Connection Connect Network Cable Connect the network cable to the BLUE RJ45 interface on the back of PAP2 or Linksys 2XXX, marked Internet Connect the network cable to the YELLOW RJ45 interface on the back of Linksys 8000, marked Ethernet Detecting the Linksys GW IP address Default 1. Default IP address 192.168.0.1 (on some models 192.168.1.1) Using Telephone connected Déterminez l adresse IP de votre Linksys en appuyant sur quatre touches astérix (*) sur le téléphone analogique associé au Linksys et appuyez sur l option 110 puis sur la touche dièse (#). ****110# Setting the IP Using Telephone connected Connect a telephone to one of the FXS ports. Lift the handset and dial: 1. Check internet connection type: ****100# (DHCP or Static or PPOE) 2. Enable DHCP: Dial **** then 101# then 0# then 1 to save. 3. Or Enable static IP: Dial **** then 101# then 1# then 1 to save. 4. Set static IP: ****111# (use * for the point, # at the end) 5. Check Network mask: ****120# 6. Set Network mask: ****121# (use * for the point, # at the end) 7. Check GW: ****130# 8. Set GW: ****131# (use * for the point, # at the end) 9. Check IP Internet: ****110# 10. Using Web browser La Connectivité de Qualité en Toute Simplicité 1. Enable Web by using telephone connected to the one of the FXS ports and type ****7932# and then 1# to enable and then 1 to save 2. Connect the Linksys GW using web browser using the IP address found or set on previous sections. 3. Choose Admin and Advanced modes. 4. Select tab Router 5. Select sub tab WAN Setup Notes: 1. Do not use IP address 192.168.1.x or 192.168.0.x as the GW external address as it might collide with the internal IP address of the GWs. Configuration of the GW Connect using web browser 1. Enable Web by using telephone connected to the one of the FXS ports and type ****7932# and then 1# to enable and then 1 to save 2. Connect the Linksys GW using web browser using the IP address found or set on previous sections Page 3 of 9
3. Choose Admin and Advanced modes. SYSLOG 1. Select tab Voice 2. Select sub tab System 3. Enter the IP of the PC with Novataxe on Syslog Server and Debug Server 4. Choose Debug level to 3. 5. Make sure that port 514 UDP on your PC is not blocked by internal firewall Page 4 of 9
Access with password If you choose to protect the access of the user by password: 1. Select tab Voice 2. Select sub tab System 3. Put the selected password on User password field. 4. On NovaTaxe on adding the GW Linksys put the login as user and the Password as selected (in the above example it is user ) Page 5 of 9
Avoid end of dialling timeout Enter as Admin login and advances, choose voice and the line to set: on dial plan put the patterns to be recognized for end of dialling. For example in France: (*xx 3xxxS0 00 0[1-9]xxxxxxxxS0 89xxxxxxxS0 xxxxxxxxxxxx.) Where: *xx. - allow stared plus to or more digits (i.e. voicemail *123, turn off caller-id *69, etc) 00 - allow dialing 00 for international operator 3xxxS0- allow dialing (immediate) of 3xxx service numbers, for example SNCF, 3690 and etc. 0[1-9]xxxxxxxxS0 Allow immediate dialling for local number. 89xxxxxxxS0 for PIN codes starting with 89 Page 6 of 9
Disable Hook Flash The hook flash MUST be disabled on al Linksys models, otherwise the call can be put in hold and/or the Novataxe can interpret it as call end while the call is continuing. To disable the Hook flash, logon to the Linksys as Admin login and choose advanced and go to Voice tab and Regional sub-tab. Reset Hook Flash Timer Min: and Hook Flash Timer Max: to 0. Page 7 of 9
