General information about the device proservx is a package for the EDS14 Synology datastation. The device is a Network Access Server (NAS) that is delivered completely installed with the proservx plugin. The EDS14 has a 512 MB DDR3 RAM and it is delivered with a 8 GB SD card. proservx is based on OpenHAB open source software. A binding allows the use of all the proserv configuration data that was entered and transmitted via the proserv/mylifedomus product data base. Thus, proservx is configured autonomously using the configuration established once in ETS. Extra configuration tools are not necessary. proservx is compatible with all proserv and mylifedomus controllers delivered to date. Functions proservx principal functions: Recording data from any KNX data point and format. For temperature controller, series of data representing set point values, actual values and the exterior temperature are recorded and shown together. Using the proserv/mylifedomus control functions, the series of set points and actual values are also processed in this way. The series of values are shown in diagrams with different time scales (by hour, day, week, month and year). Exporting data: exporting values as a csv file for processing at a later date in programmes designed for calculating tables or in data bases. Calendar functions for KNX data points. Scheduling is possible for binary data or room controller modes (as byte value or bit value). Venetian blinds may be controlled, byte scenes can be launched. It is easy to simulate a presence during absence. An email alarm can be launched by an event on the KNX bus. SONOS driver for up to 5 zones The VPN server for secure access to the installation via Internet. 3

Installation The configured datastation is connected solely to the network and to the power supply. Assigning an IP address The device is delivered in DHCP mode and requires a fixed IP address within the network. Find the Data station in your network using the free "fing" application for ios. Type the IP adress and login with admin/admin. Now double click the Control Panel icon : In the next window select Network and the Network Interface thumbnail. After selecting the LAN port, the device s IP address can be assigned using Edit. Calling proservx pages The proservx pages displaying the data logger (logview) or the settings on the calendar (scheduler) are accessible using a web browser or the "AUX URL scheme" through proserv. From the following home page you may copy the different addresses. Calling up the home page: Example: http://<ip Synology address>:8081 http://192.168.1.15:8081 Calling up diagrams: <IP Synology address>:8081/openhab.app?sitemap=proserv-classic Example: http://192.168.10.13:8081/openhab.app?sitemap=proserv-classic Calling up scheduler page: (Scheduler): Example: http://<ip Synology address>:8081/proserv/scheduler.html http://192.168.1.15:8081/proserv/scheduler.html 4

These addresses may be entered directly as an AUX function of the URL scheme within the proserv/mylifedomus product data base. This enables the corresponding page to be called up using a button within iknix. Remark: For iknix2 ios app you may also use "proservx://" instead of "http://" in the URL scheme. In this case the selected page will be directly shown in the app. Settings in proservx proserv/mylifedomus IP adress is found automatically. In the settings of the proservx plugin you may verify or alter manually the address. To do this, call up the Settings page. (see Calling prosservx pages ). The dialogue box allows the following operations: 5

1. Select language: English German French 2. Reset history data This selection allows you to reset the data recorded until now. It must be selected if a fundamental modification has been made to the proserv/mylifedomus settings, such as the addition or removal of a #1 in the parameters. 3. Save history data Through this selection, the data are saved as a rrd binary file and as an ASCII csv file. 4. Send history data by email The csv file created as described in point 3) is sent to the configured email address. 5. Configure email and load KNX configuraton. The personal email address to which an email alarm or the saved history data will be sent may be entered here. 6. Set IP of proserv The proserv/mylifedomus IP address is defined here. 7. Restart proservx package Use the restart button to read the configuration of proserv/mylifedomus; this is necessary after downloading the proserv/mylifedomus s ETS product database. After 4 minutes the Package will be operational. 6

Configuring the Scheduler The Scheduler allow repeated and automated call-ups of the proserv/mylifedomus functions. To use a proserv/mylifedomus function via the intermediary of a scheduler, just add #t in the description of the proserv/mylifedomus function. This control character is not displayed in the visualisation. The Scheduler is available available for the following proserv/mylifedomus functions: - Switching - Dimming - RGB seperated (combined with switching or adjusting the lighting intensity) - RGB combined switching - RGB combined dimming - AUX switch (independently of the type of switch control selected) - AUX 1 byte unsigned value (the byte value defined is sent when launched). Using several functions presence simulation can be realised. Use 1byte scenes in the actors. - All shutter functions - Changing room controller modes: o Using bit - mode (switching between comfort and eco ) o Using byte - mode (switching between comfort and night ) Remark: This is only possible if comfort or night mode has been previously selected. So if the device is in standby or freeze protection mode, the comfort/night scheduler is de-activated. All scheduler times may be configured on the proservx page proserv Scheduler (see Calling proservx pages ); each function can also be activated/de-activated. Once the ETS configuration have been transferred into the proserv/mylifedomus with the modifications made using #t, the proserv/mylifedomus configuration must be re-read by proservx. This process is carried out as described under the heading Settings in proservx in point 7). 7

