About ASCADA SAS ASHIDA has Designed, Deveoped & Perfected SCADA (Supervisory Contro & Data Acquisition System) System especiay for Substation Automation for Eectrica Utiity appication ASCADA-SAS. This is a very powerfu computerized system, and brings contro of entire substation at your finger tips. As per the specific requirements & the needs of the cient we Design, Manufacture, Suppy, Insta & Commission entire ASHIDA SCADA System on turnkey basis. ASHIDA has successfuy competed more than 75 projects at various votage eves from 11KV to 400KV. The concepts we have used in our ASHIDA SCADA system empoy the Remote Termina Units (RTUs), Station Controer, Inteigent Eectronic Devices (FCCM) and integrating different makes of Bay Controer Units, Numerica Protection Reays and Muti Function Meters with integration of mutipe protocos. The ASHIDA SCADA system covers compete Energy Management system, Aarms & Status Monitoring Recording & Contro Outputs i.e. to measure digita inputs, anaog inputs & contro outputs and compete protection Reay anaysis. The SCADA sha support wide range of industry standard protoco such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-103, MODBUS & DNP. There are mutipe options for backend Data base Server e.g. SQL server etc. The ASHIDA SCADA supports communication through different media such as Ethernet, Radio VHF, Fiber Optic, GSM, GPRS, VSAT, P&T Line, PLCC Communication, ADSS Communication etc.

This inteigent device communicates with a number of save devices (DI, DO Cards, Numerica Reays, etc.) & compies this information which serves as a singe database of the entire sub-station. This compied information can then be communicated simutaneousy with Loca / Remote Substation as we as Load Dispatch Centre using standard open protoco Station Controer gathers information from digita input, digita output & anaog input cards. It has a combination of five communication ports. Two RS 232 ports can be used for SCADA PC communication on IEC 60870-5-101 or SPORT protoco. One Ethernet port can be used for communication on IEC 60870-5-104 protoco. One RS 485 port is used for communication with Numerica Reays on IEC 60870-5-103 protoco. One more RS 485 port is used for communication with Energy Meters on MODBUS. Station Controer performs the foowing tasks Continuous scanning of a DI/DO/AI cards & Numeric reays for updated parameter vaues & events. Sending contro operation command to numeric reays or digita output cards. Dispay a acquired information ocay on LCD. Provide a information to contro room via communication ink on demand. Sending updated parameters vaues to RCC as response to commands.

The system consists of SCADA Software on servers at Remote Contro Center (RCC Equipment), Communication Media and ARTUs at the remote stations. The ARTU in turn acquires most of the status / aarm information from communicabe protection reays. Main parts of ASHIDA RTU are a Station Controer, DI / DO & AI Cards and other accessories. The design is different from conventiona ARTUs in that it interfaces with AI, DI & DO cards using communication ink rather using hard-wired communication. Athough this necessitates that a cards have a separate controer of its own, it has been so designed that ARTU can interface with communicabe protection reays & communicabe Muti-function eectrica meters. Thus making the ARTU virtuay future-proof. The ASHIDA RTU is a singe unit for the entire substation for monitoring & controing a bays in the substation. The ARTU has a redundant power suppy. The ARTU can communicate with the Numerica Reays and Energy Meters and can be interinked with these through Fiber Optic cabe / copper cabe in ring /star network. The ARTU can be time-synchronized from remote. The ARTU features: Robust power suppies capabe of withstanding surges and operate at +/- 20% of rated votage. Compiance to internationay accepted IEC standards for Isoation, Impuse, Fast Transient, HF Disturbance, Eectromagnetic Disturbance, Eectrostatic Discharge, EMC, EMI and other reevant type tests as appicabe to unprotected equipment in substation environment. Digita outputs (incuding 1 trip & 1 cose signa), for trip and cose functions (i.e. the command from SCADA) is routed through separate auxiiary reays. A the aarms and status inputs are monitored with a resoution of 1 msec. Time stamping of each input is provided. Chatterfitering of digita inputs is provided to suppress unwanted aarms. The ARTU supports time synchronization from SCADA through protoco or directy from the GPS cock. The ARTU extracts the data from the Mutifunction Energy Meters or ABT meters provided on each contro pane and transfer the same on MODBUS protoco to the SCADA system 4

Data anaysis and reports ASHIDA-SAS modues: SCADA-Server: Server contros a the communication servers, processes the fied objects and contains a onine parameters, inputs, output objects. Sever handes contro operations, interocks, events, aarms, time synchronization, data ogging, etc. It broadcast the objects data to SCADA-Cients and aso receives the requests from them. SCADA-Cient: These provides and HMI for SCADA system. Used to view onine mimic, events, annunciations, perform contro operations, etc. Communication-Servers: These are the Active-X EXEs, create fied objects such as parameters, Dins and contros, etc. Communication server acquires data from the fied devices and updates their objects. SCADA-Standby-Server: This is a hot standby for SCADA-Server. When SCADA-Server, stops functioning, SCADA-Standby-Server takes over and starts functioning as SCADA-Server. SCADA-Standby-Server-Monitor: This contros the switching between SCADA-Server and SCADA-Standby-Server. SAS-Anaysis: This is a data anaysis utiity used for customized and standard report generation. SAS-Configuration: Provides an offine configuration for SCADAServer. Mimic-configuration utiity for Mimic/SLD dispay.

ASHIDA SAS Layout The ASHIDA SCADA supports communication through different media such as Ethernet, Radio VHF, Fiber Optic, GSM, GPRS, VSAT, P&T Line, PLCC Communication, ADSS Communication, etc. HMIs At Centra contro station, the Main SCADA Server, communicates with the Smart-RTU on IEC101/104. It is possibe to communicate with mutipe Smart-RTUs from a centra ocation. The scaabe software can serve as HMI or can separate mutipe HMIs. At sub-station (remote end, controed) eve there are many Eectronic Devices ike Numerica Protection Reays, Bay Controer Units, Mutifunction / ABT meters of various makes and on different protocos. In ASHIDA SCADA system, we integrate a different protocos using various data-concentrators, gateways & Station-controer. The station controer in the Smart-RTU, coects data from MFM on MODBUS protoco & from Numerica Reays, Bay-contro-units & FCCM cards on IEC60870-5-103 & IEC61850 protoco & sends a this data on IEC101/ 104/ SPORT protoco to SCADA master. It is possibe to send this information to two masters' simutaneousy. (eg. Zona contro & Load Dispatch Centre).
