The following are step-by-step instructions for registering yourself and a spouse or guest for the monthly General Membership Meetings. Please note that you are not finished until you complete Step 10. We ve had people go through the process, only to quit before the final step and not realize they aren t registered. We hate to turn anyone away, so please ensure you have confirmed your registration. To Register for an Event 1. Go to http://northcountynewcomers.org 2. In the upper right-hand corner, you will see LOGIN. 3. Enter your E-mail address and Password, the press LOGIN. If this is your first time logging on to the Wild Apricot site, you will need to create a password. To do this: a. Select Forgot Password b. Type in your E-mail address c. Type in the 6 letter code that displays. This is to ensure that a real person is trying to log in and not a robot. d. Select Submit i. An e-mail will go to the address you entered. Check your in-box for an e-mail from North County Newcomers with Subject: Choose a new password for your North County Newcomers account. ii. Open the message and follow the instructions to choose a new password. iii. Type in a password, at least 7 characters long. Make it a strong password by using a combination of letters, characters, and numbers. This password should be unique, not one you use for e-mail or other online applications. iv. You will see a message stating your password has been changed successfully. e. Select Home f. Log in with your E-mail address and newly created password. g. Check the box to accept the terms of use. You will only have to do this the first time you log into Wild Apricot. h. Press Continue 4. Your profile information will display. 5. From the menu bar at the top, select Events. Figure 1 6. A list of upcoming events will display. Not all of them will be open for registration. Find the event and press Register 7. Your E-mail address will display. Press Next a. The Registration Types appear. There are four: Alumni, General Non-Member, Member in Good Standing and Non-paying Guest. Most of you are members in good standing, meaning a dues-paying member, not an alumni. Someone who is attending but is not a member is a general non-member. An alumni is someone who was a member in good standing for five consecutive years and has now graduated. The non-paying guest is reserved for the speaker and must be registered by the luncheon chair. b. Select the Registration Type that applies to you then choose NEXT. See Figure 2. 08/27/2017 2

Figure 3 10. If you are bringing a guest, or your spouse or domestic partner is also attending, check Add Guest or Spouse, otherwise select NEXT. Be aware that you are assuming responsibility for payment of any one you register under your account. If you do not want that responsibility, then register your guest separately as a General NonMember. Some events have limited seating, so registration is first open to Members in Good Standing and their non-alumni guests. After seven days, registration is open to alumni and the general public. 08/27/2017 4

a. Enter the name and contact information for your guest or spouse. Make sure to include the meal choice and add any comments that you wish to make. b. Press DONE. If you are bringing more than one guest, repeat Step 9 otherwise press NEXT to continue. See Figure 4. 12. Figure 4 If you receive the following error message check to be sure the guest s email is not the same as the member s email. member@yahoo.com Our system uses email address as the Registration ID so duplicate email addresses are not allowed. It is fine to leave the guest s email address blank. 08/27/2017 5

11. Review the registration information. VERY IMPORTANT! At this point you have four options: a. Cancel Cancels the registration process. No invoice is generated and you will not be registered for the event. b. Back Returns to the previous screen so that you can make any changes to the registration, such as meal choices. c. Invoice Me Your registration is confirmed and an invoice will be sent to your E-mail account. You may pay at the door by cash or check on the day of the event, or you may pay online using your credit card, debit card, or PayPal account prior to the event. d. Pay Online Your registration is confirmed and you may pay immediately with a credit or debit card, or a PayPal account. Please note, you do not need a PayPal account in order to pay online. 12. If you chose Option C, Invoice Me, you will receive an invoice for the total number of registrants you entered. Please pay at the event. We are unable to process credit cards at the door but you may pay by cash or by check, payable to NCNC. a. You will also receive an E-mail with the subject Event Registration Is Pending IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION E-MAIL then your registration wasn t completed and you will have to start over. b. Prior to the registration deadline, please ensure you received a confirmation through email. We are obligated to advise the food service of the number of attendees and their meal choices. If you don t have a registration, we have no choice but to turn you away, resulting in bad feelings for all concerned. 13. You re done. You can either: a. Log out b. Check to see who else has registered. To do that: i. Select the Events tab ii. Click on x Registrants (where x=number of registrations.) To Cancel A Reservation: Only the Luncheon Chair can cancel a reservation. You will need to send an E-mail to the Reservations Chair at reservations@northcountynewcomers.org to request a cancellation. Cancellations must be received 8 days prior to the event. 08/27/2017 6
