versin 2017R2 the mbile applicatin allws signatures t be added t recrds. Signature Types are set up in the Lucity Web Signature Cnfiguratin mdule fund in System Cnfiguratin. These signatures may then be added t Web frms. When the signature is captured in the field it is stred in a separate table, LSIGNATURE. The best way t add the signature t a reprt is with a subreprt. Multiple Signature Types may be used n a Frm; hwever the Type may nly be used nce n the Frm. If multiple Types have been used n the Frm then the reprt will need t reference the crrect Type f signature. In this example, a Signature Type was set up called Requestr. The subreprt s Select Expert nw lks like this: The actual signature is lcated in the SG_SIGNATURE field. Once it has been added t the reprt the size f the field will likely need mdifying. This will require sme experimentatin. Start by using the Frmat Graphic ptin and scaling the Width and Height t 25%. Adjust frm there. T clse up the empty space fr recrds with n signatures, use the fllwing setup. In the Frmat Subreprt ptin, make sure the Suppress Blank Subreprt is checked. In the Main reprt s Sectin Expert, click n the sectin where the Signature supreprt is lcated and select Suppress Blank Sectin. 29

Barcde Reprts Crystal XI (Desktp r Web) Reprts develped with Crystal XI r befre culd shw barcdes but it required the fnt 39 sftware t be present n the machine the reprt was run frm. The field in the reprt als needed t be placed in a frmula fr the fnt sftware t create the barcde. Example: "*"+uppercase({ptlocation.pl_number})+"*" Because Lucity Desktp uses Crystal XI t generate reprts, this is the nly ptin fr develping and running barcde reprts in desktp. Crystal 2008 (Web nly) Reprts develped with Crystal 2008 r newer have a barcde ptin t apply t individual fields. Lucity Web uses Crystal 2008 t run Crystal reprts s this feature may be used. Fr the field t shw as a barcde, bring the field int the reprt and right click. The fllwing ptins shw: Select Change T Barcde 30

Reprt Design view Reprt View Terminlgy 1) Prir t V2015r2 the Web reprt viewing ptins were PDF and HTML. Bth reprt views query fr any parameters in the reprt. a) The PDF view shws the reprt with a scrlling frmat 10 page limit (unless mdified). b) The HTML view shws the reprt as paged with a Parameter tab at the tp. If the reprt is set up with editable parameters, this tab wuld pen the parameters t be mdified and applied fr the reprt t run again with the new parameters. The HTML view is als available t exprt. 2) Fr V2015r2 sp0 the web viewing ptins remain the same. The Dashbard reprts have changed the viewing ptins t Reprt (ld PDF - with 20 page limit unless mdified in Settings) and Paged Reprt (ld HTML). 3) Fr V2015r2 sp1 the viewing ptins changed fr bth Web and Dashbard. Basic View (ld PDF) and Advanced View (ld HTML). 32

Dashbard Reprts V2015 and Older Dashbard reprts prir t V2015r2 were set up in Lucity Administratin Tls. T add a standard Dashbard reprt t yur Dashbard, d the fllwing: 1. In Lucity Admin Tls click n Dashbard > Dashbard/Preferences. 2. If Lucity is in the list f users n the left, select it and click Edit. If it is nt there, click Add. If yu have t Add, then n the next screen select Lucity. 3. On the Dashbard tabs screen click Add. 4. Give the tab a name then click Add t add a frame. 5. Give the frame a name then click Add t add a plugin. 6. Select Crystal Reprt frm the list, give it a name if desired and click OK. 7. Once a Plugin Type f Crystal Reprt is selected then an Add Reprt dialg is pened. The Shw Only Dashbard Reprts ptin will shw a list f reprts created with n parameters and t fit a frame size. If this ptin is unchecked then all reprts are available t add t Dashbard. If the reprt has a parameter it will shw as a link t pen the reprt. 33

Nte: V2015r2 sp0 viewing ptins d nt wrk crrectly. Reprt (ld PDF) shws as blank, Linked shws as ld PDF and Paged Reprt (ld HTML) shws as ld PDF. There is a patch. It was crrected in V2015r2 sp1. Fr a reprt with parameters set up in Dashbard as Advanced (ld HTML), the parameters will be ffered befre the reprt runs. Refresh will reffer the parameters. 36

