OUR REGULAR NETWORK NEWS PRODUCTS National CASA sends its member programs regular communications in the form of newsletters, special announcements and legislative action alerts. An important note: National CASA is in the process of redesigning the member portal and these instructions will be updated later to reflect changes. Method Audience Timing CASA-GAL News State and local program directors listed as primary contacts in our member database State Directors Bulletin Special Announcements and Legislative Action Alerts News Boxes on Member Portal Welcome Page State directors and representatives listed as primary contacts in our member database Same distribution as CASA-GAL News State and local program directors listed as primary contacts in our member database with portal log-on Monthly (typically 3 rd Wednesdays) Monthly (typically 2 nd Wednesdays) As needed Monthly at minimum, typically updated more frequently Notes about two other methods: Content posted on our Facebook and Twitter accounts is appropriate for the public at large; content appropriate only for the network of CASA-GAL member programs is not shared through these channels. CASA Matters is a regular newsletter sent by the Resource Development team to current donors and a list of prospects who have signed up to receive email when they inquired about volunteering. These lists are maintained separately from the member program contacts lists. WHAT YOU CAN FIND ON THE MEMBER PORTAL Current and past issues of the CASA-GAL News and State Directors Bulletin are archived off the welcome page on the member portal. Please note that we are striving to improve the visibility of newsletters and announcements as part of the 2018 member portal redesign. Page 1 of 7

WHITELIST INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMMON EMAIL DOMAINS Network news communications are different from individual emails coming from National CASA staff or one of our Outlook boxes because they are being sent through our email management systems, MailChimp and Salsa Engage. The challenge is that email clients have to be very vigilant these days due to the volume and nature of spam. It can be difficult for even legitimate emails you want to get through. To avoid them being seen as spam or junk by your email system, you need to whitelist these by adding National CASA <nationalcasa@casaforchildren.org (sent through MailChimp and SalsaLabs.org) as a safe sender or by adding them to your address book. Below are instructions for the top email domains used by our member programs. In addition to these, you may need to adjust your organization s security software if National CASA <nationalcasa@casaforchildren.org has inadvertently been added to a Blocked list. Gmail To make sure our email gets to your Inbox, you must add MailChimp and SalsaLabs.org to your contacts list. 1. Open the email from National CASA <nationalcasa@casaforchildren.org>. 2.
