CASE Star Predator Installation Guide 1. Open Chassis 1.1 Unscrew to remove both left and right panels. 2. Install Power Supply 2-1 Place the power supply into the chassis and secure with screws C. Face the power supply s Fan down towards the bottom case fan filter, allowing it to draw in cool air. 2-2 Please check the PSU dust filter is installed securely in its location. Notice : please remember to clean the psu dust filter regularly. 4
CASE Star Predator 3. Install Motherboard 3-2 Place the motherboard onto stand-offs and secure with screw A. Notice : NOT every motherboard is made by standard, please set stand-offs according to your motherboards. 3-1 Install motherboard stand-offs according to your motherboard s form factor. 3-3 Install the CPU, CPU cooler and DRAM modules. 4. Install Add-in Card 4-1 Unscrew the thumbscrew to remove the expansion slot cover. 4-2 Install the add-in card. 5
CASE Star Predator 4-3. Screw to secure the add-in card. 5. Install External 5.25 device 5-1. Take off the front bezel and remove the bay covers. 6
CASE Star Predator 5-2. Install devices from the front panel into the chassis and then secure with screw-less kits. 6. Install 3.5 HDD 6-1. Take out the removable HDD cage from chassis. 6-2. Put the 3.5 HDD onto the HDD tray and then secure with screws. 7
CASE Star Predator 6-3. Slide the HDD cage into chassis and then secure with screws. 7. Install 2.5 HDD/SSD 7-1. Take out the 2.5 Hdd tray from the back of motherboard tray. 8
CASE Star Predator 7-2. Put the 2.5 HDD/SSD onto HDD tray and then secure with screw A. 7-3. Put the 2.5 HDD/SSD onto HDD tray and then secure with screws. 8. Connect Top I/O & Fan Control Cables 8-1. Please refer to the illustration 8a to connect the front I/O cables to Motherboard USB 2.0 USB 3.0 to M/B to M/B Reset Button Reset SW Audio HD AUDIO connector Power Button Power SW to M/B HD AUDIO connector to M/B (1 Audio Connection per M/B, please check HD Audio) to M/B 8a 9
CASE Star Predator 9. System Ready 9-1. Double check that all connectors are solidly connected to motherboard, add-in cards and the other peripheral devices. 9-2. Close both side panels back and secure with screws 9-3. Computer system is ready. 10. Clean the Dust Filers Star predator case has 2 dust filters located on top cover and chassis bottom. Each dust filter could be detached to clean the dust. 10-1. Refer to illustration 10a to take out the plastic rivets for removing the top dust filter. 10a 10-2. Refer to illustration 10b to take out the dust filter from chassis bottom for cleaning. 10b 10
CASE Star Predator 11. Install Optional Equipment. Star predator has option to install additional fans on top cover or install a 240mm liquid cooling system instead of front pre-installed fans. 11-1 Install an additional fans on top cover. a. Remove the plastic rivets of top dust filter. b. Install additional 120/140mm fans up to 2 on top cover and secure with screw. 11-2 Remove the front fans to install a 240mm liquid cooling system. a. Take off the front bezel and remove the front fans. b. Individually secure the fans onto outer of front panel and then secure the radiator onto inner of front panel as sandwich. c. Put back front bezel back to chassis. 11
