30 40 50 Accessories The Leica Geosystems range of accessories for solving your individual survey task

Leica Geosystems accessories for surveying For solving your tasks in field and office To carry out survey tasks properly, you need your own knowledge and you need the right instrument. You also need the right accessories because, as in a chain, the weakest member determines the overall performance of the system. Leica Geosystems accessories will transform your equipment into a reliable and productive tool. New product lines We now differentiate between the Professional Series and the Basic Series, so you can match the equipment even more closely to your requirements. Tripods, tribrachs and laser plummets Prisms, targets and plumbing poles Usable with any instrument. For attaining the desired accuracy at various ranges. Easy to use, long life, unsurpassed quality. Batteries, chargers and connecting cables Professional Series: For highest requirements and top accuracies. Basic Series: For routine work, particularly on the building site. For every accuracy requirement. Stability, quick setting-up. For the problemfree interchange of instruments, prisms and GPS antennae. From page 4 onwards From page 8 onwards Indispensable for reliable long-term operation in the field. Leica Geosystems batteries are quality products which will not let you down. From page 12 onwards When reading through, pay attention to these symbols. They will enable you to locate the most suitable product. The table attached to page 15 sets out our recommendations for compiling your outfit. A network of distribution companies spanning the globe forms the basis for competent on-site advice and after-sales service. Our Leica Geosystems survey engineers are always ready to assist you. The list attached to page 31 sets out their telephone and fax numbers. 2

Plummets Various survey accessories Data storage and data transfer by radio modem For safer, faster and simpler data processing and data management. Radio modems are now a firmly-established part of modern surveying. The remote control of total stations opens up a new dimension. Zenith- and nadir plummets for precise plumbing in surveying, in building construction and subsurface work, and in industry. From page 18 onwards Levels and levelling staffs These are decisive for precise height measurements. They are used with optical levels and with electronic digital levels. From page 20 onwards It is often just the little things that make such a big difference to the usefulness of your equipment Optical accessories, eyepieces for steep sights Thermometers, barometers, compasses From page 28 onwards From page 16 onwards 3

Tripods, tribrachs and laser plummets Set up instruments quickly, easily, precisely Leica Geosystems tripods: High stability for high-quality instruments Being extremely robust, and not susceptible to distortion when exposed to sunlight, Leica Geosystems tripods are well suited to all applications. For wooden tripods, only top-quality hardwood is used, carefully seasoned. Aluminium tripods offer an excellent price-performance ratio even for simple applications. The bright yellow coating makes the tripods easy to see and protects them against wear and weather. Leica Geosystems tribrachs: Right for all accuracy requirements Top-quality tribrachs form part of the standard outfit for every Leica Geosystems survey instrument. They permit the rapid, forcedcentred exchange of instruments, prisms or GPS antennae. The tribrachs can be supplied with or without optical plummet for simple and precise setting up. The footscrews, which are maintenance-free and are protected against dust, ensure that the movement is always smooth and free of play. Leica Geosystems laser plummets The new, innovative laser plummets make an appreciable contribution to efficient fieldwork. They are the ideal supplement for levelling-up accessories used with total stations which already have a builtin plummet. There is no longer any need for inconvenient viewing through an optical plummet system. The instruments can be set up over the ground point much more quickly and conveniently, and their levelling-up inspected. 4

Data recording and radio modems Indispensable for highly efficient data management PCMCIA memory cards Within only a short time, PCMCIA memory cards have become the standard in the PC environment, and so they also serve as data carriers for Leica Geosystems total stations and GPS instruments. They have a large storage capacity, and are small, lightweight, flexible and reliable. Radio modems Today, the cable-free transmission of survey data is the norm and no longer the exception. It saves on personnel, and has the supreme advantage that the data is communicated quickly and without errors. 16

Levelling staffs and their accessories Decisive for accurate surveying Levelling staffs Leica Geosystems levelling staffs are indispensable for accurate levelling. They are characterized by highly-precise graduations, and by resistance to weather and to temperature changes. The wood used to manufacture the folding staffs is carefully selected and well seasoned. The wooden folding staffs are specially coated, and this makes them remarkably resistant to abrasion and to adverse environmental conditions. Invar staffs Invar is an excellent scale carrier, as a change in temperature does not influence its length. The invar strip, which bears the graduation, is spring-mounted in an aluminium frame and is therefore not affected by the expansion of the levelling staff. 24