Field Grwing Depending n the field size and Field frmatting, there may be issues with the field grwing hrizntally when run in the Advanced View (HTML). If a field has nt been set up t grw vertically and if the value in the field is lnger than the space prvided by the field in the reprt, the field will grw hrizntally int the next field. T crrect this, the field may be set up with the Can Grw ptin in Frmat Field. This will allw the field t grw vertically. Sme reprts d nt have the luxury f allwing a field t grw vertically, like a Detail reprt, where many fields are gruped tgether in the same reprt sectin. If there is n rm t expand the field hrizntally and a clipped field is acceptable, then in the Can Grw ptin the field can be limited t grw ne line. This will lck the field size in. 37

Fnt Fr Web reprts avid the use f the Calibri fnt. There are issues with viewing the reprt as PDF. Web Date Filters If a date filter is built in the desktp, the filter uses the # sign. WKORDER.WO_STRT_DT BETWEEN #01/01/2014# AND #12/31/2014# If this is used in the web and the reprt is run with Frm Filtered Set, it will errr. Instead use the single qutes in the filter. WKORDER.WO_STRT_DT BETWEEN '01/01/2012' AND '12/31/2012' Wildcard Use Fr Lucity desktp filtering the wildcard symbl is the asterisk *. If a filter is built in the Lucity web versin the wildcard symbl is the percent sign %. Crystal recgnizes the asterisk. The web versin cnverts the symbl befre it runs the reprt. If yu typically use the percent sign fr a wildcard make sure that when yu are wrking in Crystal that yu use the asterisk. Lgged in User ID and Lgged in Emplyee Cde Fr versins 7.4 r later the Lgged in User ID and Lgged in Emplyee Cde can be brught int Web reprts straight frm Lucity. This infrmatin is being brught in frm the Emplyee mdule in Wrk and is set up much like the ViewSecuredFields parameter. Fr the User ID, create a new parameter called LOGGEDINUSERID. Fr the Emplyee Cde, create a new parameter called LOGGEDINEMPCODE. Bth parameters are String type fields. Drag the parameter fields int the reprt. When the reprt is run frm Lucity, these fields will ppulate with the crrect Lgged in User infrmatin. 38

Admin Prtal - V2016r2 (and newer) Many Lucity Administratin Tls are nw fund in the Web Admin Prtal. This screen shws the values set up in Lucity Administratin Tls > System > Settings > Reprting. Clse Reprts Immediately Helps with reprt dispsal if agency is having issues with their maximum prcessing limit errrs. There are lgic changes in V16r2 s this ptin shuld be False unless there are errrs. This setting causes reprt cnnectins t be immediately clsed after a reprt page has generated. Crystal Reprts limits hw many cncurrent reprts may be pen and this will allw mre reprts pen at nce. Hwever, it will cause higher CPU utilizatin and slightly slwer reprt perfrmance because the reprt must be regenerated fr each page. By default, a user's reprt cnnectins are clsed when a user runs a new reprt and an lder reprt has been pen fr mre than 5 minutes r when the user's web sessin ends. Reprts may als clse when the user clses the windw displaying the reprt but this may be unreliable Get Custm Crystal Reprts n Web App Startup Causes Lucity Web t get new cpies f Custm Crystal reprts frm the Dcument server whenever Lucity Web is restarted. This shuld be True unless instructed t disable by supprt fr truble shting purpses. Subtitle Suppressin Suppress Subtitles On Dashbard Reprts, that remves the subtitle parameter fr Dashbard reprts. Suppress Subtitles On View Reprts, that remves the subtitle parameter fr reprts run frm mdules. Fr the Subtitile suppressin t wrk crrectly, the Subtitle parameter name must be Reprt Subtitle. Grup Tree Bkmark Create Bkmarks Frm Grup Tree, that allws users t create bkmarks within the utput f a Basic reprt. 39

Web Perfrmance Reprts take memry when they run. Each subreprt is seen as an individual reprt when the reprts run. If many individuals have numerus reprts running n their dashbard, the system may slw dwn. One pssible slutin t this issue is using Crystal Reprts Server r SAP Business Intelligence Server (Crystal Reprts Enterprise). This wuld allw reprts t be ffladed t a server dedicated t that purpse. This is nw supprted in V2016r2. This is available t purchase thrugh SAP. Reprting There is nw a Reprt tl fr adding and running Admin reprts.
