Placing a Call Using the handset: 1. Pick up handset the handset 2. Dial the number or Diall the number first, and then pick up the handset. Using the speakerphone: With the handset on-hook, press: 1. Any assigned line key, or the [New Call] soft key 2. Dial the number. Or dial the number and then press the [Dial] soft key Using the optional headset: With the headset connected, press: 1. Any assigned line key, or the [New Call] soft key. 2. Press the headset button 3. Dial the number. Or dial the number and then press the headset button. [New Call] soft key 5

Answering a Call Using the handset: Pick up the handset. Using the speakerphone: Press the speakerphone button, or The appropriate line key, or The [Answer] soft key. Using the optional headset: Press the headset button. Headset Button Speakerphone Button 6

Ending a Call Using the handset: Hang up or press the [End Call] soft key. Using the speakerphone: Press the speakerphone button, or The [End Call] soft key. Using the optional headset: Press the headset button, or The [End Call] soft key. End Call Soft Key 7

Redialing Last Call To redial the last call placed from your phone: Press the redial button. A call to your last placed call is attempted. Redial Button 8

Placing a Call On Hold Place a call on hold: Press Hold button to place current call on hold OR Press [Hold] soft key Retrieve a held call: Retrieve the call by pressing Hold button again OR Press [Resume] soft key Hold Button 9

To host a conference: 1. Call the first party. 2. After the first party answers, press the conference button or the [Confrnc] soft key. The active call is placed on hold. 3. Place a call to the second party. 4. When the second party answers, press the conference button or the [Confrnc] soft key. All parties are now joined in the conference. You can do the following: To put the conference on hold, press the [Hold] soft key. To resume the conference, press the [Resume] soft key. To end the conference, press the [End Call] soft key. The other parties remain connected. To split the conference into two separate calls on hold, pres the [Split] soft key. Use your company s conference bridge for more than 4 people. To transfer a call: 1. During a call, press the transfer button or the [Trnsfr] soft key. The active call is placed on hold. 2. Place a call to the party to which you want to transfer a call. To cancel the transfer before the call connects, press the [Cancel] soft key. The original call resumes. 3. When you hear the ring-back sound or after you speak with the second party, press the transfer button or the [Trnsfr] soft key. Transferring a Call You can automatically transfer the call without speaking with the second party. After you complete step 1, press the [Blind] soft key. Then complete step 2. Transfer soft key 11

To enable call forwarding: 1. From idle screen, press [Forward] soft key 2. Scroll to select type of forwarding desired. Always-To forward all incoming calls. No Answer- To forward all unanswered incoming calls. Busy-To forward calls that arrive when you are already in a call. 3. Use dial pad to enter number where you want calls forwarded. 4. Press [Enable] soft key to confirm call forwarding. To disable call forwarding 1. From the idle screen, press the [Forward] soft key. 2. Select the forwarding type you want to disable. Do Not Disturb keeps your phone from ringing from incoming calls and automatically routes the call to voice mail or another number. Do Not Disturb Enabling Do Not Disturb: 1. Press Menu button. 2. Select Features, and then select Do Not Disturb When Do Not Disturb is enabled, and flash on the screen. Disabling Do Not Disturb: 1. Press Menu button. 2. Select Features, and then select Do Not Disturb Menu Button 13

To assign a new speed dial key: 1. Press and hold an unassigned line key. A new empty entry in the contact directory is automatically opened allowing contact information to be added. 2. Press the [More] soft key. 3. Press the [Add] soft key. 4. (Optional) Enter first and/or last name of the contact from the keypad. Use the [1/A/a] soft key to select between numeric and upper/lower case alphanumeric modes. 5. Enter a contact number. The number must be unique (not already in directory). 6. Change the Speed Dial Index Field. 7. Press the [Save] soft keys to accept or cancel changes. 8. Press the Menue button to return to the idle display. Voice Mail A voice mail icon on the phone screen, a flashing line key, and a stutter dial tone in place of normal dial tone indicate one or more new voice mail messages To listen to voice messages: 1. Press the Messages button. 2. Press the [Connect] soft key, and then follow the voice prompts. Messages Button 15
