How to create a Slide Show with NeroVision Express 2 1. First to launch NeroVision Express 2: Go to Start->All Programs->Nero>NeroVision Express 2->NeroVision Express. Or you can just go to Start->NeroVision Express

2. This brings up the NeroVision Express 2 Main Window. Select Make New Slide Show->DVD-Video. (Note: You can use VCD, SVCD or mindvd as well for the format.) 3. This brings up the Project window. From here you can add pictures directly from your Hard Drive; scan in Images using a scanner; or pull the pictures from a Digital Camera.

4. First we need to add some pictures. Click on the icon to bring up the browse option and select Browse. 5. This brings up the Open window. Select your JPG, TIF, BMP, etc files and then click on Open.

6. The files you have selected will show up in the My Media Files window. 7. You can add these pictures now by simply clicking on the icon, or you can simply drag-and-drop the pictures into the timeline below.

8. Now we are ready for Transitions. Click on the Transitions tab, shown with a red box around it in the picture. 9. Select the transition from the selection provided, and then click on button to add the highlighted transition. Or you can simply drag-and-drop the transition into the timeline as well.

10. You can repeat this process so that you have a different transition for each picture. 11. Or you can right-click on any transition located in the Timeline, and select the option to Apply Transitions to all Transitions Fields. This will cause all the pictures to be assigned this one transition in the timeline.

12. Or you can right-click on any picture in the Timeline, and select Apply Random Transition to Selected Pictures and now each picture will be randomly assigned a transition. 13. You can also make changes to the Transitions. Double-Click on any transition located in the timeline. This will bring up the Transition properties window.

14. Click on the icon so that it looks like, and this will lock the Transitions properties window in place. So now you can make changes to the transition and view those changes in the preview window more easily and quickly. 15. Select a picture in the Timeline and then click on the icon to bring up the Picture properties.

16. Now we want to set the length of time a picture is to be displayed, before moving on to the next picture. To do this, we need to adjust the Duration field located in the top left of the Picture Properties window. 17. Click on the up or down to adjust the time. And click in the window under seconds to move it up or down a second at a time, or click on the minutes to move it up or down a minute at a time each time you click on the keys.

18. You can also make changes to the pictures. Select a picture in the timeline, and then click on the icon to crop the picture. This is non-destructive to the original picture. You have many options available for basic photo manipulation. Crop Image opens a dialog where you can crop the highlighted picture to a modifiable rectangular area. Apply Effects displays the Image Effect menu, from which you can select a graphical effect to apply to the selected picture. Rotate Left rotates the selected picture by 90 degrees to the left. Rotate Right rotates the selected picture by 90 degrees to the right. Save to File saves the highlighted picture to a file, applying all selected effects to it. Duration Setting opens a dialog where you can specify the duration of all pictures and transitions, overriding the current individual duration settings. Properties opens a dialog where you can edit the selected items properties. Such as adding Text to the picture, etc.

19. Now we are ready to add our audio files. Click on the tab located in the bottom left of the window, in the Timeline. 20. This brings up the Show Audio window. Select an audio file and click button to add the audio file, or just drag-and-drop the audio file into the window below.

21. The window will display the name of the audio files, as well as their duration time. You are now ready to move on to creating the Menu and then writing to CD. Click on Next to continue. 22. This brings you to the Content window. Click on Next to continue

23. This brings up the Create Menu window. Select a menu template. 24. Select the button you wish to work with, and check the box next to Animate buttons. Make any other changes you want to the Shadow, Header text, etc at this time. Once you have made all your changes, click on Next to continue.

25. This brings up the Preview window. View your slide show to make sure it s configured the way you want it to be. If you find setting you do not like, go back and change it at this time. If it came out the way you desired, click on Next to continue. 26. This brings up the Burn Options window. Select your recorder, the write speed, etc, and then click Burn to write the project to CD or DVD.
