Tips: Save the screws you remove for later use. Use a hand driver to avoid stripping the screw holes in the wood cabinet. Step-by-step Instructions: 1. Turn the Jukebox power off, and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 2. Remove the cover plate and the Audio output cover plate. See Figure 2. 4. Install the (Item 7) onto the Adapter Plate (Item 8) using the four #8-32 x 3/8 screws (Item 5). 5. Install the amplifier and adapter plate assembly in the location shown in Figure 4. Use the screws that were removed in Step 2. Install and Adapter Plate Assembly Figure 4- Install and Adapter Plate 6. At the location for the Output Transformer Assembly (Item 2), install four of the #8-32 x 7/8 screws (Item 6) in the location shown in Figure 5. The screws will thread into T-nuts located on the back of the cabinet. Leave the screws loose enough to install the second output transformer assembly. 7. Place the output transformer assembly over the screws. Verify no wires or cables are being pinched between the transformer assembly and the back of the jukebox cabinet and tighten the screws. Route the wires of the Audio Output Transformer Assembly up thru the cable clamps and across to the 2 nd amplifier. Plug the 2 pin male connector with the green and black wires into the "SPEAKER OUTPUT CHANNEL 1 OR 3" header, and the 2 pin male connector with the brown and black wires into the "SPEAKER OUTPUT CHANNEL 2 OR 4" header of the amplifier. 9. Install the transformer assembly (Item 1) in the location shown in Figure 8. Use the screws that were removed in Step 2. Connect the five-pin male connector from the main power harness, into the five pin female connector of the Transformer Assembly. This five-pin connector on the main harness can be located in the right hand corner of the jukebox and is part of the main power harness. See Figure 8. Existing Power Harness with 5 position connector Transformer Assembly Figure 8- Transformer Assembly installed. 10. Connect the Power Harness (Item 4) to the 8 pin Power/Mute header on the amplifier. Route the harness toward the right corner and down thru the cable clamps. Plug the six pin male connector into the six pin female connector of the power transformer. Connect the 3 pin housing to the "Mute3 4"header of the AV Controller or the AMP RESET CH3/CH4 of the 4 Channel Preamp. See Figure 9. 11. Connect the 3 foot Audio Cable Assembly (Item 3) to the input jacks on the amplifier. Route the Audio cables toward the right side of the jukebox and down to the AV controller or the 4 channel Preamp using all available cable clamps. Connect the white audio cable to the "CH3" jack and the red audio cable to the "CH4" jack of the AV Controller or the white audio cable to the CH3 INV jack and the red audio cable to the "CH4" jack of the 4 channel Preamp. Refer to Section 3 of your GrandSTAR Field Service Manual and the Network Setup Manual section 6.6 for VCU Setup information before connecting speakers to your Output Transformer. After making the speaker connections, remove the backing on the adhesive terminal pads (Item 10) and attach to the Terminal Pad Cover (Item 11) then mount the cover with the remaining two #8-32x7/8 screws. Apply the Caution Label (Item 9) as shown in Figure 11. Page 6 of 6