Configuring data logging (diagrams) proservx allows data logging of any KNX data point on the Synology disk drive SSD hard disc. To activate data logging for a proserv/mylifedomus datapoint, just add #l to the description of the proserv/mylifedomus function. The control characters are not displayed in the visualisation. Data logging is supported using the proserv/mylifedomus functions State, Control and Roomcontroller. When a weather station is activated, the meteorological data are also recorded (without entering control characters). - When datalogging of Control functions is activated, the series of values for real and set point values are reproduced together. - When datalogging of Roomcontroller is activated, the series of values for real and set point values and the exterior temperature are reproduced together.. All diagrams can be displayed using the proservx logview page. (see Calling proservx pages) Once the ETS configuration have been transferred into the proserv/mylifedomus with the modifications made using #l, the proserv/mylifedomus configuration must be re-read by proservx. This process is carried out as described under the heading Settings in proservx in point 7). Currently, it is also necessary to reset the recorded data. This takes place as described under the heading Settings in proservx in point N 2). We advise you to export the data as described in point N 3 and 4 prior to this, because the data will be lost during resetting. Configuring the email alarm To launch an email alarm, you must use the State 1bit switch value function of proserv/mylifedomus. Just add #m to the description of the function. The control character are not displayed in the visualisation. The polarity indicated (message for 1 or message for 0) in the product data base is taken into account. An email is sent once when the status matches the polarity of the message. The condition for another email to be sent is a change of the status of the group address. Control character Control characters may be linked together (for example #1#m ). 8

SONOS driver The SONOS driver software that is included in proservx is based on openhab. All the parameters required for communication between the SONOS systems and the KNX bus may be determined through the KNX-proServ s ETS products data base. It is not necessary to have any prior knowledge of openhab. The device was designed to allow the use of basic SONOS functions through the intermediary of the KNX bus. It was not developed to operate SONOS through our iknix application. The purpose is to control SONOS through KNX buttons, augmented reality and HomeKit (Siri...). Functions Up to five SONOS zones can be managed using the KNX bus. Grouped zones are also recognised and controlled at the same time by KNX participants. The following functions are available: On/Off (button with confirmation) Increasing the volume (button) Lowering the volume (button) Volume as a value (0 to 100, 1 byte) Mute On/Off (button with confirmation) Next Previous Selection of radio channel (value encoded on 1 byte) Next radio channel (button) Previous radio channel (button) Info (confirmation) of the radio channel (as a sequence of characters on 14 bytes) Info (confirmation) of the title (as a sequence of characters on 14 bytes) Info (confirmation) of the artiste (as a sequence of characters on 14 bytes) Info (confirmation) of the album (as a sequence of characters on 14 bytes) Current volume (0 to 100, 1 byte) Group zones Ungroup zones Defining the SONOS zones The SONOS system must be correctly installed before use of this driver. It is possible to create more or less than the five zones controlled by the device. If a larger number of zones is set up, you should select five that: - should be controlled by KNX - are frequently or constantly grouped together The following SONOS systems are respectively classified as one SONOS zone: - Play:1, Play:3 or Play:5 individual 9

- Play:1, Play:3, Play:5 stereo speakers (Only the left speaker is taken into account here) - ZP90 or ZP120 - Playbar - Playbar with combined speakers or ZPs (only the Playbar is taken into account here) A subwoofer or a bridge does not need to be taken into account. To identify the SONOS zones, the zones serial numbers must be identified. To do this, start a SONOS controller (ios, Android or PC app) and note the serial numbers of the devices to be taken into account in the settings «about my SONOS system»: e.g. «serial number B8-E9-37-38-0D-2C:F» The following string is required for the configuration: «RINCON_B8E937380D2C01400» (Replace the red number/letter combination as appropriate!) Radio channels Five different radio channels may be turned on directly using KNX controls. The channels must first of all be programmed using a SONOS controller (ios, Android or PC). Search for and select the desired channel under the heading «Radio». In the ensuring dialogue, add «Info & Options» and «My radio channels». The selected channels will then be available directly under «Radio» -> «my radio channels». KNX Configuration To configure the SONOS driver, a KNX-proServ controller is required. This may be supplied by iknix or by BleuCommAzur (the manufacturer s name is printed on the side of the module). Download the KNX group adresses using the following link: www.proknx.com/old/downloads/pk/proservx/sonos_group-adresses.csv N.B. the level of the group addresses 10/x/x must be free. If this is not the case, the existing level 10/x/x must be transferred to another level. This can be done quite simply by transferring the main level 10 to another, free level. Import this file as new group addresses into ETS4 or ETS5. This action allows you to create all the group addresses for the SONOS control covering all five zones: 10

