Overview The Oracle CRM On Demand Release 29 Product Release Notes outline the known issues, customer impacts, and minor changes to the Oracle CRM On Demand user interface and behavior. The Release Notes also list the defects and behaviors that have been fixed in this release. To review the features included in this release, see Oracle CRM On Demand Release 29 Administrator Preview Guide available on the Oracle CRM On Demand Training and Support Center portal (in the Release Information tab under What s New) as well as the Transfer of Information (TOI) recordings which are available on My Oracle Support. Important Announcement Calendar Enhancement for Recurring Appointments and Tasks Postponed A planned enhancement to the Oracle CRM On Demand calendar to support recurring appointments and tasks in Release 29 has been postponed. This enhancement is currently under review to determine a suitable release target. Known Issues The following known issues are new in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 29. Customization JavaScript API s getlicvalue Method Returns an Error in Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 When a user is using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 to display a Detail page and the page is using custom JavaScript containing the JavaScript API getlicvalue method to retrieve the language independent code of a picklist and the picklist is populated with a value, the JavaScript fails. For example, if the administrator uses the JavaScript APIs to create a custom button to read the Status picklist field on an Opportunity Detail page, then when the user clicks on the custom button, the custom JavaScript fails and the user sees a yellow exclamation mark icon at the corner of the browser. Clicking on the icon displays the error. The error does not occur when the JavaScript is on the Edit page and the user is using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8. Also, the error does not occur when the JavaScript is on the Detail page when the user is using any other browsers. Administration Mirror Appointment Flag in the Activity Record Type is not Translated to Non-ENU Languages The Mirror Appointment Flag field in the Activity record type indicates if an appointment is an event appointment or not. The field is read-only and is not present in the Appointment page layout by default. The field name is not translated to the non-enu languages. Therefore, no matter what the administrator s language is set to, the field name is always displayed in English. This is only an issue related to the display value and does not affect how this field functions. 4 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

Tooltip Display Format Field is not Translated to Non-ENU Languages The tooltip display format field in the Field Edit page of Field Management is used by the administrator to configure the tooltip to display in Plain Text or HTML format. The label and picklist displayed values for this field are not translated to non-enu languages. Therefore, no matter what the administrator s language is set to, this field is always displayed in English. This is only an issue related to the display values and does not affect how this field and its values functions. UI/Usability Error Messages Displayed in the UI Do Not Match the Error Messages in Non-UI Channels In Release 29, as part of the initiative to improve usability of the application, many UI error messages have been reworded to be more user-friendly. However, the error messages for Web services, REST, and Import channels were not changed to match the UI error messages to avoid the risk of breaking customer integrations. For example, when an operation on a record is denied because of user's lack of permission to perform the operation, an error message "You have read-only access to this record. Click Cancel button or Back link to continue. Access Denied. Operation Failed: <Operation>. Record Type: %1. Access Level: %2 was displayed for all channels. The message does not convey the correct information because the user might not have read-only access to the record. In Release 29, the error message for the UI operation has been was changed to "You do not have permission to perform that operation. Operation Failed: <Operation>. Record Type: %1. Access Level: %2. Searching Punctuation Characters in Enhanced Keyword Search Returns Error When using Enhanced Keyword Search to search for a string containing a punctuation character, such as the hyphen in "Oracle-Tech", Oracle CRM On Demand displays the following error: "You have entered an invalid character: '<punctuation>', at position: ' '(SBL-ODS-51260)" The correct behavior for this search is not to return any errors and execute successfully. To avoid the error, enter a search string without punctuation characters such as exclamations, hyphens, colons, and so on. This does not affect the search results as punctuation characters in the record values are ignored for Enhanced Keyword Search. Show Full List in the Enhanced Keyword Search s Results Page Does Not Show the Correct Search Result List When using Enhanced Keyword Search to search for records, there is a Show Full List link displayed in the Search result page. Clicking the Show Full List link should display all the search results; however, clicking the link in the Enhanced Keyword Search page shows all the records for the record type. To ensure a concise list of search results is returned, refine your search criteria. Type Ahead Search for Enhanced Keyword Search The type ahead feature in Enhanced Keyword Search looks for the records in the Recent Items lists based on the supported Enhanced Keyword Search fields for the record type being searched. For example, for account, it will search the Account Name, Location and Email fields to see if there are matches as the user types. However, on an upgrade from Release 28 to Release 29, if the user is searching in Enhanced Keyword Search for an account or a contact prior to accessing the account or contact record in the recent item lists, then the search is only able to match on Account Name for account records or First Name and Last Name for contact records in the recent item lists. Only after the user accesses the recent items records after Release 29 upgrade can this feature search all the supported Enhanced Keyword Search fields for accounts and contacts. 5 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

