1. ACCESS 1.1 Accessing to Webmail 5 Webmail 5 is quite similar to other web-based E-mail services that are accessible from any standard web browsers, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Procedure: Open your web browser and type in mail.th.com in the address bar on the top left of the page. (See picture 1.1) Picture 1.1 Enter your username and password. Click Login. 2. COMPOSE AND SEND E-MAIL MESSAGE 2.1 Composing a New E-mail Message Composing an E-mail in Webmail 5 is easy and quite similar to composing an E-mail message in other mail services. Procedure: In order to compose an E-mail, you will need to create a new mail message by clicking the icon on the navigation bar. (See picture 2.1) Picture 2.1 As the New Message window opens (See picture 2.2), fill in required information, including the recipient s E-mail address. Picture 2.2 Page 4 of 13
2.2 Sending a New E-mail Message After completing all details in E-mail body, recipient s E-mail address and subject of the E-mail, the user can attach files or image files in the E-mail (Click Attach ). Then click the icon the left (See picture 2.3) to send to the recipient. on Picture 2.3 Page 5 of 13
3. CONTACTS 3.1 Creating a Personal Contact List To make it more convenient, a user can create his or her personal contact lists, which could be lists of frequently contacted E-mails. If you send a multiple E-mail addresses, a contact list or a group will save your time. Procedure: At File choose New Contact. (See picture 3.1) Picture 3.1 As the window in picture 3.2 opens, type in new contact details including name, surname, contact number and E-mail address. Picture 3.2 Page 6 of 13
Fill in complete details and click OK. The new contact is now saved in the contact folder. (See picture 3.3) Picture 3.3 Once you have contact lists, you can create a new distribution list to group contracts. At Tool choose Address Book (See picture 3.4), alternatively, you can click the icon. ร ปท 3.4 Page 7 of 13
In a pop-up window, contacts are listed in the left panel. Select the contacts that you want to include to the group, then click Add. The selected contacts will be moved to the right panel. (See picture 3.5) Picture 3.5 Page 8 of 13
4. SHARED CONTACTS 4.1 Using Shared Contacts Shared contacts refer to employees account addresses that are shared within the organization to make it convenient for internal staff so that they don t have to memorize these E-mail addresse. This is also a convenient way to send and E-mail to multi-recipients. To use the shared contacts, go to Tool then choose Address Book (See picture 4.1). Then, compose a new E-mail message. Select your recipient s E-mail address from a personal address book, shared contacts or groups (See picture 4.3) then click -> to move those E-mail addresses to To, Cc or Bcc. Picture 4.3 Selected contacts will be moved to To, Cc or Bcc so the sender doesn t have to memorize each recipient s E-mail address. This makes it a lot easier when you want to send an E-mail to multiple E-mail addresses. Page 10 of 13
5. ACCOUNT PREFERENCES 5.1 Setting Account Preferences Users can change setting or choose their preferred webmail format, encrypt the E-mail message or set up an auto reply message. Procedure: At Preferences, select Account Preferences as you can see in picture 5.1. Picture 5.1 Choose your preferred settings from the options displayed in the right panel. In WebMail Preferences, you can personalize the settings, modify the webmail interface, choose the message encryption methods, auto reply, language format, time, date and signature to attach with outgoing mails. As you can see in picture 5.6, this Mail Security tab shows that Webmail 5 supports both outgoing and incoming message encryption. To use this option, you must generate a Unique PGP Key (PGP = Pretty Good Privacy which is the standard encryption or password for the message and attachment in an E-mail). The sender is the one who decide whether the E-mail is encrypted and what passcode should it be. Picture 5.6 Page 13 of 13