Next, the following settings must be carried out in the parameters of the proserv: URL scheme 1 : #SONOSX#<IP address of the Synology>#<Identification of zone1>#<identification of zone2>#<identification of zone3>#<identification of zone4>#<identification of zone5 Enter the «IP address of the Synology» as indicated under the heading «Assigning an IP address». Enter the «identification of zone x» as indicated under the chapter Defining the SONOS zones. It is possible to enter up to five RINCON channels. If the quantity of the used zones is lower, just skip the entry. URL scheme 2 : #RADIO#<Name of channel radio1>#< Name of channel radio2>#< Name of channel radio3>#< Name of channel radio4>#< Name of channel radio5> The <name of radio channel x> must be entered true to the letter (as described under the chapter Defining the SONOS zones. It is possible to enter up to five radio channels. If the quantity of the used channels is lower, just skip the entry. URL scheme 3 : [#ALTIP#<proServ IP address>] The alternative IP address <proserv IP address> is optional and is only required if communication after defining the settings is not carried out by means of the proserv. In most cases, the entry may be left blanc. 11

Programming proserv Once this has been done, the existing proserv can be programmed (Download product database). Important : Communication between Synology and the KNX bus is via the KNXnet/IP «tunnel». The KNX-proServ allows communication via a maximum of five tunnels. In order to allow SONOS communication and ETS programming simultaneously, the proserv's programming button must be pushed until the programming light flashes. Activate the SONOS driver Now restart the Synology so that the configuration is taken into account (disconnect and connect the power supply). After restarting, the initialisation lasts about 5 minutes. The various SONOS zones can be used with the iknix user interface. 12

Description of group addresses The following group addresses were imported. 13

10/0/0 This address starts and stops all zones, independently of grouping. (ON or OFF) 10/0/1 ON (1Bit) will ungroup all zones 10/0/2 ON (1Bit) will group zone 2 and 1 10/0/3 ON (1Bit) will group zone 3 and 1 10/0/4 ON (1Bit) will group zone 4 and 1 10/0/5 ON (1Bit) will group zone 5 and 1 10/0/6 ON (1Bit) will group zone 3 and 2 10/0/7 ON (1Bit) will group zone 4 and 2 10/0/8 ON (1Bit) will group zone 5 and 2 10/0/9 ON (1Bit) will group zone 4 and 3 10/0/10 ON (1Bit) will group zone 5 and 3 10/0/11 ON (1Bit) will group zone 5 and 4 10/0/12 ON (1Bit) will group zone 3 and 2 and 1 10/0/13 ON (1Bit) will group zone 4 and 3 and 2 and 1 10/0/14 ON (1Bit) will group zone 5 and 4 and 3 and 2 and 1 10/x/1 Start for zone x with ON, stop for zone x with OFF. If the zone is grouped with one or more zones, they will also be started or stopped. 10/x/2 Status of zone x (On or Off) 10/x/3 Volume adjustment of zone x of a value encoded on 1 byte (value range 0 to 100) even if the zone x is grouped with another zone, the volume is adjusted only from this zone. 10/x/4 10/x/5 Confirmation of current volume as a value relative adjustment of volume: ON button, higher, OFF button, lower. To continue adjusting the volume, the button must be pressed several times. The ON button also starts up the zone. 10/x/6 Turn off the sound in zone x with «ON», normal operating with «OFF». The ON/OFF control also allows the sound to be muted in a group zone, without turning it off in the other zones. 10/x/7 10/x/8 10/x/9 10/x/10 10/x/11 10/x/12 10/x/13 10/x/17 Confirmation of Mute Info about the actual master Title as a string of characters of 14 bytes for playlists, extra info for radio programmes Artiste as a string of characters of 14 bytes for playlists, radio channel for radio programmes Album as a string of characters of 14 bytes for playlists, radio channel for radio programmes Next title for playlists when the ON button is used Previous title for playlists when the ON button is used Relative sélection of radio channel: using the ON button, next channel, using the OFF button, previous channel.