UI/Usability and Web Services Issues with Account as a Child of the Address Record in the User Interface and in Web Services In Release 29, Oracle CRM On Demand has temporarily withdrawn its support for an account as a child of an address record. This temporary withdrawal of support impacts the Address record user interface and integrations using the Address Web services v2.0. The Accounts related information section in an Address Detail page will not be accessible through the UI. The Address Web services Query page requests with Account child containers will return the following error: <siebelf:errorcode>(sbl-ods-00208)</siebelf:errorcode> <siebelf:errorsymbol/> <siebelf:errormsg>method 'Execute' of business component 'Account' (integration component 'SharedAddress_Account') returned the following error:"internal error: Account buscomp: Table def doesn't exist when try to get table owner.(sbl-ods-00208)"(sbl-eai-04376)</siebelf:errormsg> If the above restriction impacts your company, log a service request. Customer Impact Administration New Columns Exported for Master Audit Trail Export When the Master Audit Trail is exported, two additional columns, Record Type Display Name and Field Modified Display Name, are included by default. The columns are included by default to show the display name for the record type of the record that is modified, and the display name for the field that is modified. Review any integration or processes that use the Master Audit Trail export file to avoid any issues on an upgrade to Release 29. Analytics Local Currency Value to Company Currency Value Conversion Starting in Release 29, for a local currency amount that would be converted to more than 999999999999999.9999999 in the company s currency, the converted company currency amount is set to the maximum possible value to avoid any possible extract, transform, and load (ETL) errors. Integration Importing Events is Expected to be Slower if the Display Events in Calendar Setting is Selected If the Display Events in Calendar setting in the Company Profile is enabled, Oracle CRM On Demand creates an additional Event Appointment record in the database for each Event record that is created. This impacts performance when importing events due to the additional records that are created. UI/Usability Attachment Name is Populated to the Attachment File Name by Default In prior releases, when associating an attachment to a record, in the Attachment Edit page, users were required to enter an Attachment Name. In Release 29, after the user selects a file, the name of the file (without the extension) is 6 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

now automatically populated in the Attachment Name field. This is the default behavior for all users; however, the Attachment Name field is still editable for users to enter a customized Attachment Name, if desired. Drag and Drop is Available by Default in the Calendar View for Classic and Modern Theme When navigating to any personal calendar view, drag and drop functionality is available by default. By hovering your mouse over an existing appointment, and the mouse changes to a four-directional arrow, the appointment can be dragged and dropped. NOTE: Single day appointments cannot be dragged to a time that spans over two days. For example, a two hour appointment cannot be dragged to a start time of 11:00 P.M. because the end time would span over to the next day. Inconsistent Sort Order of Opportunity Team Lists Depending on View In previous releases, depending on the user s out-of-the-box list view, the sort order would be different for each list. The list of the Opportunity team members in the Opportunity Team related item section, in the Opportunity team s Show Full List page, and in the Edit page for the Opportunity team were sorted differently from each other. In Release 29, these three set of lists are now all sorted in ascending order by the Last Name field. List Order s Available Lists Sorted by Default In the Manage Lists page of any record type, users can select and order the lists to be displayed in the homepage for the record type by clicking List Order. By default, the available lists are now always sorted in ascending order so that the users can easily find an available list name. Mass Update Enhanced to Update Up to 100 Records by Default Mass Update now supports updating of up to 100 selected records at a time. This is enhanced from 50 records. This is available by default to all customers. Setting a Different Tablet Theme from the Default Theme Displays a Switch Themes Link When a user has been configured to use a Default Theme and a different Tablet Theme, a Switch Theme link is available to the user. For Classic Theme, the link is displayed as the left-most header link. For Modern Theme, the link is displayed under the Name menu under the Configure column. Sign In Error Messages Have Been Modified to Improve Security In previous releases, depending on the type of the sign in attempt failure, a different error message would display which could aid in determining valid accounts. In Release 29, sign in attempt failures have been generalized to improve security and prevent the determination of valid accounts from invalid accounts. UI/Usability and Web Services Issues with Account as a Child of the Address Record in the User Interface and in Web Services In Release 29, Oracle CRM On Demand has temporarily withdrawn its support for an account as a child of an address record. This impacts customers using Address record via the user interface and integrations. For more information, see Issues with Account as a Child of the Address Record in the User Interface and in Web Services under Known Issue > UI/Usability and Web Services section. 7 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

