Appendix C - Merit Badge Requirement Information and Costs Merit Badges and activities are listed with information a Scout should know before signing up for the program. Note: Unless specifically stated in the requirements book, a requirement can be completed by a scout before coming to camp. Certain exceptions to this exist through interpretation of the intention of the merit badge requirements found in the 2018 Boy Scout Requirements (641568). If you or your scouts have specific questions about whether a requirement can be completed ahead of time, please contact Camp Director, Phil Williams Key: BC: requirements can completed before meeting with a merit badge counselor, but in most cases won t be completed at camp AC: SR: requirements that must be done after meeting with a merit badge counselor which require work outside of camp Starting Requirements should be done ahead of taking the merit badge All merit badge programs require that Scouts bring a current merit badge pamphlet to class. Merit badge pamphlets can be rented from Beau-Mart for $2/week or purchased for $5. Additional costs are for necessary materials related to earning the badge.
