1. TMS Office 1.9.8.3 1.1. General Export of theoretical sections to Amberg Geotechnics The last missing part to transfer the complete project data in a fast way from TMS Office to Amberg Geotechnics has been completed. With the new TMS Version you are able to export also the theoretical sections to other external software. You can find the export under Project Export ASCII Theoretical sections. The export will create an ASCII file with start and end station of every section. This file can be imported in Amberg Geotechnics with the import button under the theoretical sections in the selected construction stage. 1.2. TMS ProFit Date and time from Windows calendar for all ASCII imports For the ASCII imports of measured points from total station and point cloud there is now a default timestamp provided. For these imports in ProFit the current date is used. This saves the time for manual input of the date and the time during the import procedure. This improvement is also made for the ASCII import of scan data and for the PTS import. Of course you can overwrite the default date during import. 1.3. TMS Tunnelscan Repositioning of FARO scans possible Since this update it is possible to reposition Faro Scans that were measured with the APM method. Before, you would have to keep a copy of the raw Faro Scan in a separate folder in case a new position (for example after a network measurement) was needed. From now you can do the position directly with the positioned scan in TMS Office and save the disk space for the raw scan copy. Support of new laser scanner models for processing: Z&F Imager 5010 and Leica HDS7000 In the new version of TMS Office it is possible to use scans measured with the new HDS7000 and Z&F Imager 5010 for the processing. For these scanner models the same workflow as known from older Z&F or Leica scanners can be used. The new Scanner support also the APM position method and the import of positioned files form external software over targets. The workflow is exactly the same for all scanners of this type. 1.4. TMS Scan Control Support of new laser scanner models Z&F 5010 and Leica HDS7000 for measurements The new Scanner family from Z&F and Leica are supported. With the new scanners it is possible to measure with APM in the tunnel with the same workflow as from all other scanner types of this family. Scanner in tunnel with APM positioning method Phase-out information for HDS 4500 Scanner Types With the new support of the Z&F 5010 and Leica HDS7000 it was no longer possible to support the HDS4500 for ScanControl. The measurement with this scanner is supported up to version 1.6.9.10. You can use this version for the measurement in the tunnel. The positioning and the processing of HDS 4500 is still possible with the new TMS version 1.9.8.3! Note! Only the measurement with HDS 4500 is not possible anymore with versions after 1.9.8.0. the positioning and data processing of scans made with HDS 4500 is still fully supported also in the new version of TMS Office. 1.5. Bug fixes TMS Office: Freezing effect with Win7 Home Edition (after Win7 Update) During the last weeks Windows 7 installed an update on your computer. Some customers with Windows7 Home Edition had troubles with the freezing of TMS Office. This problem is solved with the new TMS Versions. TMS Office: Project loosing theoretical section definition after opening project without dongle fixed Sometimes it happened that after the opening a project without a valid dongle in demo mode, the theoretical sections of the project was overwritten. This problem is solved with the new TMS version. TMS ProFit: Merge profiles in shaft After the merging of some certain shaft profiles the merged profile was mirrored displayed. The merge of profiles is now working correctly also for shaft profiles. TMS ScanCloud: Incorrect display of slider in Map view when working in imperial units The slider is displayed in the correct position also in case the software works with imperial units. 2. TMS Applications 4.05 (Leica Viva) 2.1. General Support Firmware Leica 4.3 The TMS Application version 4.05 supports the newest Leica Firmware 4.3 for Leica Viva instruments. Support of RH16/CTR16/TCRS29 BT With the new Leica Firmware also the new Radio modems RH16/CTR16/TCRS29 are supported. (After the testing in the tunnel we can recommend to use this RH also in the tunnel environment.) New Battery Management for Viva Total Stations The implementation of an new power management for external power sources was implemented. The old problem that a total station on a console starts only with a TCPS is with this update solved. From now on, the internal battery in the total station works like a temporary power supply. In case external power is lost, the instrument switches to the internal battery. As soon as the electricity comes back, the total station uses the external power source again. The instrument will continue working normally during the outage of the external power source. With this improvement you can use the TPS with a radio handle easily as an motor laser. The manual switch on with this combination and the sometimes difficult access to the total station after the loss of the power source is not needed anymore. This improvement makes the system also more compact and reliable. 3. TMS Applications 3.33 (TPS1200, TS 30) Support Firmware Leica 8.5 The TMS Appl. version 3.33 supports the newest Leica Firmware 4.3 for Leica 1200 instruments. With this Leica firmware you are able to use the new RH16/CTR16/TCRS29. You can find the new radios as known under the radio settings of the TPS1200.
