Dial # * (pound key and the Asterisk key) on your telephone touch-tone pad. (The Display will ask for the DB PSWD) (You are now in the programming headers section.) (Various programming headers will be presented as you press the NEXT key) Repeatedly press the menu key marked NEXT until the heading for RESOURCE shows on the screen. Repeatedly press the menu key marked NEXT until the heading for USER NAMES shows on the screen. Enter the three digit extension number you wish to add, modify or delete. You will now see whatever is currently programmed as the name on that extension. Press the menu key marked CHG. Dial the name (up to seven characters including spaces) you wish to place on this extension with your touch-tone keypad by using the following rules: 1) Each button on your telephone keypad has three letters marked on it except for the buttons for 1, *, 0 and #. This is how you will enter a name. If you push the number 2 touch-tone button once, it will display an A on your screen. (the first letter on the button) Push it twice and it will display a B. Three times and it will display a C. Push it four times and you will get the actual number. Most of the other buttons work the exactly same. The Zero button has the letters Q, Z,., and the number 0 on it in that order. The ONE button has the characters,, -, &, and the number 1 on it in that order.

2) If the next letter of the name you wish to place on this extension is on a different button than the one you just used, you may enter that next letter by simply pushing the desired touch-tone button the proper number of times. 3) If the next letter of the name is on the same button that the last letter was on, you must first press the # key to advance to the next character on the screen. 4) To back up one letter, press the menu key at the top marked BKSP. 5) Make the changes you wish and press the menu key marked SAVE. (The change takes effect right away as you save it. If you make a mistake, go back in and change it. This is a cosmetic programming change. It only changes the displayed name on the telephone screen and will not hurt the telephone system in any way so long as you are in the heading for USER NAME when you do the changes. If you get lost, simply press the CLEAR key and start over.) To Exit programming you can lift the handset and hang it up or press the CLEAR key on your phone.
