Synopsis Basic Systems Engineering Collaborating on large projects requires a clear understanding of both the technical processes used in systems engineering and the ways to articulate these processes among clients, business partners and suppliers. The objective of this introductory seminar is to provide answers to the following questions:» What is meant by complex systems engineering and what are its domains of application?» What are the problems that frequently arise when complexity is managed collaboratively? What protection do the standards provide?» What principles should be adopted when conceiving tooled development processes? What is the state of the art? Advanced Systems Engineering Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful system. It considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user needs. The objective of this advanced seminar is to provide participant acquiescent with defining customer needs and required system functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem: operations, cost and schedule, performance, training and support, test, manufacturing, and disposal. INCOSE SEP Certification The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1990 to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems. This seminar will support you in the preparation of the INCOSE exam based on the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook v.3.2.2. 2011 for the achievement of the SEP Certification. 3
Basic Systems Engineering Duration 1 day - 7h At the end of this seminar you will have learned:» What is Systems Engineering and what are its application fields;» What are its technical processes as defined by the international standards;» What data and organizational principles are involved and how to manage traceability in a collaborative tooled context. Who should attend?» Project managers; project leaders;» Methods and tools managers; Integration, Verification and Validation (IVV) team leaders;» Architects and systems engineers. Prerequisites None. Format Presentations, practical instruction and discussions. Program Introduction Motivation for Systems Engineering A Definition of Systems Engineering The Pillars of Systems Engineering The Value of Systems Engineering Systems Engineering processes and SysML contribution Systems Engineering and its focus areas Overview of the Systems Engineering processes Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) MBSE Concept and Benefits MBSE for Industry, Academia and Institutions MBSE applied within the System Life Cycle Integrating BPMN and SysML to specify System Requirements Conclusion and debates 4
