To join the 2017 CFC Donor Pledging System, click the link below and follow the step by step instructions alongside each section within this document. https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome Click here to sign up. Complete the information requested (work or personal email is fine and select a password of your choice), check the I agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use box, and click the Create An Account button at the bottom. Go to your email you provided for your verification PIN in order to move on. NOTE: it can take several hours for the confirmation email to be received in your inbox.
Your email will contain both your verification PIN and the link back to the CFC website. Use the CLICK HERE link to bring you to the site. Enter your PIN and click Submit Code. After you enter your PIN, you will automatically be routed to the login page where you will need to enter your email and password you previously provided during the initial steps, and click Sign In.
Next, you need to select and provide responses to secure your account in the event of needing to recover your account. Once you ve selected and answered the three questions, click Update Security Questions. Next, use the drop down boxes and complete your personal information. Your Department will be Military Air Force, Agency Air Force and Office Other. When done, click Save Changes.
Once your information has been updated, click Go To Homepage. At the home screen, you can learn about activities in your area (based on your zip code you provided earlier) to help choose how to give, submit a donation, view transaction history, edit payment sources, view tax receipts and edit your profile. Once a pledge has been made, you can also view your pledge from this page. For now, click Pledge Now. NOTE: CFC donors will now be allowed to pledge volunteer hours in addition to monetary donations, and for the first time, Federal retirees will have the option to continue supporting their favorite charitable causes through the CFC via a deduction from their annuity.
Here, you can input your charity search criteria prior to searching charities. If no information is known, simply click Search For Charities for an entire listing. You can also specify certain zones if looking to donate volunteer hours; SAFB is located in the Oklahoma & North Texas Panhandle CFC Zone within the drop down selection. Once you ve either selected a specific zone or using the default search, you ll be presented with a choice of charities. NOTE: we ve selected the Oklahoma & North Texas Panhandle CFC Zone which has resulted in 155 results. Not selecting a specific zone will provide the entire listing of 8518 charities. There are many ways to narrow your search select which is best for you until you ve found what you re looking for. Click Add to add to your pledge basket (you can select multiple charities prior to checkout).
Your pledge methods are via bank account, credit/debit card, or volunteer (if available). NOTE: You will need your banking info (Account number & your bank routing and transit number) if you plan on pledging via this option. You can donate as a one time or monthly transaction, and schedule pledges ranging from bi weekly to annually. You also can allot percentages if pledging to more than one charity, so be sure to set them before moving forward. Once you ve allocated your pledge, click Continue With Your Pledge to the confirmation page. Your pledge methods are shown prior to submitting your pledge, so be sure to review them before continuing. When ready, check the I Confirm box, and click Submit Pledge. NOTE: If volunteering only, a $0.00 dollar amount will be shown next to the number of volunteer hours per charity you ve chosen to pledge too.
Once your pledge is submitted, you will have the opportunity to view and print your pledge confirmation, which is opened up in another window once selected. Once you are finished with your pledge, select Log Out at the upper right of your screen under the Your Account drop down menu.
