These are examples of what it is not allowed: Wi-Fi access points, also known as Wi-Fi routers Mobile hotspots (sharing your mobile Internet connection, thus creating a Wi-Fi network) MiFi devices Beacons Wireless microphones and/or cameras Any other device that uses the unlicensed 2,4GHz or 5GHz spectra In the interests of every exhibitor, unauthorized wireless networks will be detected and shut down. All exhibitors must adhere to the wireless policy and penalty processes will be activated if any are found to be in breach of the policy. Please submit your Wireless Policy Acceptance form through the Forms & Deadlines page before Friday 26 January 2018. IMPORTANT NOTE: We understand that some exhibitors may require a special Wi-Fi network for demonstrations. If you have a specific business need, please contact Fira Barcelona before Friday 19 January 2018 to discuss your requirements. The Cable and the Wi-Fi Internet connections are independent, not interconnected. If you need connectivity between wired and wireless devices, you can order one of the Advanced Internet Services (with SSID). A full class C is assigned to each cable. During the delivery process we will inform you about the IP range assigned. The IP distribution works as follows: IP ending in.1 is reserved for the gateway IPs from.2 to.50 are allocated for your wired fixed IP devices (servers, printers...), you can assign them manually at your will IPs from.51 to.254 are assigned to the DHCP server. They will be assigned automatically. IP ending in.255 is the broadcast address and is reserved Keep in mind that if you order a Public IP static address service for this line, you will have to manage the IP addressing, as the public IP address cancels the class C assignment. These services in this page are plug and play. The services will be operative the day that the build-up starts for your stand. We will send you all the needed information by email. If you prefer to have a personalized delivery you will be able to select a date and time during the booking process The Advanced Internet services include a cable connection at the stand, a private Wi-Fi SSID broadcasted at your stand location and separately a Wi-Fi access throughout the exhibition halls. The private SSID is configured with the identifier and password (8 characters minimum) that you indicate. The devices connected to the private SSID will be in the same network as the wired devices. Wired and wireless devices will be able to interconnect and will share the Internet connection bandwidth. Regarding the private SSID traffic, we can either connect it directly to Internet or drop you a cable for you to manage it.

03. GENERAL Technical Specifications Public IP Address A public IP address allows access to a device in your stand from Internet. Assigning one or more public IP addresses to a cable cancels the DHCP service on that line. You will need to manage your network addressing with your own means. If you ordered an Internet service with SSID, we can either connect the private SSID traffic to Internet or we can drop you a cable for you to manage it. Dedicated Access Point Our Wi-Fi APs are at the ceiling, so maybe the distance to the exhibitor may be a problem. A Dedicated Access Point is very useful for: Low power devices that need proximity to the AP Chromecast or Apple TV based demonstrations Multicast requirements Avoid a Business Case The Dedicated AP will be configured by Fira and it will have fully control of the equipment. It also means having a private SSID. The private SSID is configured with the identifier and password (8 characters minimum) that you indicate. The devices connected to the private SSID will be in the same network as the wired devices. Wired and wireless devices will be able to interconnect and will share the Internet connection bandwidth. Please check the Wireless Policy and the business case terms in order to provide you the best service. Booth to booth connection These services connect two booths within the Fira Barcelona Gran Via venue. Internet access is not provided with these services. Ethernet cable: Logical connection delivered with UTP Cat 5 cable with male RJ45 connector. Fiber Optic: Physical connection over a pair of single-mode fibers. Connector type can be SC or LC. If more than one pair of fibers are needed between two given stands, you can order additional pairs.

03. GENERAL Technical Specifications Leased Line Fiber optic link from a booth to an operator's neutral interchange point or Point of Presence (PoP). At this PoP the line coming from the stand and the one coming from the exhibitor's remote datacenter will be connected. This service does not include the line from the exhibitor's datacenter to the PoP, which will have to be ordered separately from a carrier. The speed of the line from the booth to the PoP will be limited to 100 Mbps. The fiber provided is single mode with SC connector. This service includes a 25 Mbps Internet service. For more details of this service, please see the Advanced Internet Services section. Frequency Management Fee to have permission to use a frequency of the radio frequency spectrum during the MWC. It is not necessary to apply for a frequency when using a commercial SIM card from an operator or for Wi-Fi devices. For any radio frequency spectrum request, exhibitors must contact mwc.frequency@firabarcelona.com, and complete the frequency application form. Exhibitors must also read and agree to the frequency coordination policy. The frequency coordination policy and the frequency application form can be found on the Exhibitor Manual webpage: https://gsma.force.com/mwcoem/s/exhibition%20suppliers#cellular For each frequency request, one frequency management fee service must be ordered. One request is needed for each band and eac h location. Switch Networking device that will allow you to share the Internet connection with other devices. The Internet connection cable will use one of the ports of the switch Unmanaged: No configuration will be applied, all devices plugged to the switch will share equally the Internet connection and will be in the same network. Managed: The switch will be managed by Fira Barcelona. You can request to have several isolated networks and define bandwidth limits if needed. The switch is remotely monitored by Fira Barcelona so any degradation on exhibitor's services can be detected immediately. The network cables for the devices are not included. If you need these cables you can order a 'Patch cord 10m' or a 'Booth cabling drop-point' (see the cabling section below) This device requires a power supply. There must be a power socket at the location where it will be placed. The switch is supplied on a rental basis for the duration of the event. At the end of the event it must be returned in the same condition it was delivered. If this is not the case, additional charges will apply.

03. GENERAL Technical Specifications Cabling Category 5 UTP Ethernet cables with male RJ45 connector at both ends. Two options are available: Patch cord 10m: 10 meter cable Booth cabling drop-point: Cable dropped by Fira Barcelona between two points within a stand. The cable will be dropped hidden in the stand structure. A detailed floorplan and a build-up schedule will be required in order to program the cable dropping. Digital telephone line The line only works with the supplied telephone. The line has no restrictions so the exhibitor can call any destination. You must dial 0 before the phone number you want to reach. Every line has a fully operative telephone number that can be reached from the outside. The supplied telephone has a screen, loudspeaker and microphone for hands-free operation, and the telephone can be used to hold multi-party conference calls. The telephone is supplied on a rental basis for the duration of the event. It must be returned in the same condition as it wa s delivered.