Documentation Online Help The following documentation errors or omissions exist in Release 29 and will be corrected in a subsequent update. Recurring Activities Postponed Enhancement A planned enhancement to the Oracle CRM On Demand calendar to support recurring appointments and tasks in Release 29 has been postponed. This enhancement is currently under review to determine a suitable release target. As a result of the postponement of this enhancement, the following topics in Oracle CRM On Demand Online Help are not applicable to Release 29:» About Recurring Activities» Creating Recurring Activities In addition, any information about recurring activities in the following topics is not applicable to Release 29:» Updating Groups of Records» About Calendars and Theme Styles» Updating Activities» About Dragging and Dropping Appointments in Calendars» Working with Activity Lists» Saving Appointments as icalendar Files» About the Information in icalendar Files» Activity Fields Topic: About Enhanced Keyword Search The following bulleted points are missing from the Characteristics of Enhanced Keyword Search section in this topic:» Enhanced keyword search requires specialized search indexes. Data from Oracle CRM On Demand is synchronized to the search indexes over time intervals, therefore, you might find that a record that was recently added or modified is not found until a later time. 11 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE

» Because enhanced keyword search is a complex search, the search performance might vary depending on the search criteria and the data quality. It is recommended that you search with a more defined search criterion, or that you use the Advanced Search in cases where you know the exact string or field for which to search. Topic: About Limitations in Reports In this topic, the following section is missing: Currency Conversion Limits If a currency value is entered using a currency that is not the company's default currency, then Oracle CRM On Demand Answers converts that value to the company's default currency for use in reports. Large values that are acceptable for input in one currency may exceed value limits when converted to the company s default currency. When this occurs, the report generation cannot be completed. Topic: Adding Emails from Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes In this topic, in the description of sending an email and adding that email as a task to Oracle CRM On Demand, the following information is missing: NOTE: If you enter an email address greater than 100 characters, then the Outlook Email Integration client ignores that email address and the task is not added to Oracle CRM On Demand. Topic: Creating and Editing Fields In this topic, in the description of HTML tooltip display formats, the following information is incorrect: It is also recommended that you use padding when using HTML formatted tooltips to make the tooltip text easier to read. For example: <div style=\"background-color:red;padding:3px 8px;\"> This is a tooltip message with padding and a red background. </div> The correct information is: It is also recommended that you use padding when using HTML formatted tooltips to make the tooltip text easier to read. When you use the HTML tag <DIV>, it is recommended to use a border to ensure that the content in the <DIV> tag stays in the tooltip box. For example: <div style="background-color:red;padding:3px 8px; border-radius:5px;"> This is a tooltip message with padding and a red background. </div> Topic: Reviewing Export Results In this topic, in the description of retrieving the ZIP file for an export request, the following information is missing: NOTE: If you export the master audit trail, the CSV file contains the columns Record Type Display Name and Field Modified Display Name. These columns list the values displayed in the UI for the record type and modified field respectively. In contrast, the Field Modified and Record Type columns display only the record type s internal values. Topic: Setting Up Your Company Profile and Global Defaults In this topic, in the description of the Display Events in Calendar setting, the following information is missing: 12 ORACLE CRM ON DEMAND RELEASE 29 PRODUCT RELEASE NOTE
